Apache Superset hosting here means a working BI server without assembling one. It is a self-hosted business intelligence platform: connect your SQL databases, build charts and share dashboards from your own domain. Deploy Apache Superset 6.1.0 from the image the project publishes, next to a private Postgres 17 metadata database. xCloud provisions HTTPS, generates the administrator password and the secret key, and mounts persistent volumes, so the first sign-in happens minutes after you pick a domain.
Self-hosted Apache Superset is a business intelligence platform for exploring data and building dashboards. Its README describes a no-code chart builder, a web-based SQL editor (SQL Lab), a lightweight semantic layer for custom dimensions and metrics, a caching layer and security roles, and says it can replace or augment proprietary business intelligence tools, which makes it an option for teams that would otherwise license a product such as Tableau. It queries any SQL datastore with a Python DB-API driver and a SQLAlchemy dialect, and is licensed under Apache 2.0.
On xCloud the template runs the apache/superset 6.1.0 image beside a private Postgres 17 metadata database with no published port. The superset_db and superset_home volumes persist your users, charts, dashboards and saved connections. xCloud publishes HTTPS on your domain and generates the admin password. There is no Celery worker or Redis, so async SQL Lab, scheduled reports, alerts and thumbnails are not available.
Self-hosting Apache Superset normally means a metadata database, a domain, a certificate and an administrator account before a single chart gets built. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick Apache Superset from the OneClick catalog, choose a domain, and enter the administrator email.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Apache Superset 6.1.0 image alongside a private Postgres 17 metadata database, run first-boot migrations and role setup (about 3-6 minutes), and publish Superset over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the generated administrator password from your installation credentials, sign in as admin, then add your first data source under Settings, Database Connections, and open SQL Lab or create a chart.
Apache Superset runs in full here — SQL exploration, charts and dashboards, on infrastructure you control.
Connect your SQL databases and query them directly in SQL Lab.
Assemble charts into dashboards your team can share, backed by the connections you configure.
Deployed from the image published by the Apache Superset project itself at 6.1.0, pinned by immutable digest.
A bundled Postgres 17 database holds metadata instead of SQLite, kept private to your install with no host ports.
A generated administrator account and a generated secret key are created for you; public sign-up is disabled.
Users, charts, dashboards and saved database connections survive an xCloud Restart, verified in QA.
Managed hosting for Apache Superset, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Connect a database, then let analysts write and run queries in SQL Lab instead of passing around connection strings. Because an administrator can query every connected database, add read-only database users for the connections you share.
Product and ops teams can pick a dataset in the no-code chart builder, choose a visualization and arrange the charts into a dashboard for colleagues to open, with no query written by hand.
Set custom dimensions and metrics once in Superset's lightweight semantic layer, so every chart in a dashboard counts revenue or signups the same way instead of repeating SQL in each chart.
Charts, dashboards, users and saved connection settings live in a Postgres 17 database on your own Cloud VPS, so the BI layer on top of your data stays under your control rather than in a vendor account.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

The template manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk as a floor. This page sells the 6 GB Cloud VPS, which leaves headroom for Superset, its Postgres 17 metadata database and the queries your dashboards run. Heavier dashboards or many users raise the real need.
Yes. Superset is open source under the Apache License 2.0, per the LICENSE file at the 6.1.0 tag, so there is no licence fee for the software. What you pay xCloud for is the Cloud VPS it runs on; the application and its data are yours.
Yes, and this is Apache Superset Docker hosting without writing the compose file. The template runs the apache/superset 6.1.0 image and a Postgres 17 container with Docker Compose, pinned by immutable digest, with the superset_home and superset_db volumes.
Upgrades are deliberate. The image is pinned by immutable digest, so nothing updates the app on its own. Back up superset_db first and skim the upstream release notes for 6.1.0 onwards; the image tag and digest are then bumped together on a redeploy.
Per its README, Superset can query any SQL datastore or engine with a Python DB-API driver and a SQLAlchemy dialect, such as Presto, Trino or Athena. This image is the build that bundles the Postgres driver, so check upstream's database docs for any other engine's driver before relying on it.
Its README says Superset can replace or augment proprietary business intelligence tools, and it offers a no-code chart builder, SQL Lab and shareable dashboards. Judge it on whether your charts and SQL sources fit; remember this template has no scheduled reports or alerts.
Not in this install. Scheduled reports, alerts, async SQL Lab queries and thumbnails need a separate Celery worker and Redis, and this template runs only the web app and its Postgres metadata database. Dashboards, charts and interactive SQL Lab queries work as normal.
Public sign-up is off and only the generated admin can create accounts, but anyone signed in as administrator can run SQL against every connected database, so give connections read-only database users. Never change SUPERSET_SECRET_KEY after setup: saved connection passwords become unreadable.
Back up superset_db (the Postgres metadata: users, charts, dashboards, saved connections) and superset_home (Superset's home and cache directory), with the install stopped, or take a pg_dump of the metadata database. Keep SUPERSET_SECRET_KEY with the backup, because the saved connections cannot be read without it.
It is your own Superset on a dedicated Cloud VPS that xCloud provisions and runs, with HTTPS on your domain. It is not a shared multi-tenant service: the admin account, metadata database and volumes belong to your install, and you own the application and its data.
This one runs the image published by the Apache Superset project with a Postgres metadata database (catalogue slug apache-superset). A separate, earlier template (slug superset) packages a community image with Postgres and Redis. They are two distinct entries in the catalogue.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
