Lodestone Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Lodestone hosting and run your own Minecraft server manager on your own domain. xCloud runs Lodestone Core 0.5.1 from the official image pinned by immutable digest, mounts a persistent data volume and publishes Core's HTTP API over HTTPS in minutes — then you add it to the Lodestone dashboard at lodestone.cc and create your first Minecraft instance.

What is Lodestone?

Lodestone is a free, open-source server hosting tool for Minecraft and other multiplayer games, built with Rust, React and TypeScript. Its backend, Lodestone Core, is an authenticated HTTP API that creates and runs game server instances; the dashboard is a separate web interface that connects to a Core.

This deployment runs Lodestone Core 0.5.1 on your own xCloud server. Core has no web interface of its own: you open the Lodestone dashboard at lodestone.cc, add your Core's HTTPS address and manage your Minecraft instances from there.

From Sign-Up to a Live Core In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Lodestone Core normally means a container, a data volume, a domain and a certificate before the dashboard can reach it. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Lodestone from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in and no credentials to generate.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Lodestone Core image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with no companion services, mount the lodestone_data volume, and publish Core's HTTP API on port 16662 over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Connect The Dashboard

Copy the Core URL and Dashboard link from your installation credentials, read the one-time setup key from the container log, open lodestone.cc and add your Core by its HTTPS address. Create the owner account right away, then create your first Minecraft instance.

Everything Lodestone Does, On Your Own Server

Lodestone Core runs in full here: the authenticated API behind HTTPS on your own domain, with its users, instances and settings on a volume you own.

  • Minecraft Instances From One Dashboard

Create and manage Minecraft instances from the Lodestone dashboard, which talks to your own Core over HTTPS.

  • One-Time Owner Setup

The owner account is created once, from the dashboard, with a setup key printed in the container log. Wrong and replayed keys are rejected, and after setup API access requires a signed-in user.

  • Playit.gg Tunneling

Playit.gg integration is on by default in Core, so Minecraft instances can be reached without publishing game ports. You can turn it off in Core settings.

  • File Manager And Permissions

Upstream lists a file manager with upload, download, unzip and copy and paste, plus user permission management for collaborative remote server management.

  • Java And Server JARs On Demand

Java runtimes and server JARs download into the data volume when you create an instance, so there is nothing to pre-install.

  • Everything On One Volume

Users, SQLite data, instances, downloaded Java, settings, logs and the optional playit.toml all live on lodestone_data and survived an xCloud Restart in QA.

Everything You Need To Run Your Minecraft Server Manager 24/7

Managed hosting for Lodestone Core, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Lodestone Core 0.5.1 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Single container, no extra services
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Lodestone

  • Run your own Core

Manage Minecraft instances from the hosted Lodestone dashboard while Core, its users and its data stay on a server you control.

  • Reach servers without port forwarding

Playit.gg tunneling is on by default in Core, so players can reach an instance through an outbound tunnel instead of published game ports.

  • Share management with a community

Upstream describes collaborative remote server and resource management with user permission management, for communities that run servers together.

  • Keep server state in one place

Users, instances, downloaded Java and settings sit on one data volume you can back up as a unit.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is installed?

Lodestone Core 0.5.1, the API server. There is no built-in web interface: opening your domain's root returns an empty 404, and the info endpoint is /api/v1/info.

How do I sign in?

Open the Lodestone dashboard at lodestone.cc, add your Core's HTTPS address, and create the owner account with the one-time setup key printed in the container log. Complete owner setup immediately: the key is reissued on every restart until an owner exists.

What runs alongside Lodestone?

Nothing. It is a single container with SQLite storage on the data volume.

How do players connect?

Playit.gg is enabled by default in Core and opens an outbound tunnel for Minecraft instances; you can turn it off in Core settings. The template does not publish extra game ports or UDP.

Can I run Docker-backed instances?

No. The Docker socket is not mounted, so Docker-backed instances are not supported.

What should I back up?

The lodestone_data volume, as one unit: it holds users, SQLite data, instances, downloaded Java, global settings, logs and the optional playit.toml.

Is there an upload size limit?

Yes. Uploads through HTTPS are limited to 100 MB per request.

What survives a restart?

Core settings, users and instances live on lodestone_data. In QA the owner login and the Core name were still present after an xCloud Restart.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Lodestone?

No. The template pins Lodestone Core 0.5.1 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 128 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 12 MiB. Minecraft instances need more RAM than Core itself — the dashboard defaults to 1024–2048 MB per instance — so this page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Lodestone?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Lodestone project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Lodestone project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
