Deploy Minecraft hosting and run a private Minecraft server for your friends, family or community on your own xCloud server. xCloud runs the pinned itzg/minecraft-server 2026.10.0 image with Minecraft Java Edition 26.3, turns on the whitelist for the usernames you list, keeps online mode on so players sign in with real Minecraft accounts, mounts a persistent volume for the world and generates the console password — no Docker to touch.
Minecraft Java Edition is the PC edition of the sandbox game, and a private Minecraft Java Edition server lets a group of players share one persistent world. Running it yourself is the self-hosted Minecraft route, and the alternative to a subscription such as Minecraft Realms. This template runs the open-source itzg/minecraft-server image, which downloads the server software on first start and reads its settings from environment values.
On xCloud it is deployed as a single container, pinned at 2026.10.0 by immutable digest, running Minecraft Java Edition 26.3 with a whitelist, online-mode account checks and the minecraft_data volume for the world. The RCON password is generated at install. There is no web page: players add the server's address in the game's Multiplayer menu.
A private Minecraft server normally means a container, the server jar, a whitelist, a console password and a volume for the world before anyone can join. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Minecraft from the OneClick catalog. Accept the Minecraft EULA, then enter the Allowed players (and optionally Operators) as comma-separated Java usernames.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the itzg Minecraft server image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container, mount the minecraft_data volume for the world and settings, generate the RCON console password and download the server on first start. That first start takes about 3 to 5 minutes while the world is generated.
Step 03
Save the RCON password from the protected credentials, then copy the Server Address from the credentials card and add it as a Multiplayer server in Minecraft Java Edition. Open the game port in your own firewall so players can reach it.
A Minecraft Java Edition server that runs in full here: an allow-list, account verification and a world that survives a restart.
Only the Java usernames you list as Allowed players can join; the whitelist is enforced and set from the install form.
Players must sign in with legitimate Minecraft accounts. Turning online mode off would let anyone join under any name, so the template keeps it on.
Give operator (admin) rights to chosen usernames at install time, or leave the field empty for none.
The server software downloads automatically on first start, so there is no jar to fetch or place by hand.
Run console commands with rcon-cli inside the container using a generated password. The RCON port is never published to the internet.
The world, server.properties, whitelist, ops, mods, plugins and logs live on the minecraft_data volume and survive an xCloud Restart.
Managed hosting for your Minecraft server, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Only the Java usernames you enter as Allowed players can join, so the world stays limited to the people you invited. Add or remove names later through the WHITELIST value.
Give operator rights to chosen usernames from the install form, then manage players through the WHITELIST and OPS environment values as the group grows or changes.
The map, settings and player lists sit on the minecraft_data volume, so the server can be restarted or redeployed without losing the world your group has built.
Set the message of the day, difficulty, game mode, seed, player limit and view distance in the environment; server.properties is rewritten from those values on every start.

Every size is a dedicated Cloud VPS we provision, patch, monitor and restore. Billed monthly with no lock-in — delete the server and the unused balance comes back to your account. The itzg/minecraft-server image is licensed under Apache-2.0; running the server requires accepting the Minecraft EULA.
Connect any VPS — DigitalOcean, Vultr, Linode, AWS, Hetzner or bare metal — and deploy Minecraft on it through the same panel, for a per-server management fee instead of a Cloud VPS rental.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.
Karl FanegaHow Advanced Web Strategies Saved Over $2,000 & Recovered 56 Hours per Month Managing 70+ Client Websites
Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Minecraft Docker hosting here means the template does the Docker part: it runs the itzg/minecraft-server image as one container with the minecraft_data volume and the game port set up for you. You enter the EULA acceptance and the player names, and no compose file is needed.
The template's baseline asks for 2 CPU cores, 2048 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk, and QA saw about 1 GiB idle with a 1 GB Java heap. The container needs roughly 25 to 50 percent more RAM than the heap, so this page sells the 6 GB tier.
Yes. The install form requires you to accept the Minecraft EULA (https://aka.ms/MinecraftEULA) before the server will start, and you are the operator of record for it. The EULA applies to every server, whoever hosts it.
Enter their Java usernames, comma-separated, as Allowed players at install; later, edit the WHITELIST environment value and Save & Redeploy. It is synchronized on every start, so names added with whitelist add in the console are reset on restart.
VERSION is set to a fixed release, and the image is pinned by digest, so nothing updates itself. To move on, back up minecraft_data, then change VERSION or the template version and redeploy. Setting LATEST follows the newest release on every restart, and a world may be upgraded irreversibly.
On the minecraft_data volume, mounted at /data in the container. It holds the world, server.properties, whitelist, ops, mods, plugins and logs, so that single volume is your backup target, ideally before any VERSION change. Test a restore before you rely on it.
Not out of the box. This template runs the Java Edition image, which upstream says supports Java natively only, so Bedrock clients cannot connect to it. Upstream documents a Bedrock-compatible setup and a separate Bedrock server image, neither of which this template installs.
Yes. The game port (TCP, forwarded to 25565 in the container) is public, and you open it in your own firewall; the platform does not open firewall ports for you. The RCON console port is never published to the internet.
Run rcon-cli inside the container from the server terminal, using the RCON password generated at install and shown as a protected credential. Because RCON is not published, commands only work from inside the container, not from the internet.
It is a Minecraft cloud server on your own dedicated Cloud VPS, but with no panel or web page. First start takes about 3 to 5 minutes while the server downloads and the world generates, then players join from the Multiplayer menu.
No. The template allows only one Minecraft server per xCloud server, so a second world on the same box needs another server. Within the one install, the minecraft_data volume survives a restart, as QA confirmed with a marker file.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
