Deploy OpenRAG on xCloud and get OpenRAG hosting for a self-hosted RAG platform where your team uploads documents, then searches and chats with them. xCloud runs the pinned images with OpenSearch as the knowledge base, a Langflow editor for the ingestion and chat flows and a Docling parser, generates the credentials, mounts persistent volumes and publishes both web UIs over HTTPS.
OpenRAG is a self-hosted RAG platform, short for retrieval-augmented generation, for document search and AI-powered conversations. A self-hosted OpenRAG lets you upload, process and query documents through a chat interface backed by large language models and semantic search, in place of pasting files into a hosted assistant such as ChatGPT. Upstream builds it with FastAPI and Next.js, powered by OpenSearch, Langflow and Docling, under the Apache-2.0 licence.
On xCloud the install runs OpenRAG 0.8.0 as five containers: frontend and backend, OpenSearch, Docling and Langflow, with official images pinned by digest. Only the OpenRAG and Langflow web UIs are public; seven named volumes hold the index, database, keys, uploads and flows. The template adds HTTP Basic with a generated password in front of OpenRAG, which has no login of its own by default.
An OpenRAG stack normally means a search cluster, a flow engine, a document parser, a backend, a frontend, generated secrets, volumes, domains and certificates before the first upload. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick OpenRAG from the OneClick catalog. Choose one domain for the OpenRAG UI and one for the Langflow editor — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned OpenRAG frontend and backend, OpenSearch, Docling and Langflow, keep OpenSearch, Docling and the backend private, mount seven named volumes, generate the passwords and publish both UIs over HTTPS. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the first start.
Step 03
Save the OpenRAG and Langflow usernames and passwords from the installation credentials, open your HTTPS OpenRAG URL and sign in. Choose a model provider and enter its API key on the onboarding screen, then upload your first document and ask it a question.
OpenRAG runs in full here: a web UI for uploading, searching and chatting with documents, with the flows behind it open to edit.
Upload documents, then search them or chat with them from one web UI backed by large language models and semantic search.
Ingestion and chat run as Langflow flows you can open and edit in the bundled Langflow editor, which has its own login.
Documents are parsed by a bundled Docling service and indexed in OpenSearch, which handles messy real-world files.
Pick a provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Ollama during onboarding. Hosted providers need your own API key.
OpenRAG has no login of its own by default, so the template puts HTTP Basic with a generated password in front of it. Optional Google sign-in can be enabled in the Environment editor.
Your index, database, configuration, signing keys, uploads, flows and Langflow data each live on a persistent named volume.
Managed hosting for OpenRAG, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Upload files once, then search them or chat with them from one web UI instead of digging through shared folders for the right page.
Your index, uploads, signing keys and configuration sit on volumes on a Cloud VPS you control, and you decide which model provider answers each question.
Open the bundled Langflow editor to adjust the ingestion and chat flows, such as how documents are processed, instead of treating retrieval as a black box.
Point OpenRAG at an Ollama endpoint during onboarding so a team can answer from models it hosts itself; hosted providers still need your own API key.

Dedicated Cloud VPS sizes, pre-configured for OpenRAG hosting. OpenRAG's baseline asks for 8192 MB of RAM, so the 16 GB size is the entry rung here.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Yes, and this template is OpenRAG Docker hosting without the setup. Upstream documents Docker or Podman for self-managed services; here xCloud runs the pinned frontend, backend, OpenSearch, Docling and Langflow containers, adds seven volumes and generated secrets, and publishes two HTTPS domains.
The template asks for 8192 MB of RAM, 4 CPU cores and 40 GB of disk, and measured idle use in QA was about 5 GB. That is why this page sells the 16 GB plan as the entry rung. Large documents ingest slowly on CPU.
No. OpenRAG has no login of its own unless Google sign-in is configured, so this template puts HTTP Basic with a generated password in front of the OpenRAG domain. Everyone who signs in shares one document pool, and the Langflow editor has its own administrator login.
You pick one during onboarding, such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Ollama, and the template also passes IBM watsonx settings through. Hosted providers need your own API key. QA drove an Ollama sidecar only, so hosted-provider runs were not verified.
The first start pulls five images, several gigabytes in total including a PyTorch-bearing Langflow image, and creates the search index. Allow 10 to 15 minutes before the page responds. Sample documents are also indexed during onboarding by default.
The web proxy accepts uploads up to 512 MB per request, and upstream documents no per-file cap. Uploads are buffered in memory, and large files ingest slowly on CPU, especially with OCR, so very large files need more RAM and patience.
Back up all seven volumes together: opensearch_data, openrag_data, openrag_config, openrag_keys, openrag_documents, openrag_flows and langflow_data. The keys and flows volumes are needed to read the rest. Do not edit the OpenSearch or Langflow passwords after install, and keep them private.
The install stays on its pinned 0.8.0 images until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the volumes first and read the upstream release notes. The flows volume is seeded from the image at first start, so flows shipped by this release stay pinned to it.
Yes. OpenRAG is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence, so the application itself is free to run. The costs on this page are the Cloud VPS, plus your own usage at any hosted model provider you connect, which xCloud does not bill.
They overlap: both let you build a document knowledge base and chat with it. OpenRAG packages Langflow flows, OpenSearch and Docling together, while RAGFlow is its own engine with deep document understanding. Both have OneClick pages, so you can compare them on the same server size.
In the sense that it runs on a Cloud VPS of your own, yes. xCloud provisions the server and deploys the open-source containers on it, so the knowledge base, uploads and flows stay on your server, and you keep the application and its data.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
