Deploy 9Router hosting and point Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline and your other AI tools at one gateway on your own domain instead of localhost on a single laptop. xCloud runs the pinned 9Router 0.5.40 container, publishes it over HTTPS, generates the initial password and keeps your providers, API keys and combos on a persistent volume.
9Router is an open-source, MIT-licensed AI router. It sits between your AI coding tools and the model providers you use, exposes one OpenAI-compatible endpoint, translates between provider API formats and falls back through the combos you define when a quota or rate limit stops one provider.
By default it listens on localhost on the machine it runs on. On xCloud it runs as one container behind HTTPS on your own domain, so every machine on your team can use the same gateway.
A 9Router setup normally means a container, a data volume, a reverse proxy, a domain, a certificate and a set of secrets before a tool can reach it. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick 9Router from the OneClick catalog and choose your domain and target server. There are no extra install fields.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official 9Router container, pinned by immutable digest, with no database service to run alongside it, mount the 9router_data volume for its SQLite database, generate the initial password and the JWT, API-key and machine-ID secrets, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the initial password from your installation credentials, sign in and change it. Then connect a provider, create an API key and point your AI tool at https://your-domain/v1 with that key.
9Router runs in full here: one gateway for every AI tool you use, with its configuration on a volume you control.
Point Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline or OpenCode at a single /v1 URL on your domain and let the gateway decide which provider answers.
Group models under one name and fall back in order, for example from a subscription to a cheaper model to a free one when a quota or rate limit is hit.
Connect several accounts per provider, translate between OpenAI, Claude and Gemini style APIs, and let 9Router refresh OAuth tokens for you.
See how much of each subscription you have used and review usage analytics in the dashboard.
RTK compresses tool output before it reaches the model, with optional Caveman and Ponytail prompt modes.
Gateway requests need a 9Router API key, and admin and API endpoints return 401 without a login.
Managed hosting for 9Router, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Give every developer the same HTTPS endpoint and a 9Router API key instead of a localhost address that only works on one laptop.
Define a combo that falls back from a subscription to a cheaper model and then a free one, so a rate limit does not stop your tools.
Connect more than one account per provider and let the router spread requests across them.
Turn on the token savers to compress tool output before it reaches the model, and watch usage in the dashboard.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.
Karl FanegaHow Advanced Web Strategies Saved Over $2,000 & Recovered 56 Hours per Month Managing 70+ Client Websites
Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

John ApertureI went from Cloudways to xCloud. No intention on switching in the foreseeable future.

It sits in front of many providers and accounts, translates between API formats and falls back through the combos you define, so a rate limit or exhausted quota on one provider does not stop your tools.
Use the initial password from the protected installation credentials in xCloud, then change it inside 9Router. Upstream's default password is not accepted on xCloud, and 9Router does not force the change, so do it right after your first sign-in.
Create an API key in the 9Router dashboard and set your tool's OpenAI-compatible endpoint to https://your-domain/v1 with that key. A request with a bad bearer token is rejected with 401.
No. 9Router routes to providers and accounts that you connect yourself. Their usage and costs stay with those providers.
Nothing. It is a single container with its own SQLite database. The optional Headroom compression service is not enabled.
The 9router_data volume as one unit, together with the generated JWT_SECRET, API_KEY_SECRET and MACHINE_ID_SALT values. The volume also holds 9Router's own database backups under /app/data/db/backups/.
You can, in the site's Environment editor with Save & Redeploy, but changing JWT_SECRET, API_KEY_SECRET or MACHINE_ID_SALT can invalidate existing sessions or API keys. Back up the volume first.
The environment file lists commented-out settings for a public BASE_URL for OIDC, the secure-cookie flag, request logging, an outbound HTTP or SOCKS proxy, SearXNG web search and a Headroom URL. Set them and Save & Redeploy.
No. The template pins 9Router 0.5.40 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up the 9router_data volume first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 4 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 64 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, which leaves generous headroom above that baseline.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the 9Router project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source 9Router project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
