Deploy Liwan hosting and run a self-hosted web analytics tool that is lightweight, privacy-friendly and sets no cookies for your visitors and needs no external database. xCloud starts the pinned official image as one self-contained process with embedded databases, creates the admin account with a generated password and serves the dashboard over HTTPS on your domain. Add a project, copy its tracking snippet into your site, and watch page views arrive.
Liwan is a lightweight, privacy-friendly web analytics tool, released under the Apache-2.0 licence. It runs as one self-contained process with embedded databases, sets no cookies for visitors and needs no external database. A self-hosted Liwan is an alternative to a hosted analytics service such as Google Analytics for site owners who want visitor counts on their own server, with upstream-listed single sign-on available if you configure it.
On xCloud the template runs the official ghcr.io/explodingcamera/liwan 1.7.0 image, pinned by digest, with one volume, liwan_data, holding a SQLite file for users, projects and settings and a DuckDB file for page views. A tiny busybox container beside it probes health and holds no data. The tracker script and event endpoint are public by design; the dashboard needs a login.
Self-hosting analytics normally means a container, a volume, a generated login, a domain and a certificate before the first page view is counted. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Liwan from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Liwan image, pinned by immutable digest, with a small health-check sidecar that holds no data, mount the liwan_data volume, generate the admin password, and publish the dashboard over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS Liwan URL and sign in as admin with the generated password from the installation credentials. Add a project, then copy its tracking snippet into the website you want to measure.
Liwan runs in full here: privacy-friendly analytics for your own websites, with the data stored on a volume you own.
Liwan sets no tracking cookies and does no cross-site tracking, so your analytics data stays on your server.
See your most-visited pages, where visitors come from and how traffic changes over time, with bot filtering on by default.
The dashboard and databases are built in, so there is no separate database service to run or patch.
Add a small script to your site with a single line of HTML. It works with any framework or CMS.
Choose what data to collect and how long to keep it. Location detail is adjustable, and campaign attribution and session metrics can be disabled independently.
Reports sit behind a login with no open registration. Only the tracker script and event endpoint are public, so visitors' browsers can report page views.
Managed hosting for Liwan, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Measure page views on your sites without setting cookies for your visitors.
Keep everything in embedded databases on one volume, with nothing extra to patch.
Create a project per website and paste each tracking snippet into its pages.
Store events in a file you back up yourself instead of a third-party analytics provider.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Yes. For Liwan Docker hosting the template runs the official ghcr.io/explodingcamera/liwan 1.7.0 image, pinned by digest, as one process with embedded databases. A small busybox container probes health, since the upstream image has no shell, and xCloud's nginx publishes the dashboard and tracker over HTTPS.
Liwan is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence, so the analytics tool has no licence fee. xCloud bills the Cloud VPS and the deployment separately from any extras. Optional GeoIP downloads need a MaxMind account, which is billed or licensed by MaxMind rather than by Liwan or xCloud.
The manifest asks for 128 MB of RAM. The analytics engine's memory is capped at 512 MB by default through LIWAN_DUCKDB_MEMORY_LIMIT, which you can raise on a larger server. The 6 GB plan sold here is far more than needed and leaves room for big report queries.
Open your HTTPS address and sign in as admin with the password on your credentials card, created once at install. Liwan has no default account and no open registration; an admin adds other users in the dashboard settings. Change the password inside Liwan, because editing ADMIN_PASSWORD later does nothing.
Liwan sets no cookies for visitors, according to its description, and runs without an external database. The dashboard session cookie is separate and for admins only. Outbound requests it can make include DuckDuckGo favicon lookups and a clock check against pool.ntp.org, which you can disable.
Back up the liwan_data volume, which holds liwan-app.sqlite (users, projects, settings) and liwan-events.duckdb (page views) plus WAL files. Stop the container before copying so the files are consistent, keep copies off-server, and test a restore on a disposable install.
Version 1.7.0 is fixed by digest, so a catalog update reaches new installs only. Back up liwan_data, review the upstream changelog, then adopt a newer template version. Afterwards test sign-in, that events still arrive, and that data survives a restart.
Tracking snippets contain the dashboard address, so after a domain change you must update the snippet on every website you track. LIWAN_BASE_URL follows the site address automatically and should not be edited. The tracker script and event endpoint must stay reachable without Basic Auth.
Yes. Liwan cloud use gives the analytics dashboard a dedicated Cloud VPS with your domain and certificate, ready in under a minute. A server rented elsewhere can be enrolled as self-managed instead and run the same template.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
