What is Teable?

Teable is a no-code collaborative database and spreadsheet platform for relational data, forms, dashboards and operational workflows. A self-hosted Teable gives you a spreadsheet-like interface with grid, form, kanban, gallery and calendar views, formulas, filtering, grouping, sorting, aggregation, import and export and real-time collaboration, backed by a real PostgreSQL database. The code is AGPL-3.0 with Section 7 brand-protection terms, and some utility packages are MIT.

Can you self-host Teable with Docker?

Yes, and this template is Teable Docker hosting without the setup: the vendor-published release image, PostgreSQL 15.4 and Redis 7.2.4, all pinned by digest, with three named volumes, generated secrets and HTTPS on your domain. Only the Teable port is published.

How much RAM does Teable need?

The template asks for 4 GB of RAM, 2 CPU cores and 20 GB of disk as a floor for Teable alongside PostgreSQL and Redis. That leaves little headroom on a 6 GB plan, so this page sells the 16 GB plan as the entry rung.

How do I sign in to Teable for the first time?

Nobody is pre-created. After installation, open the generated HTTPS URL and register the first account yourself, then create a space, a base and a table. Do this before sharing the URL with anyone else on your team.

Is realtime collaboration included in Teable?

Yes. Teable's realtime and caching layer runs on the private Redis instance provisioned for you, so several teammates can work in the same base and table at once with changes syncing live. Redis has no published port.

Are SMTP, SSO and automations set up for me in Teable?

No. None of those are configured automatically. Turn them on inside Teable only when you need them, and point them only at endpoints and credentials you trust, since outbound automations can reach other systems from your server.

Can I change my Teable domain later?

You can, but treat it as a reconfiguration, not a rename. The installation domain becomes Teable's PUBLIC_ORIGIN, so keep that setting on the final HTTPS URL and re-check any links, sign-in settings and integrations that referenced the old address.

What should I back up on a Teable server?

Back up teable_postgres, teable_assets and teable_redis together from the same point in time, in a quiesced window. PostgreSQL holds your relational data, assets holds uploads and Redis append-only data may hold automation queue state. Restore all three under the same project identity and check a login, a table and an attachment.

How do I upgrade Teable?

The pinned release and database images stay in place until you adopt a newer template version. Take a coordinated backup of all three volumes first and review the vendor's release notes. Existing sites are not upgraded automatically.

Is Teable free?

The core application is open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0 with Section 7 brand-protection terms, and some utility packages are MIT. Optional paid Teable capabilities exist separately. Your cost here is the dedicated Cloud VPS that runs the stack.

Can Teable import CSV and Excel files?

Upstream lists import and export among Teable's features; check the formats Teable offers for your file. The template does nothing special for it, so test a representative CSV or Excel file first, including large ones, since imports use memory and write to PostgreSQL.

Is there a Teable cloud service?

Upstream runs its own hosted Teable, which is a separate service. Your Teable stack runs on a Cloud VPS that xCloud prepares, with the database and uploads on volumes you own and registration done by you.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
