Aurral hosting on xCloud runs a self-hosted music discovery companion for Lidarr, beside the server you already have. Deploy Aurral 2.10.0 and xCloud runs the pinned official image behind HTTPS with a persistent config volume and a suggested admin password. You then finish Aurral's setup wizard straight away and connect your Lidarr URL and API key, so requests go to your library.
Self-hosted Aurral is a Lidarr companion for music discovery. Upstream says it offers personalized recommendations, trends, discover playlists, search, scheduled playlist flows and a request activity queue, built on Lidarr instead of replacing it. It integrates with services such as Last.fm, ListenBrainz, Navidrome, Plex and Gotify, and it is a self-hosted alternative to streaming discovery features such as Spotify Discover Weekly. It is licensed under the MIT licence.
On xCloud the template runs the official ghcr.io/lklynet/aurral 2.10.0 image, pinned by digest, as one container with its database, settings and downloaded playlist tracks on the aurral_config volume. It needs an existing Lidarr server and API key. Aurral is open to anyone until its setup wizard is finished, so complete it right after install.
Self-hosting Aurral normally means a container, persistent storage, a domain and a certificate before it's even connected to Lidarr. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Aurral from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain — xCloud generates the admin password for you.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official ghcr.io/lklynet/aurral image pinned by immutable digest, mount the persistent config volume, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the admin username and generated password from your protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Aurral URL, and create the admin account in the setup wizard. Enter your Lidarr URL and API key, finish setup, sign in and start discovering.
Aurral runs in full here — the same discovery and request tooling as any hosted companion, connected to the Lidarr server you already run.
Personalized recommendations, trends, tags and recent releases, all built on top of your existing Lidarr library.
Search artists and albums, preview tracks, and add them to Lidarr with your own defaults.
Run scheduled playlist flows and imports from Spotify, Last.fm or ListenBrainz, each needing its own account.
Per-user profiles and permissions, with local login, reverse-proxy SSO or native OIDC.
See an activity view of Lidarr requests and downloads from inside Aurral.
The settings database, user accounts, request history and downloaded playlist tracks live on the persistent config volume, and settings, login and request history survived a container restart in verification.
Managed hosting for Aurral, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A collector sees recommendations, trends and recent releases for artists they like, then adds an artist or album to Lidarr with their defaults in one click from Aurral.
A listener sets scheduled flows and imports playlists from Spotify, Last.fm or ListenBrainz, then lets Aurral build tracklists that appear alongside the music Lidarr already manages.
A family or small group each gets a profile with permissions, so everyone can ask for albums through Aurral while the library itself stays managed by Lidarr.
A Navidrome or Plex user syncs Aurral playlists to their server from a dedicated download folder and plays them in their usual app, since Aurral only previews tracks itself.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

No. Upstream calls Aurral a Lidarr companion that is built on Lidarr instead of replacing it. It sends requests to a Lidarr server you already run and supply the API key for, and music managed by Lidarr stays on the Lidarr server, not on this one.
Yes, and this template does it for you: the official ghcr.io/lklynet/aurral 2.10.0 image, pinned by digest, with an aurral_config volume behind HTTPS. It is Aurral Docker hosting without writing a compose file, as long as you bring your own Lidarr server.
Aurral's floor is 512 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 4 GB of disk, and the 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here is plenty for an Aurral cloud install. Disk use grows with downloaded playlist tracks kept under the config volume.
An existing Lidarr server reachable from this site, plus its API key, which you enter in the setup wizard. Integrations such as Last.fm, ListenBrainz, Navidrome or Plex are optional and configured inside Aurral. Without Lidarr there is nothing for Aurral to send requests to.
Yes. Upstream lists playback through Navidrome or Plex and Plexamp playlists, synced through their APIs from a dedicated download folder. Aurral only previews tracks, so you play full tracks in that player. Setting up those connections is up to you.
Only after setup. Aurral is open to anyone who reaches it until its wizard is finished, so open the site right away, create the admin, and leave auto-login on the local network off, because every proxied visitor counts as local. Afterwards it asks for the login on every visit.
Take a backup of the aurral_config volume, which holds Aurral's database, settings and, by default, downloaded playlist tracks under /config/downloads/aurral. Music already managed by Lidarr stays on the Lidarr server and is not part of this backup.
Updates are not automatic: each install runs Aurral 2.10.0 pinned by digest. To move to a newer release, back up aurral_config, then adopt a newer xCloud template version once one is published, and check the Lidarr connection still responds.
Yes, inside Aurral under Settings, Users. The password lives in Aurral's database, so changing AUTH_PASSWORD in the Environment editor afterwards has no effect on an account created in the wizard. Optional OIDC sign-in and the public URL are listed as commented lines.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
