Nginx UI Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Nginx UI hosting and manage nginx configuration from a browser on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Nginx UI v2.8.4 image as a single container with SQLite, creates the admin account from a generated password, keeps the nginx configuration and the app database on persistent volumes and publishes the interface over HTTPS.

What is Nginx UI?

Nginx UI is a web interface for managing nginx. You edit configuration files and virtual hosts in a browser, test and reload them, manage certificates, read logs and use a built-in terminal.

nginx and Nginx UI run together in one container with an SQLite database. Nginx UI is licensed under AGPL-3.0.

From Sign-Up to a Live nginx Console In Just 3 Easy Steps

An nginx management console normally means a container, an admin account, volumes for the configuration and the database, a domain and a certificate before the first edit. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Nginx UI from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Nginx UI image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with SQLite, mount the nginx_config volume for /etc/nginx and the nginx_ui_data volume for /etc/nginx-ui, create the admin account from a generated 20-character password and publish the interface over HTTPS.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Change The Password

Save the admin password from the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Nginx UI URL (allow about a minute on the first start while the bundled nginx configuration is seeded) and sign in as admin. Change the admin password inside Nginx UI, then create your first configuration.

Everything Nginx UI Does, On Your Own Server

Nginx UI runs in full here: an nginx management interface on your own domain, with the configuration kept on volumes you own.

  • Web Config Editor

Edit nginx configuration files and virtual hosts in a web editor, with nginx syntax testing.

  • Certificates, Logs And Terminal

Certificate management, log viewing and a built-in terminal in one interface.

  • Optional AI Assistant

Get configuration help from an AI assistant, enabled by adding your own API token.

  • Admin Created At Install

The first admin account is created at install with a generated password, so there is no open first-run screen; unauthenticated API calls return 403 and the install screen is locked.

  • Light Footprint

About 85 to 89 MiB measured on QA, as a single container with SQLite.

  • Configuration That Persists

After an xCloud Restart, configuration files you created, the login database and the session still work.

What You Can Do With Nginx UI

  • Edit nginx without SSH

Change configuration files and virtual hosts in a web editor with syntax testing.

  • Keep certificates and logs together

Manage certificates and read logs from the same interface as the configuration.

  • Get configuration help

Add your own API token to enable the optional AI assistant.

  • A browser terminal

Use the built-in terminal for quick commands inside the container.

Nginx UI vs Alternatives

Editing nginx config over SSH
The usual route is editing files in a terminal. Nginx UI adds a web editor with syntax testing, certificates, logs and a terminal behind one login.
Nginx Proxy Manager
A web UI for proxy hosts. Nginx UI instead exposes the nginx configuration files themselves, so you edit the real config rather than a form.
xCloud's own nginx settings
xCloud manages the nginx in front of your sites. Nginx UI is a separate nginx inside its own container, and virtual hosts you create there are not published to the internet.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

Use admin and the generated password shown in the protected installation credentials. The verification run confirmed that unauthenticated API calls return 403, a bad login is refused and the install screen is locked.

Can I serve my own sites from it?

Virtual hosts you create inside Nginx UI run inside the container and are not published to the internet; only the Nginx UI address is reachable.

Is the admin password safe in the logs?

The upstream image prints its environment, including the initial password, into the container log at start. Rotate the password in the UI after first sign-in and limit who can read logs; editing the environment value later does not change an existing account.

What can a signed-in administrator do?

Edit nginx configuration and open a root terminal in the container, so treat the admin password as a root credential. Optionally put Basic Auth or an IP allow-list in front of the site.

What runs alongside it?

Nothing else. nginx and Nginx UI run in one container with an SQLite database.

What was not verified?

ACME certificate issuance, the terminal and the AI assistant were not exercised in the verification run.

What should I back up?

Both volumes together: nginx_config (/etc/nginx) and nginx_ui_data (/etc/nginx-ui, holding app.ini and the SQLite database). Keep the rendered environment with the backup since it holds the initial password.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Nginx UI?

No. The template pins Nginx UI v2.8.4 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release and existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 85 to 89 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with headroom above that baseline.

What survives a restart?

Configuration files you created, the login database and the session still work after an xCloud Restart, because both volumes are persistent.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Nginx UI?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Nginx UI project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Nginx UI project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
