Is Double Zero an SMTP server?

No. It sends through Amazon SES using your AWS credentials and reads delivery events from your SQS queue. You need an SES-verified identity and the SES → SNS → SQS pipeline in place first, because the install does not create AWS resources. Upstream offers an SST configuration to set that pipeline up.

How do I sign in the first time?

Open your HTTPS URL and register right away. The first account becomes the only account, and the register page closes after that. Until then, anyone who reaches the page can claim the instance.

How do my apps send email?

Create an API token under Settings, then POST JSON with from, to, subject and either html or markdown to /api/emails, using a Bearer token. to can be one address or a list. In 0.2.1 a text-only body returns an error.

Does it support multiple users or teams?

Not in 0.2.1: one registered account per instance.

What should I back up?

The doublezero_data volume (the SQLite database) plus the environment values, especially the session secret. For a consistent SQLite copy, stop the container first. Replacing the session secret signs out every session.

What are the server requirements?

The template manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of disk. Measured idle use on QA was about 184 MB. This page sells the 6 GB tier, which leaves headroom above that floor for your sending and logs.

Does xCloud automatically update Double Zero?

No. The image is pinned by immutable digest. To upgrade, read the upstream changes first, then update the image tag and its digest together.

Is Double Zero open source?

Yes, under AGPL-3.0. Hosting a modified copy carries network copyleft obligations, so read the license before you change the code.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Double Zero?

No. No official partnership or endorsement has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Double Zero project, not an official offering.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
