Eonvelope hosting gives you a private, searchable archive of your email on a server you control. Deploy Eonvelope 0.8.0 as a self-hosted email archive: xCloud runs the pinned image with a private MariaDB 11.4.8 database and a Caddy router, generates the administrator password, mounts persistent volumes and publishes the web app over HTTPS in minutes. You then add your mailboxes in the app.
Self-hosted Eonvelope is an open-source email archive built to preserve your emails for an indefinite long period of time. Its README lists automatic and continuous email fetching over IMAP, POP, Exchange and JMAP, import and export of emails in various formats, identification of related emails, filtering and searching of archived mail, attachments and correspondents, a mobile-friendly web app and a full API. It stands in for a hosted email archiving service, under the AGPL-3.0 licence.
With xCloud, the template runs the dacid99/eonvelope 0.8.0 image, a private MariaDB 11.4.8 database and a Caddy router, all pinned by immutable digest, with eonvelope_archive, eonvelope_logs and eonvelope_db volumes. HTTPS is published on your domain, and the administrator is created on first start. Self-registration is off, and no mailbox is connected until you add one.
Self-hosting an email archive normally means wiring up a database, a router and a mail-fetch schedule before the first message is indexed. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Eonvelope from the OneClick catalog, then choose a domain. There are no extra fields — xCloud generates the credentials for you.
Step 02
One click. We provision the server, bring up the pinned Eonvelope image alongside MariaDB and a Caddy router, publish it over HTTPS on your domain, and wait for the first migrations to finish.
Step 03
Save the generated admin password from your protected installation credentials, sign in as admin, and add your first mailbox or upload an eml or mbox file to run a fetch.
Eonvelope runs in full here — your mail archive, your search index and your attachments sit on infrastructure you control.
Pull mail in from IMAP, POP3, Exchange and JMAP accounts into one archive, instead of leaving it scattered across providers.
Upload eml and mbox files up to 2 GB through the site proxy to bring an existing mailbox export straight into the archive.
Filter archived emails, attachments and correspondents from the browser, instead of digging through a mail client's own search.
Self-registration is off. Only users the administrator creates can sign in, and the API returns 403 when unauthenticated.
Archived mail, the MariaDB database and application logs each live on their own persistent volume that survives a restart.
MariaDB stays on the internal network with no host ports, and a Caddy router in front of the app blocks the unauthenticated /metrics path.
Managed hosting for Eonvelope, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Collect mail from IMAP, POP3, Exchange and JMAP accounts into an archive that stays on your server, whatever happens to the original mailbox.
Upload eml and mbox files, up to 2 GB through the site proxy, to load an old mailbox into the archive in one go.
Filter and search archived emails, attachments and correspondents from the browser, instead of scrolling a mail client.
Self-registration is off, so only users the administrator creates can sign in to the archive and the mail inside it.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

The manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 2048 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk, and QA measured about 1.2 GiB idle. The 6 GB Cloud VPS sold on this page sits comfortably above that, and the disk grows with the archive.
Yes. Eonvelope is AGPL-3.0 licensed, per the LICENSE file at the 0.8.0 tag, so no licence is bought separately, and the dedicated Cloud VPS is the one xCloud charge, while your archived mail stays on your own volumes.
Yes. Eonvelope Docker hosting is delivered ready to use: the template runs the upstream dacid99/eonvelope 0.8.0 image with MariaDB 11.4.8 and a Caddy router, all pinned by immutable digest, and the web app is reachable over HTTPS, so it is Eonvelope cloud hosting on your own VPS.
Both are self-hosted email archives. Eonvelope's README stresses automatic fetching over IMAP, POP, Exchange and JMAP with a web app and API, on MariaDB. Open Archiver has its own xCloud page, so compare them against the sources you need.
Use the admin username and the generated password from the installation credentials. That password only creates the account on first start, so change it inside Eonvelope afterwards. Self-registration is off, and the first start can take two to four minutes.
Per the README, IMAP, POP, Exchange and JMAP, with automatic and continuous fetching once a mailbox is added. Nothing is connected out of the box, so add each mailbox in the app and test one fetch before you rely on the archive.
Yes. Uploads up to 2 GB are allowed through the site proxy, so an existing eml or mbox export can be brought in directly. Larger exports can be split into several files, and the disk needs room for the archive plus its database.
Not by default. Optional Basic Auth at your own access layer is a user-configured extra that this template does not enable. The unauthenticated /metrics path is blocked at the site's internal router, and mail is reachable only after sign-in.
The eonvelope_archive, eonvelope_db and eonvelope_logs volumes together, because mail files live on disk and metadata in the database, so both are needed to restore. Keep SECRET_KEY stable, copy the volumes off the server, and test a restore.
Nothing upgrades it for you: the install stays on pinned release 0.8.0 until you adopt a newer template version. Back up all three volumes first, read the upstream release notes, then check sign-in and a search afterwards.
There is no third party holding your archive: mail contents and the credentials of connected mailboxes sit on your own server and are reachable by whoever holds a login. Keep the administrator password private, and only create accounts for people you trust.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
