Novu Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Novu hosting on xCloud puts notification workflows and an in-app inbox on your own server. xCloud runs the pinned Novu 3.19.0 images with the API, dashboard and websocket service on their own HTTPS domains, a private worker, MongoDB 8.0 and Redis 7, generated secrets and persistent volumes — so subscribers, workflows and notification history stay on a server you control.

What is Novu?

Novu is open-source notification infrastructure. It gives your product one API for sending notifications through in-app inbox, email, SMS, push and chat, plus a dashboard for building workflows and templates and managing subscribers, topics and activity.

On xCloud the community edition runs on your own server: the API, dashboard and websocket service each get an HTTPS domain, while the worker, MongoDB and Redis stay private. Accounts, workflows, subscribers and notification history are kept on persistent volumes.

From Sign-Up to a Live Notification Dashboard In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Novu stack normally means an API, a dashboard, a websocket service, a worker, MongoDB, Redis, secrets and three domains with certificates before the first workflow. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Novu from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the Novu API, dashboard, websocket service and worker from the official images pinned by immutable digest, with MongoDB 8.0 and Redis 7 kept off the public internet, mount the mongodb_data and redis_data volumes, generate the secrets, and publish the API, Dashboard and WebSocket over HTTPS on their own domains.

  3. Step 03

Create Your Account And First Workflow

Save the protected credentials, including the provider credentials encryption key, then open the Dashboard address and create your account — the first account starts your organization. Add an email, SMS, push or chat provider under Integrations and build a workflow.

Everything Novu Does, On Your Own Server

Novu runs in full here: the API your apps call, a dashboard for workflows and subscribers, and a real-time inbox service, backed by databases you own.

  • One API For Every Channel

Trigger notifications across in-app inbox, email, SMS, push and chat through a single API instead of wiring up each provider separately.

  • Workflows And Templates

Build notification workflows in the dashboard, with per-channel conditions, digests to batch several notifications into one, and a no-code email editor.

  • Real-Time In-App Inbox

A dedicated websocket service powers the embeddable inbox component, so new notifications appear in your product as they are sent.

  • Subscribers And Preferences

Manage subscribers and topics from the dashboard, and let users control their own notifications with the embeddable preferences component.

  • Background Delivery Worker

A worker processes and delivers notification jobs, with queued and delayed jobs kept on the redis_data volume.

  • Private MongoDB And Redis

The database and queue are reachable only inside the install's private network, with no published ports.

Everything You Need To Run Your Notifications 24/7

Managed hosting for Novu, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Novu 3.19.0 deployed instantly
  • Official images pinned by digest
  • Secrets and keys generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations

What You Can Do With Novu

  • Add an in-app notification inbox

Give your product a real-time inbox backed by the websocket service, without building the delivery plumbing yourself.

  • Send email, SMS, push and chat from one place

Trigger every channel through a single API and connect the providers you already use under Integrations.

  • Batch noisy events into digests

Collect several events into one message with workflow digests instead of sending a notification per event.

  • Keep notification data on your own server

Subscribers, workflows and notification history live in MongoDB on a server you control.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

Open the Dashboard address shown in the credentials and create the first account; it starts your organization.

What runs alongside Novu?

A worker, MongoDB 8.0 and Redis 7, all private to the server with no published ports. The API, Dashboard and WebSocket each have their own xCloud-managed HTTPS domain.

Can anyone sign up?

Sign-up is open until you set DISABLE_USER_REGISTRATION=true in the Environment editor and redeploy; each account gets its own separate organization. Invite your teammates first, because the setting may also stop invited teammates from registering.

How do I add email, SMS, push or chat providers?

Add them under Integrations in the Dashboard after you sign in. Novu has no mail settings in its environment.

What should I back up?

The mongodb_data and redis_data volumes, plus the stable .env values JWT_SECRET, STORE_ENCRYPTION_KEY and NOVU_SECRET_KEY. Changing STORE_ENCRYPTION_KEY makes saved provider credentials unreadable.

Can I change the domains later?

Keep the API domain fixed: webhook and provider callback URLs are built from it. The Dashboard and WebSocket domains can change freely.

Can I upload images in the email editor?

Not until you configure object storage separately; everything else works without it.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Novu?

No. The template pins Novu 3.19.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 2 CPU cores, 2048 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk. Measured idle use in QA was about 1.4 GB, with a short peak near 3 GB while the API starts. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

What survives a restart?

Accounts, workflows, subscribers and notification history survive an xCloud Restart, because the database and queue sit on the persistent mongodb_data and redis_data volumes.

What licence is Novu under?

The template deploys the community edition built from the upstream 3.19.0 release, under the MIT licence. Enterprise-only features of Novu Cloud, such as managed SSO, analytics storage and hosted AI features, are not part of the community images.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Novu?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Novu project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Novu project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
