Deluge Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Deluge hosting and manage torrents from any browser on a server you own. xCloud runs the pinned Deluge 2.2.0 image as a single container, generates a strong web password (or uses the one you choose), mounts persistent volumes for settings and downloads, and publishes the web interface over HTTPS in minutes.

What is Deluge?

Deluge is a lightweight, free and open-source BitTorrent client with a web interface and a plugin system. It runs as its own daemon, so downloads continue on the server while you manage them from a browser.

On xCloud, Deluge 2.2.0 runs on your own server behind HTTPS and a password set at install time, with the LinuxServer.io image pinned by immutable digest.

From Sign-Up to a Running Torrent Client In Just 3 Easy Steps

A self-hosted Deluge normally means a container, a web password, volumes, a fixed peer port, a domain and a certificate before the first torrent. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Deluge from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and server, and optionally enter a Web Interface Password of 12 characters or more — leave it empty to have one generated.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up a single Deluge container from the LinuxServer.io image, pinned by immutable digest, mount the deluge_config and deluge_downloads volumes, set your password before Deluge starts, publish the BitTorrent TCP and UDP ports, and serve the web interface over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Add A Torrent

Save the password from the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Deluge URL and sign in. Add a torrent from a file or link; if the server has a firewall, open the BitTorrent TCP and UDP ports shown in the post-install notes.

Everything Deluge Does, On Your Own Server

Deluge runs in full here: a browser-managed BitTorrent client on your own domain, with its settings and downloads on persistent storage.

  • Torrents From A Browser

Add torrents from a file or a link and manage them through Deluge's web interface, from any device with a browser.

  • A Plugin System

Deluge is plugin-capable, so its functionality can be extended. Enabling plugins is reserved for whoever holds the password.

  • Its Own Daemon

Deluge runs as its own daemon with the web interface talking to it inside the container; the daemon's remote-control port is not published.

  • A Real Password, Never The Default

The well-known default password is never accepted: the password you set is written before Deluge starts and re-applied on every start.

  • Fixed BitTorrent Peer Port

The TCP peer port is fixed to the one published on your server, so incoming peer connections can reach Deluge.

  • Settings And Downloads Persist

Settings, torrent state and plugins live on deluge_config and downloaded files on deluge_downloads, so both survive an xCloud Restart.

What You Can Do With Deluge

  • Manage torrents from any browser

Add, monitor and remove torrents from a laptop, phone or tablet without keeping a desktop client open.

  • Keep downloads on a server you own

Files land on the deluge_downloads volume of your own Cloud VPS, separate from the devices you use to manage them.

  • Extend the client with plugins

Use Deluge's plugin system to add functionality, with settings and plugins kept on the deluge_config volume.

  • Run a small, lightweight client

The baseline is 1 CPU core and 256 MB of RAM, and idle use measured about 115 MiB in QA.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

Open the site and enter the password from the installation credentials. Deluge has one password and no user name.

Why do I need to open ports?

xCloud publishes the BitTorrent TCP and UDP ports but never changes your firewall. Without them Deluge still downloads but cannot accept incoming peers.

What runs alongside Deluge?

Nothing else: one container holds the daemon and web interface.

What should I back up?

The deluge_config and deluge_downloads volumes. Back them up together while the site is stopped so resume data and files stay consistent.

Is the default Deluge password accepted?

No. The upstream default password was verified as rejected before and after a restart. The password you set is applied on every start.

How do I change the password?

Edit the password in the environment editor and redeploy. A password changed inside Deluge's own preferences is replaced by the environment value on the next restart.

Who can see my server's IP address?

Peers in a swarm can see the server's public IP address. Use Deluge only for content you may legally download and share.

Will UDP, DHT and uTP work for incoming peers?

Expect TCP-only peer connectivity. The DHT and uTP UDP port is allocated separately from the TCP port, and peers are told the TCP number.

Is access protected beyond the password?

The password is the only protection, and anyone with it can add and remove torrents, read and delete downloaded files and enable plugins. Keep it private.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Deluge?

No. The template pins Deluge 2.2.0 by immutable digest, so installs never change underneath you. To upgrade, read the upstream release notes, back up both volumes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 256 MB of RAM and 20 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 115 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline and room for downloads.

What survives a restart?

Torrents, settings and downloads survive an xCloud Restart, because they live on the persistent deluge_config and deluge_downloads volumes.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Deluge?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Deluge project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Deluge project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
