Speakr hosting on xCloud lets you deploy Speakr and turn recordings into searchable transcripts and summaries on a server you control. xCloud runs the pinned Speakr 0.10.5-alpha image with a generated administrator password and session secret, mounts persistent volumes for uploads and application state, and publishes it over HTTPS in minutes. You bring your own OpenAI and OpenRouter API keys for the models.
Speakr is a self-hosted AI transcription and intelligent note-taking platform. Upstream says it transforms audio recordings into organized, searchable notes and runs on your own infrastructure for privacy-conscious groups and individuals. You upload a file or record in the browser, and Speakr produces a transcript, a title and a summary, and lets you ask questions about what was said. A self-hosted Speakr is AGPL-3.0 licensed, and this release is labelled alpha.
On xCloud the template runs Speakr 0.10.5-alpha from the official image, pinned by digest, with uploads on speakr_uploads and the database on speakr_instance. Transcription is not local: uploaded audio goes to OpenAI with your key, and transcript text may go to OpenRouter for titles, summaries and chat. Public registration is closed, and you sign in with the administrator email.
A Speakr install normally means a container, two persistent volumes, a session secret, an administrator account, provider keys, a domain and a certificate before the first upload. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Speakr from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain, then enter the administrator email, your OpenAI transcription API key and your OpenRouter text-model API key.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Speakr image, pinned by immutable digest, mount the speakr_uploads and speakr_instance volumes, generate the administrator password and session secret, turn public registration off and publish the app over HTTPS with no public database or cache port.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS URL and sign in with the administrator email and the generated password shown in the credentials. Upload a short, non-sensitive MP3 or M4A recording and check its transcript and title.
Speakr runs in full here: upload or record audio, read the transcript, and get summaries and chat, with your recordings stored on volumes you own.
Each recording becomes a transcript you can search, with playback synced to the text so you can jump to any line.
Speakr generates a title and summary for every recording through the OpenRouter text model you configure.
Ask questions about a recording and get answers drawn from its transcript, with timestamps that start playback at that moment.
Organize a growing library with folders and tags, and search across recordings with Inquire Mode.
The template uses OpenAI's gpt-4o-transcribe-diarize model, which labels who said what in a recording.
xCloud generates the administrator password and public registration is disabled; add further users from Speakr's administrator interface.
Managed hosting for Speakr, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Upload research or press interviews and find a quote later by searching the transcript instead of replaying the audio.
Let Speakr write a title and summary for each recording, then ask follow-up questions about it in chat.
Uploaded audio, the database and generated files live on volumes on your server rather than in a hosted note-taking service.
Organize recordings in folders and tags, and search across them as the collection grows.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

The app is AGPL-3.0 open source and free to run. Costs come from the Cloud VPS plus OpenAI and OpenRouter, which bill separately for the transcription and text-model calls made with the keys you supply.
The manifest asks for 2 CPU cores, 4096 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk, and real sizing depends on recording volume and concurrent processing. That floor is why this page sells the 16 GB plan rather than the 6 GB one.
Yes, and this template is Speakr Docker hosting without the setup: the learnedmachine/speakr 0.10.5-alpha image pinned by digest, a generated administrator password and session secret, two named volumes and HTTPS on your domain, while the transcription provider stays external.
No. You supply your own OpenAI transcription key and OpenRouter text-model key at install, and you remain responsible for usage and billing with those providers. The template uses gpt-4o-transcribe-diarize for transcription and openai/gpt-4o-mini for text.
Recordings are stored on your server's volumes, but uploaded audio is sent to the configured transcription provider and transcript text may be sent to the text-model provider. Review each provider's privacy, retention and billing terms before you deploy.
Upload MP3 or M4A recordings. WAV uploads fail with the default gpt-4o-transcribe-diarize model. The template raises the nginx limit to 300 MB per upload, and a higher limit set in Speakr's Admin Settings is still capped there.
Sign in with the administrator email you entered, not the username admin, and the generated password from your credentials. Public registration is disabled, so create further users from Speakr's administrator interface and grant administrator rights sparingly.
Back up speakr_uploads and speakr_instance together while transcription jobs are stopped. The first holds recorded audio and the second the database and generated files. A full restore also needs the same stable session secret, so keep it with the backup.
The install stays on 0.10.5-alpha until you adopt a newer template version. Stop active jobs, back up both volumes and test the migration on a restored copy first, because a migrated database may not downgrade safely. Nothing upgrades the app automatically.
This page is your own Speakr cloud: a dedicated Cloud VPS running the open-source app, with recordings and the database on volumes of your own. Nobody else shares it, though transcription still uses the external provider you configure.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
