v2.9.9.3
Redis Host and Port on Site Credentials, and To-Dos That Stay Fixed
You can now copy your site’s Redis host and port straight from Site Credentials. The Security updates are waiting To-Do no longer fails after you click Fix and comes back every hour. This release also keeps MariaDB starting after the MariaDB Security Patch and fixes a Backups page that looked empty.
⚡ Improvements
- Redis Host and Port on Site Credentials: the Redis Credentials block now shows Redis Host and Redis Port, each with a copy button. Before, custom PHP and Laravel sites had every value for their .env file except these two. How to Find Redis Credentials and Fix Redis Connection Errors
- Redis key prefix note: on custom PHP and Node.js sites, a line under the block explains that your app must use the Redis Object Cache Key as its Redis key prefix. The site’s Redis user can only read and write keys that start with it.
- See which updates were not installed: the Security Update page shows Other updates, not installed automatically with each package, its version and the reason when known. For example, an update needs Ubuntu Pro, or an update was skipped last time and will be checked again within a day. How Automated Security Updates and Auto Reboot Work in xCloud
- MariaDB 11 servers: the Security Update page now says Only MariaDB 11.8 is updated automatically on a MariaDB 11 server that is not on 11.8.
- MariaDB 10.6 end of life: the end-of-life note on the Security Update card now links to How to move to a new server. Apply the MariaDB Security Patch in xCloud
🐞 Bug Fixes
- To-Do
- The Security updates are waiting To-Do no longer fails after Fix and comes back with every hourly report. Updates that need Ubuntu Pro, or updates that were skipped last time, no longer keep it open.
- Servers stuck in the Security updates To-Do now clear after one more Fix or Retry.
- The WordPress updates To-Do now lists a site as soon as Update Manager finds updates. It now counts the same sites as Update Manager, so the two pages agree.
- An open To-Do drawer now refreshes when Update Manager finds new updates.
- A PHP security patch is needed no longer reopens when you install or remove a PHP version. A newly installed version that is already up to date counts as patched after Scan Patch in Manage PHP.
- MariaDB
- After the MariaDB Security Patch, MariaDB now starts normally after a restart. Before, a cleanup step could remove files MariaDB needs.
- Uninstalling Node.js, Docker or a PHP version no longer stops MariaDB from starting.
- The MariaDB Security Patch summary now says All servers are patched. No action is needed. when every server is patched. Before, it always said some servers needed attention.
- Backups
- Previous Backups no longer says “You have no Backup yet” after you delete every backup on the last page. You now land on the last page that still has backups.
Please note
- PHP uninstall can now stop: if removing a PHP version would also remove database packages, xCloud stops and the PHP page says the version was not uninstalled: removing it would also remove database packages. Nothing was removed. Your PHP version and your databases stay as they were.
