What is Postiz?
Postiz is a free, open-source, self-hosted workspace for planning, collaborating on, scheduling and publishing social-media content, backed by PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal and Elasticsearch. This template deploys version v2.23.0.
Is Postiz free?
Yes — it is free and open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0). What you pay xCloud for is the dedicated server it runs on and the management around it, not the application itself.
Can I self-host Postiz?
Yes — that is exactly what this template deploys. It brings up the vendor-maintained Postiz image alongside private PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal and Elasticsearch, all pinned by immutable digest, mounts six persistent volumes and publishes Postiz over HTTPS on your domain in minutes instead of assembled by hand.
How do I sign in?
There is no default account or generated password. Open your HTTPS URL after installation and register the first account yourself through Postiz's own sign-up screen.
Is registration open to anyone by default?
Yes, initially. The template ships with DISABLE_REGISTRATION=false so you can register the first account. Disable public registration in the Environment editor once your workspace is set up, or anyone who reaches the URL can sign up.
What does xCloud configure automatically?
JWT_SECRET, the PostgreSQL and Temporal PostgreSQL passwords, all six persistent volumes, the domain and the HTTPS route. Only the Postiz web application is published through xCloud-managed ingress — PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal and Elasticsearch stay private.
Are any social-media accounts preconnected?
No. No social-provider credentials are bundled. You configure only the providers your team needs, inside Postiz, using the public HTTPS callback URL it shows you — never an internal container address.
What should I back up?
All six volumes together, from one coordinated window: postiz_config, postiz_uploads, postiz_postgres_data, postiz_redis_data, postiz_temporal_postgres_data and postiz_temporal_elasticsearch_data. Stop writes or the whole stack first for an application-consistent snapshot.
Does xCloud automatically back up or update Postiz?
No. The template pins Postiz and its five dependency images by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Review both Postiz and Temporal release notes and back up all six volumes before updating an existing installation.
How do I rotate a database password?
Change the role's password inside PostgreSQL or Temporal's database first, then update the matching xCloud Environment value and redeploy. Changing the Environment value alone does not rotate a database that has already initialized with the old one.
What are the server requirements?
The template manifest asks for 4 GB of RAM, two CPU cores and 20 GB of disk as a floor — that's why this page sells the 16 GB tier rather than the 6 GB tier every lighter OneClick app uses, so PostgreSQL, Redis, Temporal and Elasticsearch all have room to run alongside Postiz itself.
What survives a restart?
Everything on all six persistent volumes. Restarting the containers does not touch your account, drafts, schedules, uploaded media or Temporal's workflow state.
Is xCloud officially partnered with Postiz?
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Postiz project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Postiz project.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
