Budibase Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Budibase hosting and run internal tools, admin panels and automations on your own server. xCloud brings up the pinned Budibase v3.48.0 stack, wires the app, worker, CouchDB, MinIO file storage, Redis and the LiteLLM AI gateway together on a private network, creates your administrator account from the install form and publishes only the Budibase endpoint over HTTPS in minutes.

What is Budibase?

Budibase is an open-source platform for building internal tools, admin panels, forms and automations on top of your own data. It combines a visual builder, a built-in database, file storage and role-based access, and upstream also describes agents that run workflows across your business systems.

This page covers the self-hosted deployment: the whole stack runs on your own server, you sign in with an administrator account created at install, and your apps, rows and uploaded files stay on volumes you control.

From Sign-Up to a Live Workspace In Just 3 Easy Steps

A self-hosted Budibase stack normally means a proxy, app and worker services, a document database, file storage, a cache, generated secrets, a domain and a certificate before the first table. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Budibase from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then enter the administrator email and password, or leave the password empty to have one generated.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the Budibase proxy, app and worker services with private CouchDB, MinIO, Redis and LiteLLM (with its PostgreSQL database), none of them on a host port, mount the couchdb3_data, minio_data, redis_data and litellm_data volumes, generate the internal secrets and publish the proxy over HTTPS on your domain. First boot takes a few minutes while the bundled services set up their databases.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Create A Workspace

Save the administrator credentials shown in the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Budibase URL and sign in with that email and password. Create your first workspace, then invite your team from the Budibase portal.

Everything Budibase Does, On Your Own Server

Budibase runs in full here: a visual builder, built-in data tables, automations and role-based user management on a stack you own.

  • Internal Tools And Admin Panels

Build internal tools, admin panels and forms on top of your own data with the visual builder.

  • Built-In Data Tables

Create tables in the built-in Budibase database and work with rows from the Data tables view, with import and export available on each table.

  • Automations And Agents

Upstream describes Budibase agents and automations that run workflows, create records and route approvals. AI features are optional and use the provider keys you add inside Budibase.

  • Connections And API

Connect databases, AI models and business apps from the Connections area, and use the Budibase public API to treat Budibase as a backend.

  • Users, Roles And Invitations

Invite your team from the portal and control who can see and change what with role-based access, from one self-hosted instance.

  • Private Services Only

Only the Budibase endpoint is exposed. CouchDB, MinIO, Redis, the app and worker services and the AI gateway have no host ports.

Everything You Need To Run Your Internal Tools 24/7

Managed hosting for Budibase, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Budibase v3.48.0 deployed instantly
  • Images pinned by immutable digest
  • Administrator account created for you
  • Database, storage and cache kept private
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Budibase

  • Internal tools on top of your own data

Give your team a purpose-built app over the tables and data sources they already work from, instead of passing spreadsheets around.

  • Admin panels for your products

Build a back-office view where support and operations staff can look up and edit records without direct database access.

  • Forms and approvals

Collect structured requests with forms and route them through automations to the people who need to act.

  • Role-based access for a team

Invite colleagues from one self-hosted instance and control what each role can see and change.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What makes Budibase different from a generic admin panel builder?

Budibase is built around your own data sources and a visual builder, and it ships its own database, file storage and role-based access. It is open source, so you can self-host it.

How do I sign in after install?

Use the administrator email and password from the protected credentials panel. The account is created on first start and there is no open registration window. Create your first workspace and invite others from inside Budibase.

What runs alongside Budibase?

Several bundled services run on a private network: the application and worker services, CouchDB for data, MinIO for uploaded files, Redis for cache and queues, and the LiteLLM AI gateway with its PostgreSQL database. None of them publish a host port.

Do I need to set up AI keys?

No. AI features are optional. Add your AI provider keys inside Budibase when you want to use them.

Why is first boot slow?

First boot takes a few minutes while the bundled services set up their databases. Wait for the install to finish before opening the Budibase URL.

What should I back up?

Back up the four named volumes together: couchdb3_data (application data), minio_data (uploaded files), redis_data (cache and queues) and litellm_data (the AI gateway database), plus the generated secrets from the site environment. Restored datasource credentials need the original encryption key, and stored AI provider keys need the original LiteLLM salt.

Can I change the generated secrets?

Not once data exists. Several of them (JWT, API encryption, internal API, CouchDB, MinIO, Redis and the LiteLLM salt) are fixed at first start. Keep them safe, and change the administrator password inside Budibase, not in the environment.

Will my data survive a restart?

Yes. In the verify run, rows, apps and uploaded files were still present after a full restart of all eight containers, because they live on named volumes. Do not run docker compose down -v, which deletes the volumes.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Budibase?

No. The template pins Budibase v3.48.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 16 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 2 CPU cores, 4096 MB of RAM and 20 GB of disk; about 2.6 GB (2611 MiB) of memory was in use under the verify run's test workload. This page sells the 16 GB tier as the entry rung because a 4 GB minimum leaves little headroom on a 6 GB server.

What licence is Budibase under?

Budibase is a mixed-licence repository. The server and worker are GPL-3.0, the client packages are MPL-2.0, and some Pro components are source-available under BSL. Review the upstream licence files before redistribution.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Budibase?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Budibase project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Budibase project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
