AnonymousOverflow hosting on xCloud gives you a self-hosted Stack Overflow privacy frontend on your own domain, so you read threads in a clean, JavaScript-free page. Deploy AnonymousOverflow from the OneClick catalog and xCloud starts the pinned single container, generates the image-proxy signing secret and publishes it over HTTPS. It keeps no database and no volume, and has no login, so anyone who can reach the domain can use it.
AnonymousOverflow allows you to view Stack Overflow threads without the cluttered interface, and without exposing your IP address, browsing habits and browser fingerprint data to Stack Overflow. Its README says it is lightweight by design, with a simple interface served as server-rendered HTML that needs no JavaScript. Self-hosted AnonymousOverflow is a self-hosted privacy frontend for Stack Overflow: your own server fetches the thread, and visitors never contact Stack Exchange directly. It is licensed under MPL-2.0.
On xCloud this template deploys AnonymousOverflow v1.14.1 as the official image, a single static binary pinned by digest, running read-only as an unprivileged user behind HTTPS. It keeps no database and no volume, only an in-memory request counter. There is no login or administrator, each visitor address is limited to 30 requests a minute, and Stack Exchange sees your server's address.
A self-hosted Stack Overflow viewer normally means a container, a signing secret, a reverse proxy, a domain and a certificate before the first question loads. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick AnonymousOverflow from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official AnonymousOverflow v1.14.1 image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with no database and no volumes, generate the signing secret, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS site URL once the install finishes, paste a Stack Overflow or Stack Exchange question link on the home page and press View. There is no account to create.
AnonymousOverflow runs in full here: a lightweight Stack Overflow and Stack Exchange viewer on your own domain.
The frontend is server-rendered HTML that requires no JavaScript, so questions and answers load without trackers or scripts running in the reader's browser.
Replace the host name of any Stack Overflow question link with your own domain to read the same question through your instance.
Questions are fetched through the Stack Exchange API by default, with an HTML scraper option set through the SCRAPER environment value.
Each visitor address is limited to 30 requests per minute, and DISABLE_RATELIMIT=true turns the limit off.
Set THEME to auto, light or dark; auto follows the visitor's system preference.
There is no database and no volume, so a Restart brings back the same configuration and the same working instance.
Managed hosting for AnonymousOverflow, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A developer pastes a question link, or swaps the domain in it, and reads the question and its answers in a clean page, with images proxied through their own server.
A privacy-minded user sets the LibRedirect browser extension to send Stack Overflow links to their own instance, so every search result opens in the private viewer.
A team lead hosts one instance on a company domain, optionally behind HTTP Basic Authentication in the proxy settings, so colleagues read answers without each browser contacting Stack Exchange.
Someone on a slow or metered connection reads technical threads as a simple HTML page with no scripts, and can disable images with a cookie-remembered setting.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Yes. AnonymousOverflow is open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0, linked from this page at the pinned v1.14.1 tag. xCloud bills for the Cloud VPS under it, not for AnonymousOverflow, and the software adds no per-visitor fee. Stack Overflow's own content keeps its own licence terms.
Yes, and this AnonymousOverflow Docker hosting template does it for you: the official image, built from scratch as a single static binary and pinned by digest, runs as one read-only container with an unprivileged user on your own server, not in an AnonymousOverflow cloud account, behind HTTPS.
The template manifest asks for 128 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 1 GB of disk as a floor, and the app keeps no database or volume, only an in-memory request counter. This page sells the 6 GB tier, which is far above that floor and leaves room for other small apps on the server.
No. Upstream says the UI is simple and the frontend is served as server-rendered HTML requiring no JavaScript. Your server fetches the thread and its images, so the visitor's browser does not contact Stack Exchange directly. A cookie only remembers the visitor's choice to disable images.
Upstream's README says the open-source LibRedirect extension for Firefox and Chromium-based desktop browsers supports redirects to AnonymousOverflow: open its settings, choose Stack Overflow and enter your instance's address. Or replace the domain in any question link with yours, or paste the link on the home page.
No database and no volume: nothing is kept on the server except an in-memory request counter, and a browser cookie remembers the visitor's disable-images choice. So there is no volume to copy and no backup to restore. Keep your environment settings, and the signing secret, in your own notes.
Yes. There are no accounts or administrator, so anyone who can reach the domain can use it, limited to 30 requests per minute per visitor address. Every request makes your server fetch a page from Stack Exchange. To keep it private, put HTTP Basic Authentication in front of the domain in the proxy settings.
Yes, for question links. The template's README says you can paste a Stack Overflow or Stack Exchange link, and a link naming a host makes your server request that host over HTTPS, which is a reason not to expose the instance to people you do not trust. Set an API key to raise the shared quota.
From Stack Exchange, yes: your server's IP address is what Stack Exchange sees, not the visitor's. But this page does not claim anonymity from everyone, because your server and anyone who can read its logs still see the visitor. Datacenter addresses may also be filtered, so /healthz can report 503 while questions still load.
Upgrades are not automatic. The template pins v1.14.1 by immutable digest, and new catalog versions are used by fresh installs only. When a newer template version is published, read the upstream release notes, then adopt that version on your own schedule. There is no data volume to migrate, and the signing secret only invalidates image-proxy links if changed.
No. It is an independent open source project, and no affiliation, partnership or endorsement with Stack Overflow, Stack Exchange or xCloud is claimed. It is read-only: it cannot post, vote or sign in. Its pages may break if Stack Overflow changes its layout, so expect occasional upstream fixes.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
