Jitsi Meet hosting on xCloud gives you self-hosted video conferencing on your own domain, with a generated host login so strangers cannot use your bandwidth to start meetings. Deploy Jitsi Meet from the OneClick catalog and xCloud starts the pinned web, prosody, jicofo and videobridge services, publishes the meeting page over HTTPS and keeps the host accounts on a persistent volume. You open the UDP media port in your own firewall.
Jitsi Meet is a set of open-source projects for deploying video conferencing, and self-hosted Jitsi Meet is a self-hosted video conferencing server you run yourself instead of renting seats on a service such as Zoom. Its README lists HD audio and video, content sharing, raise hand and reactions, chat, polls and virtual backgrounds, with mobile apps and browser access. It is released under the Apache 2.0 licence.
On xCloud this template deploys the stable-11248 release as four official images pinned by digest: web, prosody, jicofo and the videobridge. HTTPS is on your domain, and the prosody_data volume holds the host accounts. It is a singleton, one per server, because it owns the media port. Recording, SIP dial-in, Etherpad and the whiteboard are separate components and are not included.
Self-hosting video conferencing normally means four services, a host login, a UDP media port and a domain before a single meeting can start. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick Jitsi Meet from the OneClick catalog, and choose a domain. There are no extra fields — xCloud generates the host credentials.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned Jitsi Meet stable-11248 web, prosody, jicofo and videobridge images, create the host account, and publish the meeting page over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the Host Password shown in the protected installation credentials, open the UDP media port shown on that card in your own firewall, then enter a room name and sign in as the host to share the link with guests.
Jitsi Meet runs in full here — the same browser-based video conferencing as any hosted meeting service, on infrastructure you control.
HD video, screen sharing, chat, raised hands, a lobby and end-to-end encrypted calls, all in the browser.
Guests join from a room link with no account; only the host login can start a room, so strangers can't use your bandwidth to host meetings.
Host private team, client or community meetings on your own server and domain instead of a shared public service.
Web, prosody, jicofo and the video bridge are pre-wired and health-checked, with the meeting page served over xCloud-managed HTTPS.
A wrong password is rejected, and guests only ever join rooms a host has already started.
Host accounts are stored on a persistent volume and survived a container restart in QA.
Managed hosting for Jitsi Meet, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A team opens a room link on its own domain and meets in the browser, with only the host login able to start a room, rather than sharing a public meeting service with everyone.
A consultant or agency sends clients a room link. Guests join from the browser once the host has started the room, with no account to create and nothing to install.
A community organiser hosts regular calls on a server the group controls, with chat, screen sharing and polls, and a lobby to admit people when the room needs it.
An organisation that wants meeting traffic on infrastructure it chose, not a shared service, runs the videobridge on a dedicated Cloud VPS and decides when to upgrade.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes. Jitsi Meet is open source under the Apache 2.0 licence, linked from this page at the pinned stable-11248 tag, and its Docker README calls it free with no account needed. xCloud bills for the Cloud VPS under it, not for Jitsi Meet, and there are no per-participant fees.
Yes, and this Jitsi Meet Docker hosting template does it for you: the official web, prosody, jicofo and jvb images, pinned by digest, run under Docker Compose on your own server rather than a Jitsi Meet cloud service. It is one install per server, because it owns the media port.
The meeting page and signalling use one HTTPS domain, proxied to port 8000. Media travels over one public UDP port, 10000 inside the container and published on an allocated host port shown on the credentials card. xCloud never opens firewall ports, so open that UDP port yourself.
Almost always the UDP media port is closed in your firewall. Without it the page and chat work, but audio and video never reach participants. Open the port shown on the credentials card. Also check JVB_ADVERTISE_IPS if the internet reaches the server on a different address.
It is already required. ENABLE_AUTH is 1 by default, so only the host login can start a room, and guests join once a host has started it. Setting ENABLE_AUTH to 0 lets anyone who opens the site start meetings on your bandwidth, so keep it on unless access is restricted another way.
HOST_USERNAME and HOST_PASSWORD are read only at install, so editing them later does nothing. To add another host, run prosodyctl register on the server inside the prosody container, as the environment notice shows. Guests need no account at all and join from the room link.
Not by default, and none is configured. Without one, participants behind a firewall that blocks UDP cannot send or receive media. If you need it, point TURN_HOST, TURN_PORT, TURN_TRANSPORT and TURN_CREDENTIALS at your own relay in the Environment editor and redeploy.
The template manifest asks for 2 CPU cores, 2048 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk as a floor, enough for small meetings and test installs. The template notes say upstream suggests 4 to 8 GB for regular use with many participants. This page sells the 6 GB tier, and the Java heaps are adjustable.
Upgrades are not automatic. The template pins stable-11248 by immutable digest, and a catalog re-sync affects new installs only. Read the upstream release notes, take a backup of prosody_data, then bump the readable tag and digest together on all four images.
It can be: Jitsi Meet is browser-based video conferencing with chat, screen sharing and a lobby, run on your own server. This page makes no feature-parity claim with Zoom, and recording, dial-in and whiteboard are not part of this template.
Include the prosody_data volume in your backup, because it holds the host accounts, along with your stable .env values. Nothing else needs saving, since meetings are not recorded by this template. Restore the volume before redeploying, and keep the generated internal passwords unchanged.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
