pyLoad hosting gives you a self-hosted download manager that you drive from the browser on your own domain. Deploy pyLoad 0.5.0b3.dev101 as one pinned container with a generated administrator password and persistent config and downloads volumes, published over HTTPS in minutes. It is a 0.5 beta release, and the login is the only protection, so keep the password private and share it with nobody you would not trust.
pyLoad is a free, lightweight download manager written in pure Python with a modern web UI and a rich plugin ecosystem. Upstream describes automating downloads from one-click hosters and other sources, with support for premium accounts, captcha-solving services and link decryption. A self-hosted pyLoad is an alternative to running a desktop download manager such as JDownloader on your own machine, released under AGPL-3.0, so you can read the code that runs on your server.
On xCloud it is pyLoad 0.5.0b3.dev101, a beta, from the LinuxServer image pinned by digest, as one container with the pyload_config and pyload_downloads volumes. xCloud replaces the stock pyload login with your password and serves the web interface over HTTPS. Download limits, proxy and every other setting are changed inside pyLoad.
A download manager needs the app, a config volume, a downloads volume, a replaced default login, a domain and a certificate before the first link is queued. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick pyLoad from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain, an administrator password or let one be generated, and an IANA timezone such as UTC.
Step 02
One click. We start the LinuxServer pyload-ng image 0.5.0b3.dev101-ls257, pinned by digest, mount pyload_config and pyload_downloads, replace the stock pyload login with your password and publish it over HTTPS.
Step 03
Sign in as pyload with the password on the credentials card, review Settings for limits, proxy and any accounts you hold, then add links or upload a container file such as a .dlc from the Queue page.
pyLoad runs here as the lightweight Python download manager, with downloads landing on a server you control.
Add links and containers from the web interface and watch the queue, instead of keeping a desktop client open.
Upstream lists hundreds of plugins for hosters, decrypters and addons such as notifications, schedulers and extractors.
pyLoad can handle captchas when a hoster asks for one. This page makes no claim about which hosters work.
Downloaded archives can be unpacked after the transfer, and extraction uses more memory while it runs.
Upload a container file such as a .dlc, up to 16 MiB, from the Queue page to load its links.
Files are kept in pyload_downloads, mounted at /downloads, and settings live in pyload_config, both persistent across restarts.
Managed hosting for pyLoad, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Add links from your laptop and let the server fetch them while your own machine sleeps.
Point colleagues at a shared download location on the server instead of passing files around.
Have archives extracted on the server after the transfer, then fetch only what you need.
Upload a .dlc container file and let pyLoad add all the links it holds to the queue.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes. This template is pyLoad Docker hosting without the setup: the LinuxServer pyload-ng 0.5.0b3.dev101 image pinned by digest, two volumes, a replaced default login and HTTPS on your own domain, with no Compose file to maintain.
The manifest asks for 256 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 20 GB of disk. Archive extraction, ffmpeg and OCR post-processing use more memory while they run, and the downloads volume needs space for what you fetch.
No. Upstream publishes the 0.5 line as a beta, and this build is 0.5.0b3.dev101. The 0.4 line is end of life, so the template uses the beta. Expect change, and back up before you move versions.
pyLoad ships with the well-known login pyload and pyload. The install replaces that password with the one you set or xCloud generates, then checks that the stock password no longer works. Change it later under Settings, Users.
Yes. pyLoad is AGPL-3.0 software, with some bundled plugins under GPL-3.0, so the code costs nothing to run. Your spend is the Cloud VPS that hosts it, which gives you a pyLoad cloud of your own instead of a paid downloader service.
Yes. Upstream lists extractors among its addons, and the container supports archive unpacking after a download finishes, though it is not guaranteed for every format. Extraction uses more memory while it runs, so watch RAM on large archives.
Anyone who can sign in can queue downloads from this server, read and delete everything under /downloads, store hoster logins and configure scripts that run inside the container. The login is the only protection, so keep it private.
Back up pyload_config while pyLoad is stopped or quiet, since it holds the settings file and SQLite database. The pyload_downloads volume holds the fetched files and is backed up according to its size and value.
The install stays on its pinned 0.5.0b3.dev101 image until you adopt a newer template version. Back up /config, read the pyLoad and LinuxServer release notes and test a restored copy first. Nothing upgrades automatically, and you can roll back by restoring the old volume with the old image.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
