From February 20th to 22nd, over 2,000 WordPress enthusiasts packed the vibrant city of Manila, Philippines, for three unforgettable days. There were tons of learning, networking, and, of course, fun! As first-time sponsors, we were beyond excited to share xCloud, meet amazing people, and be a part of the magic that is WordCamp Asia 2025.

A Big Step For xCloud as An Author Sponsor At WordCamp Asia 2025
As a brand of Startise, xCloud has always been passionate about supporting the WordPress ecosystem. We have been working to innovate and build the best hosting platform for WordPress users that remains stable, secure, and blazing fast. But this year was different. WordCamp Asia 2025 marked a huge milestone for us: we were proud to be an Author Sponsor at this global gathering of WordPress enthusiasts! Here’s our WordCamp Asia 2025 recap straight from our founder:
We’re not just here to showcase @xCloud_host, we’re here to LISTEN. 💡 Talking to users about their WordPress hosting challenges at @WordCampAsia has been insightful. The best part? Seeing their excitement when they realize what xCloud can do! 🚀

To be part of such a huge event and showcase our next-generation WordPress hosting to over 2,000 attendees was a dream come true. The event provided the perfect opportunity to connect with the WordPress community, share our vision for the future of hosting, and get feedback from some of the brightest minds in the space. And, let us be honest, nothing compares to the energy of being in a room full of people who are all as excited about WordPress as we are!
Key Highlights of WordCamp Asia 2025: Contribution, Conference & Insightful sessions
This WordCamp Asia 2025 recap would not be complete without sharing the most exciting parts of the event itself. WordCamp Asia isn’t just a conference — it’s a hub of ideas, learning, and connections. Whether you’re a developer, agency owner, or newcomer, there was something for everyone.
📍Contributor Day : A Chance to Give Back to WordPress
Contributor Day kicked off the event on February 20th, and we were ready to jump right in! Contributor Day is always a highlight at WordCamps because it is when the magic of open-source really comes to life. It is a chance for WordPress contributors to give back to the project in a tangible way, whether it is through code contributions, improving documentation, or helping out with marketing efforts.

For us, it was incredible to see over 700 contributors from around the world come together to enhance WordPress. It was not just about the technical work, it was about the sense of community and shared purpose. We were able to connect with first-time contributors, guide them through the process, and help them make their first contributions. It was an inspiring experience that made us even prouder to be part of this vibrant ecosystem.
Contributor Day wasn’t all serious business, though. It was also a lot of fun! The conversations were lively, the collaborative energy was contagious, and there was plenty of laughter and high-fives all around. You could really feel the excitement in the air, and it was amazing to see new faces excited about contributing to WordPress for the first time.
📍Conference Days: A Chance to Learn & Gain Insights Of Many Things
Once the Contributor Day energy settled, it was time for the Conference Days—February 21st and 22nd—when the real action happened. And trust us, there was no shortage of incredible content!
The sessions were packed with insights on everything from Gutenberg development to AI-powered workflows. But what really stood out for us were the moments in between—the random interactions, the one-on-one conversations, and the amazing connections that made WordCamp so special.
One of the standout moments for us was when Nazmul Hasan Robin, one of our very own team members, took the stage to deliver a session titled, “Anatomy of WordPress Bug Scrub: What & How.” Nazmul has deep experience working with WordPress bugs, and his session dove into the process of identifying, analyzing, and fixing bugs in WordPress core. It was amazing to watch the attendees soak up his knowledge, taking notes and asking thoughtful questions. Seeing the excitement in their eyes as they learned about this critical part of maintaining WordPress was something we will never forget.

And if you think Contributor Day was the only time for collaboration, think again! The panel discussion “WordPress in 2030” took the stage on Day 2, where industry leaders discussed the future of WordPress, new technologies, and sustainability in open-source. It sparked some deep conversations, and it was inspiring to hear what the future holds for WordPress. The discussions weren’t just technical—they were visionary, and they got us all thinking about how we can continue to push the boundaries of what is possible with WordPress.
Day 2 introduced YouthCamp, inspiring young developers to explore WordPress, along with workshops on AI-powered workflows, Headless WooCommerce, and advanced Gutenberg development. One of our proudest moments was Nazmul Hasan Robin’s session, “Anatomy of WordPress Bug Scrub: What & How.” His session provided invaluable insights into identifying and fixing bugs in WordPress core, shedding light on the critical process of maintaining platform stability.

The event wrapped up with the Closing Keynote by WordPress Co-Founder, Matt Mullenweg. He shared his vision for the role of AI, the future of open-source, and what lies ahead for WordPress, leaving attendees inspired and excited.
The xCloud Booth: A Hub Of Learning, Fun, Swag, And Surprises
Let us talk about the most exciting part, the booth! As much as we love all the technical sessions and discussions, our booth was where the real fun happened. Our team was on hand to chat with attendees, share insights on how xCloud can revolutionize hosting, and, of course, give away some cool swags. From stylish t-shirts to caps, stickers, and more, we made sure everyone walked away with something special.

On top of that, we had some fun activities lined up to keep the energy high! Visitors had a blast with games like “Pose Like a Wappu,” the “10 Seconds WordPress Challenge,” and more. It was so much fun seeing everyone get competitive and creative — and the best part? They grabbed some really cool swags just for participating.

But the real showstopper was our Mega Giveaway — made even more exciting by the xCloud Speed Test Challenge! Visitors played this fun game to test their speed and accuracy, adding a playful twist to the booth experience. The winners of the challenge walked away with the coveted mega giveaways, making the moment even more thrilling.
Attendees were eager to learn about how xCloud can make their WordPress hosting experience faster, more secure, and more reliable. And in this event, we genuinely built connections, hearing people’s stories, and getting to know the WordPress community on a deeper level.
