Barrage Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Barrage hosting and run a self-hosted Deluge web interface for the BitTorrent client, tuned for phones and desktops, on your own domain. xCloud starts the pinned Barrage image beside a bundled Deluge 2.2.0 engine and an nginx gateway, generates the shared password, mounts persistent volumes for Deluge's settings and downloads and publishes the site over HTTPS. The Deluge web interface itself is never exposed.

What is Barrage?

Barrage is a minimal Deluge WebUI with full mobile support, released under the MIT licence. Upstream lists a responsive mobile-first design, adding torrents by URL or magnet link, sorting and filtering, global upload and download speed limits, file priority changes and torrent options. Self-hosted Barrage is the option for people who would otherwise rent a seedbox or keep a client running on a home machine.

On xCloud the template runs Barrage 0.3.0 with the LinuxServer Deluge 2.2.0 image as the download engine, reachable only from Barrage, and a small nginx gateway as the only published service. The gateway blocks an unauthenticated upstream endpoint that would list your torrents. Settings and downloads live on deluge_config and deluge_downloads. Login is one shared password with no usernames, and peer ports are not published.

From Sign-Up to a Live Barrage In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting Deluge normally means wiring up the daemon, a separate web UI and a reverse proxy before you can add a single torrent. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Barrage from the OneClick catalog. Set your Barrage password, or let us generate one.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We provision the server, bring up Barrage with its bundled Deluge 2.2.0 engine, and publish only the Barrage interface over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Start Using It

Sign in with the password shown in your installation credentials — there is no username — and add your first torrent by magnet link or URL.

Everything Barrage Does, On Your Own Server

Barrage and its bundled Deluge engine run together here, with the Deluge web UI never exposed — only the Barrage interface is reachable.

  • Add Torrents From Anywhere

Magnet link, direct URL or a .torrent URL, added from a browser on any device — no desktop client required.

  • Files And Trackers In One Place

Browse downloaded files and manage trackers from the Barrage interface, without touching Deluge directly.

  • Deluge 2.2.0 Bundled

The download engine ships with the template and is connected automatically — no separate daemon setup.

  • Only Barrage Is Public

Deluge's own web UI stays on the private install network; the public surface is the Barrage interface alone.

  • Light Footprint

Measured around 130 MB of RAM idle and about 170 MB while downloading, so it runs comfortably alongside other apps.

  • Backed By Persistent Volumes

Settings, torrent state and downloaded files live on persistent storage and were verified to survive a full restart, with torrents still listed and seeding.

Everything You Need To Run Your Torrent Client 24/7

Managed hosting for Barrage and its bundled Deluge engine, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Barrage 0.3.0 deployed instantly
  • Deluge 2.2.0 engine bundled
  • Add torrents by magnet or URL
  • Generated login password
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Scheduled Docker backups
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Barrage

  • Manage downloads from your phone

Open Barrage on a phone to add a magnet link, check progress and pause or reorder torrents, without installing a desktop client or a native app.

  • Keep a download box off your laptop

Run Deluge on an always-on Cloud VPS so downloads continue while your own machine is off, and fetch the finished files when you need them.

  • Fine-tune a busy torrent list

Sort and filter the list, set global speed limits and change file priorities, so important downloads finish first on a shared connection.

  • Put a clean interface on Deluge

Use Barrage's minimal interface in place of Deluge's own web page, while the engine and its web port stay private behind the gateway.

Barrage vs Alternatives

Seedbox services
If you rent a seedbox for downloads, Barrage with a bundled Deluge is the self-hosted route: you run the engine and interface yourself on a Cloud VPS, with the files on a volume you control.
Flood
Flood has its own xCloud page and is another modern web interface for torrent clients. Compare the two templates for supported engines, login model and sizing before you choose.
ruTorrent
ruTorrent has its own xCloud page. Barrage's template pairs a mobile-first interface with Deluge 2.2.0 and an nginx gateway, using one shared password.
Deluge's own web interface
Deluge ships its own web page. Barrage replaces it with a mobile-first one, while the template keeps Deluge's web and daemon ports private and forwards only the routes Barrage needs.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is Barrage used for?

Barrage is used to control a Deluge BitTorrent client from a clean, mobile-friendly web page. You add torrents by URL or magnet link, sort and filter them, set global speed limits, change file priorities and adjust torrent options from a phone or a laptop. Deluge does the downloading in the background.

Is Barrage free and open source?

Yes. Barrage is open source under the MIT licence, and the bundled Deluge is GPL-3.0-or-later, so neither carries a licence fee. Your xCloud bill covers the Cloud VPS and the deployment. What you download and share is your responsibility, so follow the law where you live.

Can you self-host Barrage with Docker?

Yes. For Barrage Docker hosting the template runs three pinned containers: Barrage 0.3.0, a LinuxServer Deluge 2.2.0 engine and an nginx gateway, with two named volumes and HTTPS on your domain. It generates the session secret and Deluge password, so you do not write the compose file.

How much RAM does Barrage need?

The template manifest asks for 384 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 20 GB of disk plus space for downloads. The 6 GB Cloud VPS sold here is far above the memory floor. Disk is what you will actually run out of, so size it for the files you expect to keep.

Does Barrage include Deluge?

Yes, this template bundles a Deluge 2.2.0 instance as the download engine, using the LinuxServer image pinned by digest. Its web interface and daemon ports are not published and are reachable only from Barrage on the private network. Barrage connects to it with a generated password that is re-applied on every start.

How do I log in to Barrage?

Open your HTTPS address and enter the Barrage password shown by xCloud, which is generated if you leave the field empty. There are no usernames. To change it, edit the password in the Environment editor and redeploy; do not change the Deluge web password inside Deluge, because the environment value overrides it.

Does Barrage have user accounts?

No. Barrage has one shared password, no per-user accounts and no login rate limit, so use a long password. Anyone with it can add and remove torrents and see downloaded file names. You can add Basic Auth at the reverse proxy as an extra layer, though the template does not enable it.

How do I back up Barrage?

Barrage itself is stateless. Back up deluge_config, which holds Deluge's settings and torrent state, together with deluge_downloads, which holds the downloaded files, while the install is stopped. Keep copies off-server and test a restore. Downloads can be large, so check the disk space your backup target needs first.

How do I upgrade Barrage?

Barrage 0.3.0, Deluge 2.2.0 and the nginx gateway each carry a digest, so a template update never alters a running site. Save both volumes, read the upstream notes, pick a later template version, and then check that the gateway still refuses the unauthenticated endpoint.

Can other peers connect to my torrents?

Only partly. Torrent peer ports are not published, so Deluge makes outbound peer connections only. Incoming peers and some seeding scenarios are limited as a result. The Deluge daemon and web ports stay private, and the gateway forwards only the routes the Barrage interface needs.

Can I run Barrage in the cloud on xCloud?

Yes. With Barrage cloud hosting you get a dedicated Cloud VPS that runs all three containers, with your domain and certificate attached. Hardware rented elsewhere can join as a self-managed server instead, and the same template deploys onto it from the same dashboard.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
