Mautic Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Mautic hosting puts your open source marketing automation on your own domain and your own server, so contacts and campaigns stay in a database you control. Deploy Mautic from the OneClick catalog, set the admin username, password and email at install, and xCloud provisions the database, the domain and HTTPS. You then build segments and campaigns, with no licence fee for the software itself.

What is Mautic?

Self-hosted Mautic is a marketing automation platform and an open source project. Its README describes software for fully integrated, multi-channel campaigns with unlimited segmentation and automation, aimed at teams that want to run their own marketing automation instead of relying on a third-party SaaS such as HubSpot or Mailchimp. Upstream says you can use your own database and own your data, and it describes the project as privacy-focused.

On xCloud, Mautic is a OneClick app with no published template manifest, so this page quotes no version or volume list. You choose an admin username, password and email at install, xCloud creates a database on your server or connects an existing one, and the site goes live on your domain over HTTPS. Sending email still needs a provider you configure yourself.

From Sign-Up to a Live Mautic In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Mautic install means a web server, a database, a domain and a certificate before the first segment. This skips all four and ends at the Mautic dashboard.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account, choose Mautic under One Click Apps, and pick Go Live for production or Demo Site to try it on a temporary subdomain first.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

Review the admin username, password and email, then let xCloud create a database on the server or connect an existing one. We deploy Mautic and attach your domain with HTTPS.

  3. Step 03

    Log In To The Dashboard

Click Visit Site and log in with the admin credentials from setup; no account needs creating. You land on the Mautic overview, ready to import contacts and plan a first campaign.

Everything Mautic Does, On Your Own Server

Mautic's own feature set runs here, with your contacts and campaign data in a database you control.

  • Multi-Channel Campaigns

Mautic's README promises multi-channel marketing without extra costs, so email and other channels are planned inside one campaign tool.

  • Unlimited Segmentation

Upstream describes unlimited segmentation and automation, so you can split contacts by behaviour and attributes without a per-segment limit.

  • Your Own Database

Mautic is built around using your own database. On xCloud it either creates a database on the server or connects one you already run.

  • Open Integrations

Upstream says you can create any integration you need, because both the frontend and the backend are customizable.

  • No Vendor Lock-In

Mautic's README lists no vendor lock-in as a benefit: you can switch tools or modify the software at will, since you run the code.

  • Privacy By Design

The project's stated vision is privacy-focused marketing automation, and a self-hosted instance means contact data never sits in someone else's SaaS.

Everything You Need To Run Your Marketing Automation 24/7

Hosting for Mautic, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Mautic deployed in one click
  • Database created for you
  • Admin credentials set at install
  • Demo Site or Go Live
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Mautic

  • Run Mautic email campaigns from your own domain

A small marketing team builds and sends campaigns from an instance on its own domain, with contacts and history kept in the database it controls instead of in a vendor's account.

  • Move campaigns off a marketing SaaS

A business that ran campaigns in HubSpot or Mailchimp moves segmentation and automation to Mautic on its own Cloud VPS, keeping contacts in its own database and paying no licence fee for the software.

  • Segment leads before handing them to sales

Marketers group contacts by behaviour and attributes, nurture them with campaigns and pass the warm ones on, all from the one dashboard they log into after setup.

  • Try it on a demo domain before going live

xCloud offers a Demo Site mode on a temporary subdomain, so you can explore Mautic first and promote it to a live domain once you are happy.

Mautic vs Alternatives

HubSpot
A hosted marketing and CRM suite. Mautic's README positions itself against third-party SaaS: you run it yourself, use your own database and are not tied to a vendor.
Mailchimp
A hosted email marketing service. With Mautic on your own server the contacts live in your database, and upstream lists multi-channel marketing as part of the same project.
Listmonk
A self-hosted newsletter and mailing-list manager with its own xCloud page. Mautic's README describes multi-channel campaigns with unlimited segmentation and automation; compare that scope with Listmonk's own documentation.
Keila
An open-source newsletter and email-campaign manager with its own xCloud page. Mautic positions itself as multi-channel marketing automation on your own database; read Keila's documentation to compare.
EspoCRM
An open-source CRM with its own xCloud page. Mautic's README centres on campaigns, segmentation and automation, so check which of the two jobs your team needs first.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!

I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Is Mautic free?

The software is: Mautic's README says to use it for free, with no strings attached, and to self-host it. What you pay xCloud for is the Cloud VPS it runs on and the setup, not a licence or a per-contact fee.

Is Mautic a HubSpot alternative?

It can be one for marketing automation. Mautic's README positions it against third-party SaaS: you run it yourself on your own database with no vendor lock-in. HubSpot is a hosted suite, so check which of its features you actually use.

Do I need an SMTP service for Mautic?

Plan on a sending provider. The server runs Mautic, but email deliverability and the provider that actually sends your campaigns are your responsibility, and xCloud does not configure them. xCloud has guides for connecting SMTP to your own domain.

How do I import contacts into Mautic?

Log in to the dashboard you reach after setup and import from there; the xCloud setup guide does not cover importing, so follow the Mautic documentation for the file format. Because the database is yours, contacts never pass through a vendor's account.

Can I self-host Mautic with Docker?

Not as a Docker template on this page, so Mautic Docker hosting is not what you get here. xCloud's setup guide installs Mautic as a OneClick site on your server, so there is no compose file to write: you enter an admin username, password and email, pick a database and attach a domain. The server is yours, not shared.

Is this Mautic Cloud?

No. Mautic cloud here means Mautic running on a Cloud VPS in your own xCloud account, with the database and contacts on your server. Mautic's README separately describes a trial request form for a hosted option; that is the project's own route, and xCloud is not affiliated with it.

How much RAM does Mautic need?

There is no published manifest for this app, so xCloud does not quote a minimum. This page sells the 6 GB RAM Cloud VPS as the entry tier and the 16 GB one above it. Size up if you run big imports or other apps on the server.

How do I update Mautic?

There is no automatic upgrade. Mautic's README points to its Releases page for supported versions, and you should take a server backup first. The Mautic project documents the upgrade steps; xCloud does not claim to apply them for you.

Who owns the data stored in Mautic?

You do. Contacts and campaigns sit in the database xCloud created on your server, or the one you connected, and Mautic's README stresses owning your data. xCloud runs the server and the deployment; it does not own the application or its data.

What should I back up for Mautic?

The database, above all, since it holds your contacts and campaigns. xCloud publishes no named volumes for this app, so back up the whole server with snapshots and the database dump, and test a restore before you rely on it.

What if I forget the Mautic admin password?

Reset it from the server. xCloud's setup guide shows a command-runner script that hashes a new password and updates the user row in the database; when it reports one row affected, you can log in with the new password.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
