Deploy Cube hosting and run a self-hosted semantic layer that serves one set of metrics to every app, dashboard and AI agent from your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Cube Core v1.6.39 image with a private PostgreSQL 17 data source and a Cube Store sidecar, generates the API secret, mounts persistent volumes and publishes the REST and GraphQL API over HTTPS in minutes — with an example cube ready so your first query works straight away.
Cube Core is an open-source, self-hosted semantic layer and headless BI API, so self-hosted Cube sits between your data sources and everything that asks questions of them. It defines metrics, dimensions and business logic in one place so the same numbers come back everywhere. Its README says it can power embedded analytics in your applications, your own business intelligence tool or context for AI agents, with REST, GraphQL and a Postgres-compatible SQL API.
On xCloud this template deploys Cube Core v1.6.39 with a Cube Store sidecar and a bundled PostgreSQL 17 data source, all pinned by digest. The cubejs_conf, cubejs_db and cubejs_store volumes hold your data model, database and Cube Store data, and the API is served over HTTPS on your domain. It is API-only: there is no dashboard, login page or developer Playground.
A Cube stack normally means the Cube server, a Cube Store, a data source, an API secret, volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first query. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Cube (Cube Core) from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up Cube Core, a Cube Store sidecar and PostgreSQL 17 — all pinned by immutable digest, with the database and Cube Store kept off the public internet — mount the cubejs_conf, cubejs_db and cubejs_store volumes, generate the API secret and SQL API password, and publish the API over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Copy the API secret from the installation credentials, sign an HS256 JWT with it and call the REST API at your HTTPS URL. Query the example cube that is created on first boot, then add your own data model files.
Cube Core runs in full here as a headless API: your metrics are defined once and served over three interfaces, from a server you control.
Define metrics, dimensions and business logic once in a data model, then reuse them across BI tools, embedded analytics and AI agents.
Query the same data model over REST and GraphQL on your HTTPS domain, or through the Postgres-compatible SQL API on its own TCP port.
Every data request needs an HS256 JWT signed with the generated API secret; requests without a valid token are rejected.
A private PostgreSQL 17 database is included and wired up. Point Cube at your own warehouse later by editing the CUBEJS_DB_* settings in the Environment editor.
A Cube Store sidecar runs alongside the server, so production mode can serve queries and pre-aggregations can be built once you enable the refresh worker.
A one-cube example model with five sample rows, grouped by plan, is created on first boot so you can test a query before writing your own data model.
Managed hosting for Cube, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A product team serves charts and numbers to its own users from a token-protected API, with metric definitions kept in one data model instead of scattered across front-end code.
An analytics team writes revenue, active users or any other measure once, and every tool that connects to the API gets the same answer instead of re-deriving it in each report.
A team building agents gives them a governed, queryable description of its data through the same APIs, rather than letting the agents guess at raw tables and joins.
A developer builds a custom analytics interface on the REST or GraphQL API, or connects SQL clients through the Postgres-compatible SQL API, with no vendor dashboard in the way.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Cube is used to define metrics and dimensions once, in a semantic layer, and serve them to many consumers: embedded analytics in your product, BI tools, your own custom front end and AI agents. This template exposes it as an API on your domain, with no dashboard of its own.
Yes. Cube Core is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence, linked from this page at the pinned v1.6.39 tag. The xCloud bill covers the dedicated Cloud VPS beneath it, separate from the licence, and Cube Core adds no per-query charge.
Yes, and this Cube Docker hosting template does it for you: the official Cube Core, Cube Store and PostgreSQL images, all pinned by digest, run under Docker Compose on your Cloud VPS with three named volumes, an HTTPS domain and a generated API secret.
REST and GraphQL on your HTTPS domain, plus a Postgres-compatible SQL API. REST and GraphQL need an HS256 JWT signed with your API secret. The SQL API uses a separate TCP port with a user and password, and that port is public, so restrict it to your SQL clients.
No. Cube Core is headless, and this template runs it as an API only: there is no login page, no dashboard and no developer Playground. Query it with a signed token from curl, your own application or a SQL client, and use a separate BI tool for charts.
Upstream says Cube Core was designed to work with all SQL data sources, including Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Presto, Amazon Athena and Postgres. This template starts with a bundled PostgreSQL 17; to use another source, edit the CUBEJS_DB_* settings in the Environment editor and redeploy.
Cube's manifest floor is 512 MB of RAM, one CPU core and 5 GB of disk across Cube, Cube Store and PostgreSQL; idle use in QA was about 166 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier, which leaves ample headroom as your data model and query load grow.
Cube Core is the open-source semantic layer this template deploys on your own server. Upstream's README separately describes Cube as a fully integrated BI platform built on Cube Core, with managed infrastructure. This page covers only Cube Core and implies no affiliation with that product.
No, and this template does not. Upstream's quick start uses CUBEJS_DEV_MODE=true locally, but here development mode stays off and the image runs in production mode, so the Playground is disabled and every REST request needs a valid token. Only the health endpoints answer without one.
Include the three named volumes together in one backup: cubejs_conf (your data model and config), cubejs_db (the bundled PostgreSQL data) and cubejs_store (Cube Store data, rebuildable from your source), plus the stable .env values. Keep the generated credentials private and test a restore.
Upgrades are not automatic. The template pins Cube Core v1.6.39 and its sidecars by immutable digest, and existing sites keep them. Back up all volumes first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the image tags and digests together on your own schedule.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
