KeeWeb Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy KeeWeb hosting and open your KeePass databases from your own HTTPS domain, in any browser. xCloud runs the pinned KeeWeb 1.18.7 image as a single static-file container behind HTTPS in minutes — your databases are handled in the browser, so nothing about your vault is stored on the server.

What is KeeWeb?

KeeWeb is a browser-based password manager that opens and edits KeePass (.kdbx) databases. It is compatible with the KeePass format, so the same vault stays portable across other KeePass clients. It is licensed under MIT.

This template runs KeeWeb as a single container that only serves the static application through nginx. There is no account system and no server-side database: each .kdbx database is unlocked with its own master password, in the browser.

From Sign-Up to a Live KeeWeb In Just 3 Easy Steps

A KeeWeb setup normally means a container, a domain and a certificate before you can open a vault. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick KeeWeb from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the single KeeWeb container, pinned by immutable digest, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain. There is no database, no generated credentials and no volume to manage — the server only delivers the static application.

  3. Step 03

    Open Or Create A Database

Open your HTTPS KeeWeb URL, then open an existing .kdbx file or create a new database and add your first entry. Unlock each database with its own master password.

Everything KeeWeb Does, On Your Own Domain

KeeWeb runs in full here: a browser-based KeePass manager served from your own HTTPS address.

  • Open Or Create .kdbx Databases

Open an existing KeePass database or create a new one directly in the browser, then add and edit entries.

  • KeePass-Compatible

KeeWeb reads and writes KeePass .kdbx databases, so your vaults stay portable across other KeePass clients.

  • You Choose Where Vaults Live

Databases are handled in the browser, not stored on the server; keep them in a local file or a connected storage service such as WebDAV or Dropbox.

  • A Master Password Per Database

There are no accounts or server-side login; each database is protected by its own master password.

  • Tiny Footprint

A static app served by nginx: the template asks for 64 MB of RAM and measured idle use in QA was about 6 MiB.

  • Restart Without Loss

Nothing is stored on the server, so an xCloud Restart loses nothing and the app comes back healthy and serving.

Everything You Need To Run Your Password Manager 24/7

Managed hosting for KeeWeb, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • KeeWeb 1.18.7 deployed instantly
  • Image pinned by immutable digest
  • No database or credentials to manage
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With KeeWeb

  • Reach your KeePass vault from any browser

Open your existing .kdbx file on a machine where you cannot or do not want to install a desktop KeePass client.

  • Start a new vault without installing anything

Create a new database directly in the browser and add your first entries, then save it wherever you keep your databases.

  • A shared, branded entry point for a KeePass team

Give a team one HTTPS address on your own domain for loading the app, and restrict who can reach it with xCloud Basic Authentication or IP Management.

  • Keep vaults portable

Because KeeWeb reads and writes standard KeePass databases, you are not locked in: the same file opens in other KeePass-compatible apps.

KeeWeb vs Alternatives

Vaultwarden
A self-hosted server with accounts and sync for the Bitwarden ecosystem; KeeWeb has no server-side accounts and works on KeePass .kdbx files instead.
KeePass and other desktop clients
Desktop KeePass clients need installing on every machine; KeeWeb opens the same .kdbx format in a browser from your own domain.
Bitwarden and 1Password (SaaS)
Hosted password managers keep your vault in the vendor's service; with KeeWeb you choose where the database lives, such as a local file or a connected storage service.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo Villa
Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Does KeeWeb store my passwords on the server?

No. Databases are handled in the browser; the server only serves the application files.

How do I sign in?

There is no account. You open a .kdbx file and unlock it with its master password.

Is it compatible with other KeePass apps?

Yes, it reads and writes KeePass .kdbx databases.

What runs alongside KeeWeb?

Nothing. It is a single static-file container with no database.

Is the site public by default?

Yes. KeeWeb has no built-in authentication, so anyone who can reach the site can load the app, though not your databases. Restrict access with xCloud Basic Authentication or IP Management if needed.

Where do my databases live?

You choose: a local file or a connected storage service such as WebDAV or Dropbox. They are not stored on the xCloud server.

What should I back up?

Your .kdbx files, wherever you keep them. The server holds no data, so there is nothing on it to back up.

What survives a restart?

Everything that matters: the server stores nothing, so an xCloud Restart loses nothing and the app comes back healthy and serving, as checked in QA.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update KeeWeb?

No. The template pins KeeWeb 1.18.7 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 64 MB of RAM and 1 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 6 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung because it is the smallest dedicated Cloud VPS size we sell.

Is xCloud officially partnered with KeeWeb?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the KeeWeb project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source KeeWeb project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
