Quick verdict
Choose xCloud if…
- You want WordPress-specific tooling: staging push/pull, blueprints, core and plugin update management, magic login.
- You want the 7G/8G firewall and Fail2Ban configured for you, not assembled by hand.
- You want files and database backed up together as one site, incrementally, and restored in one click from the panel.
- You want bulk site and server migration built into the panel, not a Docker Compose file you write yourself.
- You don't want to also maintain the panel software's own updates and uptime on top of your sites.
- You want team permissions you can scope to particular servers and actions, not three fixed roles.
- You want live chat support, not a public Discord server as the main support channel.
- You want a white-label reseller programme with your own Stripe billing.
- You want managed hosting for AI agents like OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, Paperclip and Buzz, one click away.
- You want a 14-day money-back guarantee on a fully managed plan.

Free Forever, or a Managed Dashboard: Pick a Lane
Both platforms let you connect a server you already pay for. Coolify's own dashboard is free at any scale if you run it yourself; xCloud's free tier covers one server.
1Self-hosted / bring your own server
| What the free route includes | ||
|---|---|---|
| Self-hosted | ||
| What the price covers | Yes. The panel only. First server and ten sites free; then a per-server rate. You keep and pay your own cloud provider directly. | Yes. The dashboard only, and it is free forever, at unlimited scale, as long as you install and maintain it yourself. |
| Root access | Yes. Full root on every server you connect. | Yes. Full root — it is your server either way. |
| Who maintains the panel software | Yes. xCloud's team. You never patch the panel itself. | Limited. You do. Self-hosting Coolify means keeping Coolify itself updated and running. |
| Sites and servers | Yes. Unlimited sites once you are past the free tier's ten. | Yes. Unlimited servers and deployments, no cap at any tier. |
2Managed dashboard
| What the paid dashboard includes | ||
|---|---|---|
| Managed dashboard | ||
| What the price covers | Yes. The panel and the server, one bill. xCloud provisions and manages the infrastructure for you. | No. Nothing equivalent. Coolify Cloud manages the dashboard only; the servers you connect are still billed by your own cloud provider. |
| Fully managed plan (xCloud provisions the server too) | Yes. Yes — pick a plan and the server is included. | No. Not offered at any tier. |
| Dashboard fee, per server connected | Limited. $5/server at 2–5 servers, $4 at 6–10, dropping to $3/server at 11+. | Limited. $5/mo covers up to 2 servers, then $3/mo per additional server — cheaper per server than xCloud past 2. |
| Money-back guarantee | Yes. 14 days, cancel any time. | Limited. Not published. Self-hosting instead has nothing to refund. |

Docker, Git Push, and What Each One Actually Runs
Coolify's whole product is deploying Dockerised apps from Git. xCloud does that too, alongside a WordPress-specific control panel Coolify does not have.
| Deployment and stack | ||
|---|---|---|
| Deployment | ||
| Deploy from a Git push | Yes. Auto-deploy on push, with branch selection and rollback. | Yes. Auto-deploy on push, its core pitch. |
| Pull-request preview deployments | Limited. Not published as a general PR-preview feature. | Yes. Spins up a temporary environment per pull request. |
| Auto-detects the app stack on deploy | Yes. Stack auto-detection on one-click Git deployment. | Yes. Nixpacks-based auto-detection, with Railpack now offered as its successor. |
| Runs arbitrary Docker Compose applications | Yes. Yes, alongside WordPress and the one-click app library. | Yes. Yes — this is the product. If Docker can package it, Coolify can run it. |
| Node.js, Python, Ruby, Go and other non-PHP app hosting | Yes. Node.js, Laravel and Next.js, with queue workers. | Yes. Any language or framework Docker can package. |
| Web server | NGINX and OpenLiteSpeed, tuned for WordPress. | Traefik by default, or Caddy, as a reverse proxy in front of your containers. |
| Browser SSH terminal and command runner | Yes. A shell into the actual server, from the panel. | Yes. Real-time browser-based terminal access to the server. |
Support, Teams and What It Costs on Top
Both platforms answer through a public channel. Live chat, role-based teams and white-labelling are where they part ways.
| Team, support and business model | ||
|---|---|---|
| Getting hold of someone | ||
| Team accounts | Yes. Included on every plan. | Yes. Included, free and paid tiers alike. |
| Role-based / granular team permissions | Yes. Scopable to particular servers and actions, and included, not a separate tier. | Limited. Three fixed roles — Owner, Admin, Member — where Member is read-only. Not scopable per server or action. |
| Live chat support | Yes. On every plan. | No. Not offered. |
| Community support (forum / Discord) | Yes. A public Discord and documentation, alongside live chat. | Yes. A public Discord and GitHub — the main support channel on the free route. |
| Email support | Yes. Included. | Cloud plan only, described by Coolify itself as limited. |
| White-label reseller programme with your own billing | Yes. A dedicated program, your own Stripe billing. | No. Not offered. |
Databases and Caching, Side by Side
Coolify ships a wider database catalogue than xCloud. Neither platform is benchmarked here.
| Databases and caching | ||
|---|---|---|
| Data layer | ||
| Database engines | Yes. MySQL/MariaDB, managed for WordPress, plus external database support. | Yes. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, Redis, DragonFly, KeyDB and ClickHouse, one click each. |
| One-click database provisioning | Yes. One click, for the WordPress-managed MySQL/MariaDB database. | Yes. One click, across any of the eight supported engines. |
| External / remote database support | Yes. Connect an external database as a data source. | Yes. Connect an external database as a data source. |
| Redis / object caching | Yes. Redis object caching, managed from the panel. | Yes. Redis is one of the one-click database templates. |
Moving a WordPress Site Between xCloud and Coolify
Coolify has no WordPress-aware export, because it has no concept of a WordPress site — only a container and a database. Migration here is a manual step on both sides.
Moving a WordPress site onto xCloud
xCloud- Yes. Bulk site and server migration, included on every plan
- Yes. A feature of the panel — point it at the source and go
- Yes. cPanel migration path for sites hosted elsewhere
Coolify- Limited. No built-in migration tool — take a database backup and a storage-mount archive, then reassemble the site by hand
- Limited. Then import through xCloud's WordPress migration tooling on the way in
What it costs
xCloud- Yes. Nothing. No migration fee, on either route
- Yes. Unlimited number of sites migrated
Coolify- Yes. Nothing to pay Coolify — it never charges for moving a site
- Limited. The manual export/import work is the real cost, in time rather than money
What moves cleanly
xCloud- Yes. Files and database together, in one pass, in bulk
- Yes. Migrate Guru, a free WordPress plugin documented as compatible with xCloud
Coolify- Yes. Any Dockerised app, since Coolify does not care what is inside the container
- Limited. A WordPress site specifically needs its files and database reassembled by hand — there is no WordPress-aware export
Before you start
xCloud- Limited. Disable 2FA and Cloudflare Bot Fight Mode on the source site first
- Yes. Then migrate, test while DNS still points at your old host, and cut over
Coolify- Limited. If moving away from Coolify: take a fresh database dump and copy the app's persistent volumes before you decommission the container
Firewalls, Backups and What You Can Restore
Both cover the baseline: free SSL, WordPress-side vulnerability scanning. Backups are where they diverge, and only one side does incremental site backups.
| Security and backups | ||
|---|---|---|
| Protection and recovery | ||
| 7G / 8G firewall rule sets | Yes. Both rule sets, managed from the panel. | No. Not published. Server-level firewalling is left to you. |
| Fail2Ban integration | Yes. Included, blocking brute-force login attempts automatically. | Limited. Not published. No built-in intrusion-prevention product. |
| Automatic free Let's Encrypt SSL | Yes. Every site, automatically. | Yes. Every app, automatically, through the Traefik-based proxy. |
| Vulnerability scanning | Limited. A $2/site add-on. | Limited. Not published. |
| WordPress core-file integrity monitor | Yes. Verifies WordPress core files against checksums. | No. Not applicable — Coolify has no concept of WordPress core files to verify. |
| Full-site backup (files and database together) | Yes. One backup covers the whole site, files and database, and restores as one. | Limited. Both are covered, but as two separate schedules — volume/mount backups and database backups are set up and run apart. |
| Incremental site backup | Yes. Yes. Restore granularity without a full copy each time. | No. No — storage archives are full .tar.gz copies on every run. |
| Scheduled automated database backups | Yes. Included, alongside full-site backups. | Yes. Scheduled dumps to S3-compatible storage. Redis, DragonFly and KeyDB are excluded from this. |
| Backup restore | Yes. One click, from the panel, for the whole site. | Limited. Databases restore from the dashboard; storage archives download only, and are restored by hand. |
What Happens After WordPress Is Installed
Coolify installs WordPress in one click, same as xCloud. The difference is everything that happens next: updates, staging, backups scoped to a site.
| WordPress management | ||
|---|---|---|
| Day-to-day WordPress work | ||
| WordPress install | Yes. One click, as a managed, WordPress-aware site. | Limited. One click, as a generic Docker Compose template. Nothing about it is WordPress-aware afterward. |
| Theme, plugin and core update manager | Yes. Managed from the panel, across every site. | No. Not offered. Updates happen inside the container, by hand. |
| One-click staging | Yes. One click, on the same server or another. | No. Not WordPress-aware. Pull-request previews exist for code, not for a WordPress site's content and database. |
| Staging with push/pull | Yes. Promote a tested change rather than redoing it by hand. | No. Not offered. |
| Blueprints — reusable site templates | Yes. Save a site setup and stamp it out repeatedly. | No. Not offered. A Docker Compose file is the closest equivalent, written by hand. |
| 1-click magic login to wp-admin | Yes. Into any site's admin, from the panel. | No. Not offered. |
| WordPress Multisite support | Yes. Sub-domain and sub-folder, supported. | Limited. Not published as a supported configuration. |
Refunds, Add-Ons and the Bill You Did Not Expect
What the price does after the first month, and what is not in it. Two boxes below: what each side charges extra for, and what stays free.
Refunds and cancellation
xCloud- Yes. 14-day money-back guarantee
- Yes. Cancel any time, no lock-in contract
Coolify- Yes. Self-hosted route: free forever, nothing to refund
- Limited. Coolify Cloud's refund terms are not published — confirm on their own site
What costs extra
xCloud- Limited. Vulnerability scanning: a $2/site add-on
- Yes. Migration, team roles and white-labelling: included, not add-ons
- Limited. Your cloud provider's own bill, on the bring-your-own-server route. That line is not ours
Coolify- Limited. Self-hosting Coolify's own updates and uptime is on you — not a fee, but a real cost
- Limited. Coolify Cloud's per-server fee scales with servers connected
- No. No white-label or reseller product at any tier

What people say about hosting WordPress on xCloud
In their own words, unedited.
xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

xCloud vs Coolify: Frequently Asked Questions
Direct answers to what people ask before choosing between xCloud and Coolify.
What is the difference between xCloud and Coolify?
Coolify is a general Docker deployment platform; xCloud is a WordPress-specific hosting control panel.
Coolify lets you self-host almost anything Docker can package, including WordPress as one generic template among 280+. xCloud is built around WordPress specifically: it knows what a site is, so it can offer staging push/pull, core and plugin updates, incremental backups and bulk migration that a general platform has no reason to build.
Is Coolify free?
Yes, self-hosted Coolify is free forever, at any scale.
You install and run Coolify yourself, on your own server, with no limit on servers, sites or team members. Coolify Cloud, a managed hosted dashboard, is the paid option: $5/month for 2 connected servers plus $3/month per additional server.
Is xCloud cheaper than Coolify?
It depends on the route: Coolify's self-hosted dashboard is cheaper (free, always); xCloud's free tier is cheaper for a single server; Coolify Cloud is cheaper per server past two.
xCloud is free for one server and ten sites, then $5/server at 2–5 servers, $4/server at 6–10 and $3/server at 11 or more. Coolify Cloud starts at $5/month, which covers up to two servers, then $3/month per additional server — cheaper than xCloud's ladder at most server counts. Coolify's self-hosted route beats both, at $0 regardless of scale, if you are willing to maintain the dashboard yourself.
Does Coolify support WordPress?
Yes, as a one-click Docker Compose template, not as a managed product.
Coolify can deploy WordPress in one click from its service catalogue, but nothing about the platform is WordPress-aware afterward: no core, theme or plugin update manager, no WordPress-specific staging, no magic login, no 7G/8G firewall rules.
Which is better for WordPress?
xCloud, for any WordPress-specific need. Coolify, if WordPress is one app among several you run.
xCloud automates the WordPress-specific work: updates, staging, backups scoped to a site, and migration. Coolify treats a WordPress install the same as any other Docker container, which is a real advantage if you are also running non-WordPress apps on the same platform, and a real gap if WordPress is the whole job.
Does Coolify have staging environments?
Not a WordPress-aware one. Coolify supports pull-request preview deployments for a general app pipeline instead.
That is a different feature: a PR preview spins up a temporary environment for a code change. It is not the same as xCloud's one-click WordPress staging with push/pull between staging and production.
Can I use my own VPS with Coolify or xCloud?
Yes, with both. Neither product sells its own servers as the only option.
Both connect to any server you already pay for, on Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, GCP or elsewhere, over SSH, with root access. xCloud also offers a fully managed plan that bundles the server; self-hosted Coolify and its Cloud tier always require you to bring your own.
Does Coolify offer team permissions?
Yes — three fixed roles: Owner, Admin and Member, with Member being read-only.
Coolify's roles are tiers rather than scopes: an Admin can operate every resource and manage servers and credentials, and a Member can inspect but not deploy. What you cannot do is scope someone to a subset of servers or actions — grant deployment rights without credential access, for example. xCloud's team roles are granular in that sense, and included on every plan.
Can I migrate from Coolify to xCloud?
Yes, though it is a manual move rather than a one-click transfer, since the two platforms structure sites differently.
A WordPress site deployed on Coolify is a Docker container with a database attached; moving it means exporting the files and database and importing them through xCloud's WordPress migration tooling. There is no automated Coolify-specific import.
Does Coolify have a firewall or other security features?
Coolify manages SSL certificates and routing; it does not publish WordPress-specific firewall rule sets.
Coolify automates Let's Encrypt SSL through its Traefik-based routing. It does not publish anything equivalent to xCloud's 7G/8G firewall rule sets, Fail2Ban integration or WordPress core-file integrity monitoring, because those are WordPress-specific protections and Coolify is not a WordPress product.
