What is Teable?

Is Teable free?
The core application is free and open source under the GNU Affero General Public License v3 (AGPL-3.0), with some utility packages under MIT. Optional paid Teable capabilities and Teable's own hosted service are not included by this template — what you pay xCloud for is the dedicated server and the management around it.
Can I self-host Teable?
Yes — that is exactly what this template deploys. It brings up the official Teable image alongside a private PostgreSQL and a private Redis, all three pinned by immutable digest, mounts three persistent volumes and publishes it over HTTPS on your domain in minutes instead of assembled by hand.
Who becomes the administrator, and how do I sign in?
Nobody is pre-created. After installation, open the generated HTTPS URL and register the first account yourself — that account is created the moment you sign up, not generated or shown to you in a credentials panel.
What does xCloud configure automatically?
A private PostgreSQL database and a private Redis instance with generated, coordinated passwords, an application secret key, all three persistent volumes, the domain, and the HTTPS route. Only the Teable application is published — PostgreSQL and Redis stay private on the internal network.
Is realtime collaboration included?
Yes. Teable's realtime and caching layer runs on the private Redis instance provisioned for you, so multiple teammates can work in the same base and table at once with changes syncing live — no extra setup required.
What should I back up?
teable_postgres, teable_assets and teable_redis together, from the same point in time. teable_postgres holds your relational data — workspaces, bases, tables and records; teable_assets holds uploaded attachments; teable_redis holds append-only cache and realtime state. A database-only backup is not a complete instance backup.
Does xCloud automatically back up or update Teable?
No. The template pins Teable, PostgreSQL and Redis by immutable digest; a catalog re-sync affects new installations only. Before changing any pinned image, take a coordinated backup of all three volumes and review every skipped Teable release and migration note, then verify login, realtime collaboration, attachments and representative records afterward.
What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 16 GB?
The template manifest asks for 4 GB of RAM, two CPU cores and 20 GB of disk as a floor for Teable alongside PostgreSQL and Redis. That leaves very little headroom on a 6 GB server once the operating system is up, so this page sells the 16 GB tier as the entry rung with real room for bases, tables and attachments to grow.
What survives a restart?
Everything on teable_assets, teable_postgres and teable_redis, because all three are persistent named volumes. Restarting the containers or running an xCloud lifecycle action does not touch your bases, tables, records, attachments or realtime state.
Are SMTP, SSO, external storage and automations set up for me?
No — none of those are configured automatically. Turn them on inside Teable only when you need them, and only point them at endpoints and credentials you trust, since outbound automations and integrations can reach systems outside your server.
Can I change my domain later?
You can, but treat it as a real reconfiguration, not a rename. The installation domain becomes Teable's configured public origin (PUBLIC_ORIGIN); changing it later means updating that setting and re-checking anywhere the old URL was shared. Choose your final domain before inviting your team.
Is xCloud officially partnered with Teable?
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and Teable has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Teable project.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
