Password Pusher hosting on xCloud lets you deploy Password Pusher, a self-hosted password sharing tool, and replace credentials pasted into email or chat with links that expire by time or by views. xCloud runs the pinned Password Pusher 2.11.5 image, generates the encryption keys, keeps data on a persistent volume and publishes it over HTTPS. Public signup is off, and a one-time boot code creates your first administrator.
Password Pusher is an open-source application for sharing passwords, notes, URLs, QR codes and files through links that expire after a set time or number of views. Upstream's documentation also covers an audit trail and a JSON API. A self-hosted Password Pusher, also known as pwpush, is an alternative to hosted one-time secret services such as OneTimeSecret or Bitwarden Send, and the code is Apache-2.0.
On xCloud the template runs the open-source release, Password Pusher 2.11.5, as the official image pinned by digest. A generated Lockbox master key encrypts push payloads and a separate Rails secret signs sessions. SQLite, uploads and queue state sit on the password_pusher_data volume. Public registration is disabled; anonymous expiring pushes stay on, and no SMTP is configured.
Self-hosting an expiring-link tool normally means a container, an encrypted database, a domain and a certificate before a single push exists. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Password Pusher from the OneClick catalog. Enter a site title and choose a domain — there are no other fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Password Pusher 2.11.5 image pinned by immutable digest, generate the Rails secret and Lockbox master key, write a one-time first-run boot code, mount the password_pusher_data volume and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open your HTTPS URL and enter the one-time boot code shown in your xCloud installation credentials to create the first administrator. Sign in and create an expiring test push to confirm it works.
Password Pusher runs in full here — expiring secret links backed by encrypted storage, on infrastructure you control.
Share passwords, notes, URLs, QR codes and files through links that expire after a chosen time or number of views.
Create a push without an account, with upstream throttling limits still applied to keep the service healthy.
Public account registration is off in this baseline — access starts with the one-time boot code that creates your administrator.
A generated Lockbox master key encrypts push data, and a separate Rails secret signs application sessions.
Uploads and files stay on the persistent volume, with no external object storage configured by default.
The SQLite database, uploads, queue state and first-run data all live on password_pusher_data, which survives a restart.
Managed hosting for Password Pusher, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Create a push that expires after one view or a day, and send the link instead of the password itself.
Upload a file to a push with an expiry, so the link stops working once the client has fetched it.
Let colleagues create anonymous expiring pushes without accounts, within upstream's throttling limits.
Run it on your own domain so pushed payloads are stored on a server you control rather than a third party's.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

It encrypts push payloads with a generated Lockbox master key, and a separate Rails secret signs sessions. That is application-level encryption, not end-to-end or zero-knowledge, so the server can decrypt a push. Keep both keys private and stable.
Yes, and this template is Password Pusher Docker hosting without the setup: the official pglombardo/pwpush 2.11.5 image pinned by digest, generated keys, the password_pusher_data volume and HTTPS on your domain. The image is Linux/amd64, and the password_pusher_data volume keeps your pushes across redeploys.
No. Account email delivery is disabled and no SMTP is configured, so password reset and other email-dependent account features do not work until you add SMTP through the Environment editor and redeploy. Until then, give each person their own link directly.
Open your HTTPS URL and enter the one-time boot code from the xCloud credentials panel. It is single use, and Password Pusher removes it once the administrator exists. Public registration stays disabled, so nobody else can sign up.
Yes. Password Pusher is released under the Apache License 2.0, so the software has no licence fee. This template runs the open-source release; you pay xCloud for the dedicated Cloud VPS that hosts it, which is the only recurring cost.
Yes. Anonymous, unauthenticated expiring pushes remain enabled, with upstream throttling of 120 requests per minute and 60 per second still applied. Accounts are only needed to sign in as an administrator, since public signup is off.
The floor is 512 MB of RAM with one core and 2 GB of disk, which suits a single Rails container with SQLite. The 6 GB plan is far above that, so the server has room for other apps beside it.
Back up password_pusher_data together with SECRET_KEY_BASE and PWPUSH_MASTER_KEY. The volume holds the SQLite database, uploads and queue state, and losing or changing the master key can make stored pushes unreadable. Nothing schedules the copy, so run it yourself.
The install stays on Password Pusher 2.11.5 until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the volume and both secrets first, read the upstream release and migration notes, then check that an expiring push still works afterwards.
This page is your own Password Pusher cloud: a dedicated Cloud VPS running the open-source release, with pushes and uploads on a volume you control. Signup stays closed, so only people you approve can create pushes with an account.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
