Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. What is Cypht?

An open-source webmail aggregator that unifies Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo and any IMAP account into one inbox. This template deploys version 2.12.2.

Is Cypht a mail server?

No. Cypht connects to mailboxes you already have, over IMAP/SMTP (or JMAP and EWS). It does not host mail, and xCloud does not provide mailboxes with it. Your messages stay with your mail provider; Cypht keeps a cached copy of message metadata on your server.

Can you self-host Cypht?

Yes — that is what this is. Self-hosting normally means assembling the container, a database, a domain and a certificate yourself. On xCloud Cypht is a OneClick app, so the server, the database, the domain and the SSL are provisioned for you in about five minutes.

Do I need technical skills?

No. There is no terminal, no Docker Compose file to edit and no setup script to run. You pick a plan, we deploy, and you sign in with the admin login shown after install. Change that password in Settings straight away.

What are the server requirements?

The template manifest asks for 1024 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 5 GB of disk as a floor. This page sells the 6 GB tier, which is comfortably above that.

Where does my data live?

On your own server. Cypht keeps its accounts, settings, attachments and cached mail on persistent named volumes that survive a restart, and backups run on the schedule you set. Your original mailboxes stay with your mail providers.

Is it exposed to the internet?

It is served on your own domain over HTTPS, with the certificate issued and renewed for you. The webmail sits behind a login, and you can add two-factor authentication in Cypht's settings.

Can I run other apps on the same server?

Yes. It is a dedicated Cloud VPS, not a locked appliance, so you can deploy other OneClick apps or your own sites beside it as long as the resources are there.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
