Deploy 4ga Boards hosting and give your team realtime Kanban boards on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned 4ga Boards 3.3.13 image with a private PostgreSQL 18 database, generates the administrator password and session secret, keeps boards, attachments, avatars and backgrounds on persistent volumes and publishes the app over HTTPS in minutes — your boards stay on your server, not in a third-party SaaS.
4ga Boards is an open-source, MIT-licensed board system for realtime project management. Work is organised as projects, boards, lists, cards and tasks, with labels, attachments, an advanced Markdown editor and a built-in dark mode. It is a fork of Planka maintained by RARgames.
On xCloud the app, its PostgreSQL database, card attachments, user avatars and project background images each have their own persistent volume, so a restart does not lose your boards.
A 4ga Boards stack normally means an app container, a PostgreSQL database, a session secret, four volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first card. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick 4ga Boards from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then enter the administrator email — it is the only field.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official 4ga Boards image and a private PostgreSQL 18.6 database kept off the public internet, mount the boards_db, boards_attachments, boards_user_avatars and boards_background_images volumes, generate the admin password, session secret and database password, and publish it over HTTPS.
Step 03
Give the first start a minute or two to run its database migrations, then open your HTTPS 4ga Boards URL and sign in with the admin email (or the username admin) and the generated password. Change that password, then create your team's users from the administration area.
4ga Boards runs in full here: realtime Kanban boards on your own domain, backed by a database you own.
Organise work in a hierarchy of projects, boards, lists, cards and tasks, with labels and attachments on each card.
The web app updates live without reloading the page, so several people can work on the same board at once.
Export boards, or import them — including from Trello — when you create a new board inside a project.
Write card descriptions in an advanced Markdown editor, and switch to the built-in dark mode.
Self-registration is off, so an administrator creates each user from the admin area. The upstream admin/admin and demo/demo defaults were rejected in QA.
PostgreSQL 18.6 has no host ports and is reachable only on the install's internal Docker network.
Managed hosting for 4ga Boards, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Give a team shared boards where every project, list and card is visible to the people you add, with no per-seat SaaS plan.
Hold boards, uploaded attachments and the database on a VPS you control rather than a third-party service.
Add a project, then use Import while creating a new board to bring an existing Trello board across.
Use cards with tasks, labels and attachments, and collapse lists and the sidebar to keep large projects readable.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

No. 4ga Boards is a fork of Planka maintained by RARgames and released under the MIT licence. This template deploys the official 4ga Boards 3.3.13 image.
Use the administrator email you entered during install, or the username admin, with the generated password on the protected credentials page. Then change the password and create other users in the administration area.
A PostgreSQL 18 database container. It is not reachable from outside the server, and the app is the only service exposed through HTTPS.
Not by default. Self-registration stays off unless you enable it in the administration settings; if you do, anyone who can reach the URL can sign up.
No. 4ga Boards has no SMTP support in this template, so email notifications and email verification are not available.
Yes. On every start the app contacts notifications.4gaboards.com with the site URL, the server's public IP and a random instance ID. The template sets the opt-out flag, but that request still happens.
The first start runs the app's database migrations. Wait a minute or two before opening the URL.
All four volumes together — boards_db, boards_attachments, boards_user_avatars and boards_background_images — plus the generated environment values. A pg_dump gives a consistent database copy; keep copies off the server and test a restore.
No. The template pins 4ga Boards 3.3.13 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule, and never run docker compose down -v as part of an upgrade. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
Board imports can be up to 100 MiB. If the site is proxied through Cloudflare, its 100 MB request body limit on Free and Pro plans can block the largest imports.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 147 MiB for the app and database together. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline. Large attachment collections need more disk.
Projects, boards and cards. A card created before a restart of the app and database containers was still there afterwards in QA, because the data lives on persistent named volumes.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the 4ga Boards project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source 4ga Boards project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
