Deploy Once Campfire hosting and give your team a private chat on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Once Campfire 1.5.2 image as a single container with embedded SQLite, creates the administrator account from the email you enter with a generated password, mounts a persistent data volume and publishes the app, WebSocket included, over HTTPS in minutes.
Once Campfire is the self-hostable version of Campfire, a web-based chat application from 37signals. It supports multiple rooms with access controls, direct messages, file attachments with previews, search, @mentions, Web Push notifications and an API with support for bot integrations.
Upstream's Docker image contains everything needed for a single-machine deployment: the web app, background jobs, caching and file serving. xCloud deploys that official image, pinned by digest, with a persistent volume and HTTPS on your domain.
Self-hosting Campfire normally means a container, a volume for the database and attachments, a first-run admin account, a domain and a certificate before the first message. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Once Campfire from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and enter the administrator email — that is the only field.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Once Campfire image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with Redis and job workers inside it, mount the campfire_data volume, create the administrator account with a generated password, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS Once Campfire URL and sign in with the administrator email and the generated password from your credentials. Change your password in your profile, then copy the join link from Settings and share it with your team.
Once Campfire runs in full here: rooms, direct messages and file sharing on your own domain, with all data on a volume you own.
Talk in multiple rooms with access controls, or privately one to one, in a chat that lives on your own server.
Share files in a conversation and see previews inline. Attachments are stored on the campfire_data volume.
Find past messages with search and pull someone into a conversation with an @mention.
Members can get Web Push notifications. The key pair is generated on first start and kept in the data volume.
Upstream supports bot integrations through an API, so scripts and services can post into your rooms.
The administrator is created at install, so the first-run page is never open to visitors. New members sign up only with the join link or code from Settings.
Managed hosting for Once Campfire, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Keep day-to-day conversation in rooms and direct messages on a server you control, instead of a hosted chat service.
Drop attachments into a room and keep them, with previews, next to the discussion they belong to.
Members get Web Push notifications, and invitations are links and codes you pass on yourself, so no mail server is involved.
Use the API to wire bots and scripts into your rooms.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

John ApertureI went from Cloudways to xCloud. No intention on switching in the foreseeable future.
Blaine MooreFeel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.
Use the administrator email you entered at install and the generated password shown in your protected installation credentials. The account is created on the first start, which takes about a minute.
The administrator copies the join link or code from Settings and shares it. Open sign-up is not available, and the public first-run page is never open.
Nothing separate. It is a single container that includes its own Redis and job workers, with embedded SQLite, so there is no external database to run.
No. The app sends no email, so invitations are links and codes you pass on yourself.
Yes. Upstream shows the administrator email as a contact link on the sign-in page so people know whom to ask for help. If that bothers you, enter any contact address at install and create yourself a separate administrator account.
The campfire_data volume, which holds the database, uploaded attachments, snapshots and web push keys, plus the stable .env values, notably SECRET_KEY_BASE.
SECRET_KEY_BASE signs sessions, so changing it signs everyone out and invalidates push subscriptions. Leave it as generated.
Messages and attachments on the campfire_data volume survive an xCloud Restart.
The app sets no attachment size cap of its own. The template lets the domain accept request bodies up to 500 MB, and Cloudflare, when it fronts the domain, limits one request to about 100 MB.
No. The template pins Once Campfire 1.5.2 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 4 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 400 MiB, rising to about 570 MiB after use. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and 37signals or the Once Campfire project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Once Campfire project.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
