Deploy Terraria Server hosting and give your friends a private, always-on multiplayer world on your own xCloud server. xCloud runs the pinned vanilla Terraria 1.4.5.0 server image as a single container, generates the join password, publishes the game port on a public TCP port, creates a world on first start and keeps it on a persistent volume — players join from the normal Terraria PC client.
A Terraria dedicated server is a standalone process that hosts a Terraria world so that players can join it from the Terraria PC client with an address, port and password, without anyone having to keep a game client running. This template runs the vanilla Terraria 1.4.5.0 server through the community hexlo/terraria-server-docker image.
On xCloud it is deployed as a single container with a persistent world volume. There is no web page and no admin account: the game port is published on a public TCP port, and moderation is done from the server console over SSH.
A Terraria dedicated server normally means a container, a world file, a join password, a published port and a volume before anyone can connect. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Terraria Server from the OneClick catalog. No domain is needed, and the only field is the server password: leave it empty to have xCloud generate one, or enter your own (6 to 32 letters and numbers).
Step 02
One click. We bring up the community Terraria server image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with no companion services, mount the terraria_worlds volume for the world files and ban list, apply the join password and publish the game port. The first start takes a minute or two while a small Expert-mode world is generated.
Step 03
Save the Server Address, Server Port and Server Password from the protected credentials. In Terraria choose Multiplayer, then Join via IP, and enter all three.
A vanilla Terraria dedicated server that runs in full here: a password-protected world that survives a restart.
A vanilla dedicated server, so players use the normal Terraria PC client. Clients must match the server's game version.
A 12-character password is generated at install, or you set your own. In QA the server refused passwordless joins, and the password did not appear in the container logs.
On first start the server creates a small, Expert-mode world. World size, seed and difficulty can be changed in the environment editor.
Kick, ban and save from the server console, which you reach over SSH with docker attach.
World files, their .bak backups and banlist.txt live on the terraria_worlds volume. In QA the world file kept its inode and size across a restart and was loaded, not regenerated.
Set a new worldname in the environment editor and redeploy to start another world; the old world file stays on disk.
Managed hosting for your Terraria server, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Share the address, port and password with the people you trust, and they can join the same world whenever they like.
The server runs on its own xCloud server rather than on a player's machine, and the world is reloaded from the volume after every restart or redeploy.
Set a new world name, seed or difficulty in the environment editor and redeploy to start another world while the old one stays on disk.
Kick, ban and save from the console, with the ban list kept on the persistent volume.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

No. Terraria connects over a raw TCP port, so players use the Server Address and Server Port from the credentials panel in the Terraria client. Plain HTTP to the port returns nothing, which is expected.
With the server password from the credentials panel. Anyone without it cannot join.
Nothing. It is a single container with one persistent volume.
In Terraria choose Multiplayer, then Join via IP, and enter the Server Address, Server Port and Server Password from the protected installation credentials. Allow a minute or two after install for the first start.
Edit it in the environment editor, then Save and Redeploy. The password is re-applied from the environment on every start, so one set from the game console only lasts until the next restart.
The server is open to the internet on its port, and the password is the only access control. Share it only with people you trust, and use firewall rules if your players have stable addresses.
Type the command into the server console over SSH with docker attach terraria-server-<site name>. Detach with Ctrl+P then Ctrl+Q; Ctrl+C stops the server.
Yes. Set worldname in the environment editor and redeploy. The old world file stays on disk. World settings apply only while no world file with that name exists.
The terraria_worlds volume, which holds the world files and banlist.txt. Stop the server first, by typing exit in the console or using Stop in the dashboard, so the world is saved.
No. The template pins the hexlo/terraria-server-docker 1.4.5.0 image by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Terraria clients must match the server's game version. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; measured memory in QA was about 570 to 634 MiB after start and world load, and larger worlds with many players will need more. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.
Data on the terraria_worlds volume. In QA the world file kept its inode and size after a restart and was loaded from the volume rather than regenerated.
No. The Terraria server binaries are Re-Logic's proprietary software, downloaded when the image is built, and the community image repository reports no detectable licence. Check that your use fits Terraria's terms.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and Re-Logic or the hexlo project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for a community Terraria server image.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
