Deploy Apache Hop hosting and give your data team a self-hosted visual ETL platform in the browser, on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Apache Hop Web 2.19.0 image as a single container, generates the login that protects the GUI and the Hop Server REST API, mounts persistent volumes for your projects and audit history, and publishes it over HTTPS in minutes.
Self-hosted Apache Hop is the Hop Orchestration Platform, which its README says aims to facilitate all aspects of data and metadata orchestration. It is developed at the Apache Software Foundation under the Apache-2.0 licence. You design pipelines and workflows on a canvas, preview data as you build, and run them from the same tool, and Hop Web is the browser version of that GUI. It stands in for a hosted ETL service, with projects kept on a server you own.
On xCloud the template runs the apache/hop-web 2.19.0 image as a single container, pinned by immutable digest, with hop_config and hop_audit volumes. HTTPS is published at /ui on your domain behind one shared Tomcat Basic login. It runs the Hop Web GUI only, with no Spark, Flink, Dataflow or remote Hop Server.
Running Hop Web yourself normally means pulling the image, putting Tomcat authentication in front of it, wiring volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first pipeline. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Apache Hop from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in, because xCloud generates the credentials.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the upstream Apache Hop Web image as a single container, pinned by immutable digest, mount the hop_config and hop_audit volumes, generate the admin password that protects every path, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the password from the installation credentials, open your HTTPS address followed by /ui (the first start can take a minute or two) and sign in as admin. Create a pipeline from the + menu and save it in the default project.
The Hop Web GUI runs in full here: a browser-based workbench for data pipelines and workflows, with your projects stored on your own volume.
Design data pipelines and workflows visually in the Hop Web GUI instead of writing them as code or config files.
A generated admin password, enforced by Tomcat Basic authentication, protects the GUI and the Hop Server REST API; every path answered 401 without it in verification.
Projects, metadata and configuration live in the hop_config volume, and a pipeline saved in the GUI was still there after a container restart in QA.
The hop_audit volume holds Hop's audit history, such as recently opened files and perspectives, apart from your projects.
Set HOP_DRIVERS_DOWNLOAD to fetch JDBC drivers at start and HOP_LOG_LEVEL to change logging, both from the environment file.
The apache/hop-web 2.19.0 image is pinned by immutable digest, so new installations always start from the same reviewed build.
Managed hosting for Apache Hop, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Move and transform data between systems by laying out the pipeline in the browser rather than scripting it.
Chain pipelines and other actions into workflows so a whole data job is designed and managed in one place.
Pipelines, metadata and configuration sit in a named volume on your own Cloud VPS, not in a hosted vendor's workspace.
One HTTPS address and one generated login let a trusted team open the same Hop Web instance from any browser.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

John ApertureI went from Cloudways to xCloud. No intention on switching in the foreseeable future.

The manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 2048 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk. QA measured about 650 MiB idle and about 1 GiB after driving the GUI, with the Java heap capped at 1 GB. The 6 GB Cloud VPS here leaves real headroom.
Yes. Apache Hop is Apache-2.0 licensed, per the LICENSE file at the 2.19.0-rc1 tag, which is the only 2.19 tag upstream, so licensing adds no cost. What xCloud bills is the dedicated Cloud VPS, and your projects stay on your own volumes.
Yes, and this is Apache Hop Docker hosting prepared for you: the template runs the upstream apache/hop-web 2.19.0 image as one container, pinned by immutable digest, with two volumes and HTTPS on your domain, so it works as Apache Hop cloud hosting on your own VPS.
Apache Hop designs pipelines and workflows on a canvas in the browser, previews rows at any step and runs them from the same tool. Airflow has a separate xCloud page, so measure the two against how your team prefers to build.
Open your site address followed by /ui and sign in as admin with the generated password from the installation credentials. The site address alone does not open the GUI. The first start loads plugins, so a gateway error for a minute or two is normal; reload.
Only people you trust fully. Hop Web is a full data-engineering IDE: anyone who signs in can run actions that execute shell commands, read or write files inside the container, and reach any database or network the server can reach. There are no per-user roles.
Everything. Tomcat Basic authentication covers the GUI and the Hop Server REST API, and every path answered 401 without it in verification. Tomcat also locks the admin user for five minutes after five failed sign-ins, even for the correct password.
Yes. Set HOP_DRIVERS_DOWNLOAD in the environment file to download drivers at every start, which needs outbound internet, and restricted vendor drivers also need HOP_DRIVERS_ACCEPT_LICENSE set to true. Test a connection to your database before building on it.
In the hop_config volume, under the default project, with run history in hop_audit. A pipeline saved in the GUI was still there after a container restart in QA, because both are persistent named volumes. Uploads through the file dialog are capped at 100 MB.
The hop_config and hop_audit volumes, plus the stable environment values such as HOP_WEB_PASSWORD. Keep the credentials private, copy the volumes off the server, and test a restore on a spare server before you rely on it.
No upgrade happens by itself: the install stays on pinned release 2.19.0 until you adopt a newer template version. Snapshot both volumes first, read the upstream release notes, then check sign-in and open a saved pipeline afterwards.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
