History was made in the Silk City. For the very first time, WordCamp was held in the northern city of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, and the city welcomed it with open arms.

On July 2nd and 3rd, 2026, more than 580 members of the WordPress community gathered at the RUET Auditorium for two unforgettable days of learning, contributing, and connecting. Team xCloud is proud to sponsor and be there supporting local WordPress communities, which is close to our hearts, and standing with WordCamp Rajshahi was a moment we will not forget. Here is our recap of everything that made this first-ever event so special.
A Historic First: The Biggest WordPress Gathering In Rajshahi At RUET
Rajshahi has a growing and passionate WordPress community, and for a long time the dream was to bring a WordCamp to the city. After months of planning and hard work by the local organizers and volunteers, that dream finally came true in 2026. And what an exciting and momentous event it has been! This was the first-ever WordCamp in Rajshahi, attended by WordPress enthusiasts, professionals, and anybody who is or wants to be a part of the platform’s community.
WordPress users from across Bangladesh came together at the RUET Auditorium, right on the green campus of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, one of the nation’s premier engineering institutions. With its spacious halls and welcoming facilities, the campus provided a professional and inspiring home for two full days of learning, networking, and fun. Day One, on July 2nd, was Contributor Day, where new and seasoned contributors came together to translate strings, write documentation, fix bugs, and test releases for the WordPress project. Day Two, on July 3rd, was the main Conference Day, packed with expert-led talks, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions.
From the warm-hearted nature of the organizers, sponsors, attendees, and locals, to all of the extraordinary conversations everyone had along the way, nothing was short of incredible. The energy and enthusiasm throughout the venue were phenomenal, and it was a fantastic success that has left a mark on everyone’s memories.
Insightful Sessions From Industry Experts On Conference Day
Conference Day on July 3rd was packed from morning to evening with talks, workshops, and panels from some of the brightest minds in the Bangladeshi tech community. A big theme this year was artificial intelligence and how it is reshaping the way people build for the web. Sessions covered connecting Claude AI to WordPress through MCP without writing a single line of code, building AI support agents for plugins, cleaning malware-infected sites with AI, and pair programming with modern large language models.
There was something for everyone. Developers dug into object caching, vector databases and RAG, Node.js internals, and GSAP animations with no code needed. Others focused on career and business, with talks on developer career progression, AI search visibility, building win-win partnerships, and staying efficient after years of remote work. A few speakers shared honest, personal stories too, from prioritizing mental health on the road to a six-figure career, to how small and consistent steps carried one contributor from RUET all the way to the global WordPress community.

The panel discussions were a highlight of the day. One panel explored the AI frontier and how WordPress professionals are redefining their roles, products, and growth.

One of the most talked-about sessions of the day was the panel on how AI is changing software companies in Bangladesh. M Asif Rahman, founder of xCloud, joined the discussion in the Auditorium alongside Shahjahan Jewel and M M Muraduzzaman Konok, hosted by Ashiq Mahmud. The panel dug into how AI is reshaping the way local software companies build products, run teams, and plan for the future. M Asif Rahman shared his own experience of leading a growing company through this shift, and offered a practical look at where the industry is headed. The room was full of people eager to learn from the conversation.
xCloud At #WCRajshahi: A Booth Full Of Fun, Games & Community
Team xCloud was a Fazlee Majesty (Platinum) sponsor of WordCamp Rajshahi, and we attended this event with our team. It was a wonderful experience to be part of a community event so close to home. Our booth was a buzzing hotspot of excitement all day, always full of well-wishers and users who stopped by to connect with us. We exchanged ideas, talked one-to-one with our product users, and the positive feedback we received was overwhelming.

We also made sure the booth was a lot of fun. Attendees eagerly tried their luck at our booth games to uncover exciting prizes and collected a wide range of goodies, including trendy t-shirts, cool sunglasses, stylish notebooks, handy calendars, and catchy stickers. But the games and swags were about more than just prizes. They were a fun way to break the ice and start a conversation. And that led to the best part of any WordCamp: connecting with each other. Everyone was saying hi, taking pictures, and making new friends.

Because we did not come to Rajshahi just to hand out prizes. We came because we care about local WordPress communities. When people meet in their own city, they grow together. Newcomers learn from those with more experience, ideas spread, and the whole ecosystem gets stronger. Bangladesh has a growing WordPress community full of smart and passionate people, and events like WordCamp Rajshahi help that community get even stronger. That is why xCloud is proud to sponsor WordCamp Rajshahi and the local communities that make WordPress thrive, and we look forward to supporting many local events to come.

Team xCloud At #WCRajshahi: Contributing To WordPress As Speakers, Volunteers, And Table Leads
Beyond sponsoring WordCamp Rajshahi, several of our team members were directly involved with the event as speakers, volunteers, and table leads. As mentioned earlier, our founder M Asif Rahman, took part in a panel discussion on Conference Day. Two of our team members, Fuad and Nowshin, also participated as volunteers, and we want to thank all the volunteers whose hard work made this event a memorable one for everyone.

Two more team members, Linkon and Zakaria, took part as table leads on Contributor Day. Contributor Day was dedicated to making the WordPress project better through contributing across different teams, from marketing, to documentation, translation, and more. To contribute, you do not need to be a coder or designer or even have any WordPress knowledge. It is a brilliant way to get involved and learn about the project. Many newcomers created their WordPress.org profiles and joined the Make WordPress Slack channel, and with the guidance of table leads like Linkon and Zakaria, participants embarked on a day filled with valuable contributions and meaningful engagement.
Thank You, Rajshahi! ♥️
WordCamp Rajshahi 2026 was one for the books, and it would not have happened without the people who made it special. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers and volunteers whose hard work brought this first-ever WordCamp to life. Thank you to the speakers who shared their knowledge and to the entire local WordPress community for showing up with so much energy and warmth.
And to everyone who stopped by the xCloud booth, played our games, and shared a chat with our team, thank you. You made our first WordCamp Rajshahi truly memorable. We cannot wait to see you again at the next one. Until then, keep building.
