Deploy Planka on xCloud and get Planka hosting for real-time Kanban boards with projects, lists and cards, on a server you control. xCloud runs the pinned official image beside a private PostgreSQL database, generates the administrator password, mounts persistent volumes for attachments and the database, and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain. Planka is fair-code, free to self-host for internal use.
Planka is a real-time collaborative Kanban board for project management: projects, boards, lists, cards and tasks with drag-and-drop, Markdown card descriptions and attachments. A self-hosted Planka syncs changes between users instantly, with notifications through more than 100 providers per upstream, as an alternative to a hosted Kanban service such as Trello. It is fair-code and source-available under the Fair Use License, not open source.
On xCloud the install runs Planka 2.2.1 with a private PostgreSQL 16 database, both pinned by digest, behind HTTPS on your domain. Two volumes hold the state: planka_data for attachments, avatars and backgrounds, and planka_db for the database. You enter the administrator email at install, xCloud generates the password, and self-registration is not available, so only people an administrator adds can sign in.
Self-hosting Planka normally means wiring up Docker, a PostgreSQL database, a reverse proxy and a TLS certificate before a single board exists. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Planka from the OneClick catalog, choose a domain, and enter the administrator email you want to sign in with.
Step 02
One click. We provision the server, bring up the pinned Planka image alongside its PostgreSQL database, publish it over HTTPS on your domain, and run the first migrations.
Step 03
Save the generated administrator password from your protected installation credentials, sign in, accept the terms, and create your first project and board.
Planka runs in full here — your boards, cards and attachments sit on infrastructure you control, not a third party's.
Organise work as projects, boards, lists and cards with tasks, comments and attachments — the Kanban workflow your team already knows.
Changes sync live between users: a card added in one browser appears in another without a reload, over your own HTTPS proxy.
Write card descriptions in Markdown, and get notifications through many providers per upstream once you wire them up.
Self-registration is off. Only administrators create users, so nobody joins a board by accident.
PostgreSQL runs alongside Planka, reachable only from the Planka container — never exposed on a public port.
Attachments, avatars and backgrounds sit on one volume and the database on another, both surviving a verified restart.
Managed hosting for Planka, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Organise projects into boards, lists and cards with tasks and comments, and drag cards across lists as work moves along.
Have updates sync instantly between users, so a card added in one browser appears in another without a reload.
Store card attachments, avatars and backgrounds on a volume you control rather than in a vendor's storage.
Create users from the administration area so nobody joins a board by accident, since self-registration is not available.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is Planka Docker hosting without the setup: the official ghcr.io Planka 2.2.1 image and a private PostgreSQL 16 container, both pinned by digest, with two named volumes, generated secrets and HTTPS on your own domain.
A fresh install used about 190 MB, and the template's minimum is 512 MB of RAM, one CPU core and 5 GB of disk. The 6 GB plan is the entry rung, with room for big attachment collections.
Use the administrator email you entered at install and the generated 24-character password from the protected credentials. Accept the terms on first login, because other users cannot sign in until an administrator has done so. The first start can take a minute or two.
No. Self-registration is not available, so administrators create other users from the administration area. Note that the default administrator email, name and password are re-applied on every restart, so changing them inside Planka is reverted.
Not until you configure SMTP yourself, because no email goes out of the box. Upstream lists notifications through more than 100 providers, which you wire up in the app. SMTP keys are omitted from the template's environment by default.
Check the licence first. Planka is fair-code under the Fair Use License, which permits internal, personal and non-profit use; operating it as a hosted service for third parties for commercial gain needs a separate commercial licence from the upstream project.
Back up planka_data, which holds attachments, avatars and backgrounds, and planka_db, which holds the PostgreSQL database, together. Use pg_dump for a consistent database copy, keep off-server copies and test restores. Never use docker compose down -v.
Version 2.2.1 stays pinned until you move to a newer template version. Copy both volumes first, then read upstream's notes carefully. It is a security release, so never roll back to an older image, and keep both volumes backed up before any change.
For self-hosting, yes: Planka is free to run for internal, personal and non-profit use under the Fair Use License, and upstream also sells hosted and Pro versions. You pay xCloud for the dedicated Cloud VPS that runs it.
Not strictly. Upstream calls Planka fair-code: the source code is always visible and you can self-host and extend it, but it is distributed under the Fair Use License and a Pro and Enterprise License rather than an open-source licence.
Upstream sells its own hosted and Pro versions, which is a different offering. On xCloud your own Planka instead runs on a dedicated Cloud VPS that we provision, keeping boards in a database you own.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Your projects, your server, your rules — live in a few minutes. Create your first board today.
