Deploy TaskTrove on xCloud and get TaskTrove hosting for a private task manager on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned official image as a single container, creates your account during install from a generated password, mounts persistent volumes for your data and backups, and publishes the interface over HTTPS in minutes, ready for projects, labels and kanban or calendar views.
TaskTrove is a self-hosted task manager that upstream pitches around complete privacy. A self-hosted TaskTrove gives you natural-language task creation, unlimited subtasks, recurring tasks, projects with sections and colour-coded labels, several views and a REST API, as an alternative to a hosted to-do service such as Todoist. Storage is a file-based JSON format for easy backups. It is licensed under the Sustainable Use License rather than an open-source licence.
On xCloud the install runs TaskTrove v0.12.4 as one container, pinned by digest, with no database. Everything lives in a single data.json file on the tasktrove_data volume, with tasktrove_backups for backups. It is a single-user app: whoever signs in has full access, with no teams or roles. The license allows your own internal business purposes only, and forbids reselling it as a service.
A self-hosted task manager normally means a container, a data volume, a session secret, a first account, a domain and a certificate before the first task. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick TaskTrove from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, and optionally set the username; leave the password empty to have one generated.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official TaskTrove image as a single container, pinned by immutable digest, mount the tasktrove_data and tasktrove_backups volumes, generate the session secret, create your account and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the password shown in the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS TaskTrove URL and sign in. Create your first task or project, and change the password in Settings if you like.
TaskTrove runs in full here: a task workspace on your own domain, with your data in a volume you own.
Organise work into projects, tag it with labels and narrow the list down with filters.
Look at the same work as a list, a kanban board, a board or a calendar, whichever suits the job.
Break a task into subtasks and set reminders so nothing slips past its date.
Create tasks from your own scripts and automations through TaskTrove's REST API on the same HTTPS URL.
TaskTrove stores everything in a single data file on the tasktrove_data volume, so there is no database container to run or secure.
Use TaskTrove's own export under Settings, Data to keep copies of your tasks outside the server.
Managed hosting for TaskTrove, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Keep tasks in your own workspace on a domain you control instead of in a hosted app.
Group tasks into projects and labels, then filter and switch between list, kanban, board and calendar views as the work changes.
Split a task into subtasks and add reminders, so each step has a visible due point.
Create tasks from your own scripts and tools through the REST API on the same HTTPS URL, instead of typing them by hand.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is TaskTrove Docker hosting without the setup. Upstream recommends Docker; here xCloud runs the pinned ghcr.io TaskTrove v0.12.4 image as one container, mounts two volumes, creates your account from a generated password and publishes HTTPS on your domain.
The template asks for 128 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 2 GB of disk as a floor, and QA measured about 85 MiB idle and 120 MiB after use. The 6 GB plan is the entry rung here, which leaves plenty of room for other apps.
Use the username and password shown in the protected installation credentials. The account is created during install, so nobody can claim it before you do. Allow about a minute for the first start while the data file is created.
TaskTrove is single-user: whoever signs in has full access to every task, project and the API, and there is no team or role model. Keep the password private, and add Basic Auth in front if you want an extra gate.
No. It is a single container that stores all tasks, projects and settings in one data.json file on the tasktrove_data volume, together with uploaded assets of up to 10 MB each. That keeps backups and transfers simple.
Not from the install settings. The username and password there are only used to create the account on the first start of an empty data volume, so change the password inside TaskTrove. Never leave AUTH_SECRET empty, or authentication turns off.
Back up both volumes, tasktrove_data and tasktrove_backups, or use TaskTrove's own export under Settings, Data to keep copies outside the server. Keep AUTH_SECRET stable, because changing it signs everyone out and ends their sessions immediately, so store it with the backup.
TaskTrove v0.12.4 stays pinned until you adopt a newer template version. Read the upstream release notes and back up both volumes first. Existing sites are not upgraded automatically, and a redeploy keeps the data file on its volume.
Not in the usual sense. It is licensed under the Sustainable Use License, which limits TaskTrove to your own internal business purposes, and files marked .pro. need a separate TaskTrove Pro licence. The source is available; read the LICENSE file before commercial use.
No. The Sustainable Use License limits TaskTrove to your own internal business purposes and does not allow reselling it as a service. Running it for your own tasks, or for your own company, is the intended use of this template.
Not through this page. Your task data sits in one file on a Cloud VPS that xCloud prepares, on a volume you own, with the sign-in created during install and no vendor account involved, so the data stays under your control.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
