Imgcompress hosting on xCloud gives you a self-hosted image converter for compressing, converting and resizing images in your browser, on your own server and domain. Deploy Imgcompress from the OneClick catalog and xCloud starts the pinned 0.9.0 image as one container with no database and no volume, hides the file-list and cleanup endpoints and publishes it over HTTPS. There is no login, so anyone with the address can upload; add Basic Authentication if that matters.
Imgcompress is, in its README's words, a self-hosted image processing server that runs entirely inside a single Docker container. It handles compression, format conversion and AI-powered background removal locally, with no cloud services, and lists more than 70 image formats such as HEIC, HEIF, PSD, AVIF and PDF, bulk compression, per-file cropping and a web UI plus a command line. Self-hosted Imgcompress is an image toolbox you run yourself instead of uploading photos to hosted tools. It is licensed under GPL-3.0.
On xCloud this template deploys Imgcompress 0.9.0, pinned by digest, as one container with no database and no volume. Uploads and results sit in temporary container storage and are deleted after about an hour, so there is nothing to back up. It has no login, and background removal runs a model per CPU worker that can use significant memory.
Self-hosting an image toolbox normally means wiring up HTTPS and deciding what to lock down before a single file can be converted safely. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account, pick Imgcompress from the OneClick catalog, and choose a domain. There are no credentials to generate.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the pinned Imgcompress 0.9.0 image with the file-list, force-cleanup and log endpoints disabled for visitors, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open the HTTPS Imgcompress URL, choose an output format, add your images and start converting. If the tool should not be public, add Basic Auth in front of the site first.
Imgcompress runs in full here — compression, conversion, resizing, cropping and background removal, on infrastructure you control.
Handle images in 70+ formats, including HEIC and PSD, without sending them to a third-party service.
Remove backgrounds from images directly on your own server.
Everything runs offline on your server — no image data leaves it.
Open the URL and start converting — QA verified an AVIF conversion and download with no sign-in step.
The file-list, force-cleanup and log endpoints return 403 to visitors by default.
Uploads through the site are accepted up to 1 GB per request.
Managed hosting for Imgcompress, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
You drop a batch of images into the page, compress them in parallel, and download smaller files for a website or an email.
You turn HEIC photos into WebP, PSD files into JPG, or a batch of images into a paginated PDF without installing converters.
You cut the background from a personal or client photo with a model that runs on your own server, so the file never leaves it.
Colleagues open the same address to convert files, with access restricted by Basic Authentication if the tool should not be public.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Yes. Imgcompress is open source under GPL-3.0, with the licence file for the pinned release_0.9.0 tag linked above, so keep the notices and share source for modified versions. xCloud bills for the Cloud VPS under it, not for Imgcompress, and there is no per-image fee.
Yes, and this Imgcompress Docker hosting template does it for you: the karimz1/imgcompress image, pinned by digest, runs as one container with every codec bundled on your own server, with HTTPS in front of port 5000. It is not an Imgcompress cloud account, so images stay on your server.
Imgcompress asks for no less than 2048 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 5 GB of disk. Background removal runs a model per CPU worker and can use significant memory on large images. This page sells the 6 GB tier, which leaves headroom for bulk jobs.
No. There is no login and no admin account by design, so anyone who can open the URL can upload images and use the server's CPU and disk. Add Basic Authentication in front of the site if it should not be public. Uploads are deleted after about an hour.
No. Upstream describes it as running entirely offline in one container with no cloud calls, and background removal uses a bundled model on your own CPU. Images are processed on your server and kept only in temporary storage until the hourly cleanup removes them.
Yes. Upstream lists local AI background removal with a bundled model that needs no API key or subscription. It runs a model per CPU worker, which can use significant memory on large images, so test your photo sizes first and expect slower results on small servers.
The app itself accepts very large uploads, but the site's web proxy limits request bodies to 1 GB, and very long uploads can also hit proxy timeouts. Split huge batches into smaller ones. Uploads and results are kept in temporary storage for about an hour.
The template sets DISABLE_STORAGE_MANAGEMENT=true, so file-list, cleanup and log endpoints return 403 to visitors. A malformed upload can return a 500 with a Python traceback, and a file dropped before the format list loads can be rejected. Both are upstream behaviour.
Nothing: there is no database and no volume, so there is no data volume to back up. Uploads and results live in temporary container storage and are deleted after about an hour. Keep your own copies of the converted files you want to keep.
The pinned 0.9.0 image on your running install is untouched by catalog updates; you opt in to a newer template version. Read the upstream release notes first, then upload and convert a test image after the move. There is no stored data to migrate.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
