DHIS2 hosting on xCloud runs the health information platform on your own domain without you building the stack, as a self-hosted health information platform. Deploy DHIS2 2.43.2 and xCloud runs the official dhis2/core image with a private PostGIS database, replaces upstream's public default admin login with a generated password, writes the configuration file for you and publishes it over HTTPS.
Self-hosted DHIS2 is a flexible information system for data capture, management, validation, analytics and visualization. Upstream's README says data can be captured through web browsers, Android devices, Java feature phones and SMS, and the project describes dashboards, maps and a web API. It is an open-source alternative to proprietary health information systems, released under the BSD 3-Clause licence.
On xCloud the template runs the official dhis2/core 2.43.2 image, pinned by digest, with PostgreSQL 16 and PostGIS 3.5 on a private network. Two named volumes hold the DHIS2 home directory and the database. Upstream warns its own Docker Compose file is not for production use, so back up, test restores and read DHIS2's production guidance before you rely on this for real health data.
A DHIS2 install normally means an application server, a PostGIS database, a configuration file, an admin bootstrap, a domain and a certificate before anyone can enter data. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick DHIS2 from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and server. There are no extra fields; the admin password is generated for you.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official DHIS2 image and a private PostGIS database, both pinned by immutable digest, mount the dhis2_home and dhis2_db volumes, replace DHIS2's public default login with your generated password and publish the web interface and API over HTTPS.
Step 03
Allow about 5 to 10 minutes for the first start, when the schema and bundled apps are created. Then open the HTTPS URL, sign in as admin with the generated password, and create your own users and roles.
DHIS2 runs in full here: a health data platform with its web apps and API, on a domain and a server you control.
Collect, manage and validate aggregate and individual-level health data in one web application, with metadata management and configuration built in.
DHIS2 is built for data capture, management, validation, analytics and visualisation, so the same system that collects the numbers also checks and analyses them.
Upstream ships visualisation apps for dashboards, pivot tables, charting and GIS, and the PostGIS database underneath supports the spatial side.
The data model and services are exposed through a RESTful web API, so other systems can read and write DHIS2 data.
No data is open to anonymous visitors by default. You decide who gets an account and which roles they hold.
The first start installs DHIS2's bundled apps, and the dhis2_home volume keeps installed apps, uploaded file resources and logs across restarts.
Managed hosting for DHIS2, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
A ministry unit or NGO collects aggregate and individual-level data through web forms, validates it and publishes dashboards and maps, on a server its own staff control.
A programme gathers data from clients ranging from web browsers to Android devices and SMS, as upstream describes, then reviews it centrally in the same instance.
An analyst builds charts, pivot tables and dashboards from collected data and shares them with decision makers through the web interface and the web API.
An organisation with strict data-handling duties hosts DHIS2 itself, using individual user accounts and DHIS2's own access controls, and applying its own retention policy.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes. DHIS2 is open source under the BSD 3-Clause licence, so the platform carries no licence charge. xCloud bills for the dedicated Cloud VPS that runs it. The DHIS2 name and logo are trademarks of their owners, and no partnership is implied.
Upstream runs DHIS2 in Docker for development but warns its Compose file is not for production. This template uses the official dhis2/core 2.43.2 image with PostGIS, pinned by digest, behind HTTPS, so it is DHIS2 Docker hosting you should back up and test; read DHIS2's production guidance too.
The floor is 4096 MB of RAM, 2 CPU cores and 20 GB of disk, so a DHIS2 cloud server is sold on the 16 GB Cloud VPS. DHIS2 publishes no hard minimum and advises giving PostgreSQL more than half of the memory.
Open your HTTPS URL and sign in as admin with the generated Admin Password from your credentials. A fresh DHIS2 starts with a public default login, which the container replaces on start while it is still active. Create your own users and restrict the shared admin.
Configure SMTP under System settings inside DHIS2, because it is a DHIS2 system setting, not an environment variable. Until you do, DHIS2 will not send email. Sign in as administrator, set the mail server details, and test with a message.
Upstream says not to use its Docker Compose file in production and points to a separate docker deployment project under development. This template is a convenient managed starting point, but you should plan backups, restore tests and your own operations before putting live health data on it.
Take a backup of dhis2_home and dhis2_db together; the home volume holds the configuration, uploaded files, apps and logs, and the database holds the data. Prefer a PostgreSQL-native dump for a consistent online copy, and test restores in an isolated install.
Upgrade only after a backup. The 2.43.2 image is fixed by digest, DHIS2 migrates its schema on start and cannot be downgraded, so read upstream's notes and rehearse on a restored copy before touching a live install.
By default DHIS2 contacts the DHIS2 App Hub for update notifications, controlled by a system setting. File resources are limited by DHIS2 itself to about 10 MB. DHIS2 always requires sign-in, with no anonymous access to data unless an administrator grants it, so review these settings before go-live.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
