Capabilities

A Platform built for how independent publishers actually work

Ghost is an open-source publishing platform from the non-profit Ghost Foundation, released under the MIT licence. The editor feels like any modern writing tool. What’s different is that the audience, the payments and the data are yours.

Editor & Themes

A clean writing editor with cards for images, embeds and code, plus Handlebars themes you can restyle or replace.

Newsletters

Send posts to your members as email. Ghost handles segments and sending rules; you connect your own bulk-mail provider.

Memberships & Tiers

Free and paid tiers, with signup, sign-in and member management built into the site itself.

Payments via Stripe

Connect your own Stripe account and take subscription payments directly. Nobody sits between you and the money.

Your Own Domain

Ghost serves your site on your domain from day one, with the SSL certificate issued and renewed by xCloud.

Content API

Read and write posts programmatically, or run Ghost headless behind a front end you build yourself.

Integrations & Webhooks

Zapier, Slack, analytics and custom webhooks fire on publish, signup and subscription events.

Full Data Ownership

The database and content files live on your server. Back them up, move them, or export the lot as JSON.

Hear What The Users Have To Say

We are delighted with the enthusiastic response from our users. Read some of the great feedback we have received so far!

@tlewisverdu

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn’t imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included).
For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation.
I’m sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

xCloud isn’t just a solution. It’s like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Tony Lewis

@tlewisverdu

I’ve recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud.

I have to say, I’m really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.

Paul Goulart

@freelivingsoul

I set this up locally, tried AWS and Digital Ocean with disappointing results. Setup on Xcloud was easy and it’s still working!

Brian Geovanny

@braingigio

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising.

Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!

@leowrites

I’m moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team.  Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud!

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

@rahilmaknojia

Dear xCloud Team,
I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It’s a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive.

Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. xCloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Dan Spinoza

@tlewisverdu

I had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.

Your Story Should Be Live Right Now.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have

What is Ghost?

Ghost is an open-source publishing platform for blogs, newsletters and paid memberships, maintained by the non-profit Ghost Foundation and released under the MIT licence. It bundles a writing editor, themes, member signup, email newsletters and Stripe-backed subscriptions into a single application you run yourself. Ghost(Pro) is the Ghost Foundation’s own hosting service and is separate from xCloud; this page is about running Ghost on your own server.

How do I deploy Ghost on xCloud?

Ghost is available through xCloud’s One Click Apps. Create a Docker server in your xCloud dashboard, open One Click Apps, select Ghost, add your domain, and deploy. xCloud provisions the container, configures Nginx, maps the domain, and issues the SSL certificate for you. You then finish Ghost’s own setup wizard to create the owner account. Email newsletters need a bulk-mail provider you connect yourself — Ghost does not send them without one.

Do I need a Docker server to run Ghost?

Yes. Ghost runs as a containerised Node.js application, so it needs to be deployed on a Docker server. When you create a new server in xCloud, choose Docker as the server type — you can then deploy Ghost to it from One Click Apps.
