Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. What is draw.io?

draw.io (also called diagrams.net) is a free, open-source, browser-based diagram editor for flowcharts, software and cloud architecture, UML, entity-relationship diagrams, network maps, wireframes and whiteboards. This template deploys version 31.1.5.

Can I self-host draw.io?

Yes. The project publishes an official Docker image under Apache-2.0. This xCloud template deploys that exact image on your own VPS, pinned to a verified release digest.

Do I need technical skills?

No. There's no terminal, no container config to write and no reverse proxy to set up. You pick a plan, we deploy, and you open the editor.

What are the server requirements?

The template manifest asks for 512 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 2 GB of disk as a floor. This page sells the 6 GB tier, well beyond that, since the editor's real workload runs in the visitor's browser, not on the server.

Is there a login or account?

No. This baseline has no server-side account or password — anyone with the URL can open the editor. If it needs to stay private, enable xCloud Basic Authentication or an IP allowlist before sharing the link.

Where are my diagrams stored?

Wherever you choose when you save — browser storage, a local download, or another destination you configure. The template runs no database and keeps no diagram volume on the server.

What should I back up?

Your .drawio source files, at whatever destination you save them to, ideally with an off-server copy. There's no server-side volume for xCloud to snapshot, since the editor itself doesn't store anything.

Can I run other apps on the same server?

Yes. It's a dedicated Cloud VPS, not a locked appliance, so you can deploy other OneClick apps or your own sites beside it as long as the resources are there.

Does xCloud automatically update draw.io?

No. New installs are pinned to 31.1.5 and a reviewed image digest. Before an intentional update, back up any files you keep and review the upstream release notes.

Is xCloud an official draw.io partner?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and draw.io is claimed. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source draw.io editor.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
