TeamMapper hosting on xCloud lets you deploy TeamMapper, an open-source mind-mapping web app with realtime editing, on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned vendor image with a private PostgreSQL database on a persistent volume, generates the database credentials and signing secret and publishes it over HTTPS. You choose how many days inactive maps are kept, and share each map by a view-only or an edit link.
TeamMapper is a mind-mapping web app, described upstream as mindmapping made simple: host and create your own mindmaps. You customise nodes with images, colours, fonts and links, share a map through a view-only or an edit invite or a QR code, and edit together in realtime over websockets. It imports and exports JSON, Mermaid, SVG, PDF and PNG. A self-hosted TeamMapper is a set of collaborative mind maps on your own server. It is MIT licensed.
On xCloud it is TeamMapper 0.2.9-3, the vendor image pinned by digest, with a private PostgreSQL 15 database in the teammapper_db_data volume. There are no user accounts: a map is reached through its links, so anyone holding the edit link can edit it. A daily cleanup job deletes maps that stay inactive for the number of days you set at install.
Self-hosting a collaborative mind-mapping app normally means a container, a database, sharing-link logic, a retention job, a domain and a certificate before a single node gets drawn. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick TeamMapper from the OneClick catalog. Enter a site title, choose your domain and target server, and set the map-retention period — or keep the 3650-day default.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official TeamMapper 0.2.9-3 image alongside a private PostgreSQL 15.12 database — both pinned by immutable digest — mount the teammapper_db_data volume, generate database credentials and a signing secret, and publish the app over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Open the generated HTTPS URL, create your first mind map, and add a node to confirm realtime editing and persistence. Copy the writable link for collaborators and the view-only link for readers, then verify each behaves as intended.
TeamMapper runs in full here — realtime collaborative mind maps, sharing links, import/export and persistence, on infrastructure you control.
Create and edit mind maps in the browser with collaborators, without depending on a third-party hosted mapping service.
Share a read-only link when recipients should only view a map, and keep the writable link private for people who may edit it.
Move maps in and out of TeamMapper for easier migration, sharing with people off the platform, and long-term archival.
There are no user accounts to manage — access to a map is controlled entirely by which link, view or edit, you hold and share.
Set how long inactive maps are kept before TeamMapper's own cleanup job removes them, from the install form or the Environment editor.
Maps, nodes and sharing metadata live in a PostgreSQL instance with no public port — only the TeamMapper web app is exposed.
Managed hosting for TeamMapper, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Open one map with colleagues and add nodes at the same time, so a planning session or workshop ends with a shared map instead of separate notes.
Send the view-only link or QR code to clients or students, and keep the edit link to yourself, so people can read a map without changing it.
Export a map as SVG, PDF or PNG for a document, or as JSON or Mermaid for other tools, and import an existing JSON map to keep working.
Store every map in your own PostgreSQL database with a retention period you choose, rather than on a hosted whiteboard service.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

TeamMapper asks for 1024 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 10 GB of disk in its template, covering the app and PostgreSQL. The 6 GB plan leaves headroom above that floor for larger maps and more collaborators.
Yes, and this template is teammapper docker hosting without the setup: the vendor image and PostgreSQL 15 pinned by digest, one database volume, generated credentials and a signing secret, and HTTPS on your own domain.
Yes. Upstream runs shared sessions over websockets, so everyone with the edit link sees changes in realtime. Give the view-only link to people who should only read the map.
Each map has an edit link and a view-only link, and there are no user accounts. Keep the edit link private, because anyone who holds it can change the map. Hand out the view-only link to people who should only read it; upstream also offers QR-code sharing.
Upstream lists JSON, Mermaid, SVG, PDF and PNG for import and export. Use SVG, PDF or PNG for documents and JSON or Mermaid to move a map between tools or keep a copy outside the database.
For mind maps, yes. Upstream describes a simple app to host and create your own maps and makes no comparison with Miro or MindMeister. It is not a general whiteboard, and you run the server and backups yourself.
Yes. TeamMapper uses the MIT licence, so there is nothing to buy for the software. Only the Cloud VPS is billed, and this TeamMapper cloud install keeps every map in your own database.
Back up the teammapper_db_data volume, which holds the PostgreSQL database with all maps and sharing metadata, before upgrades. Keep the JWT secret unchanged for the life of the install, and export important maps as JSON too.
TeamMapper stays on its pinned 0.2.9-3 image until a newer template version is adopted. Back up the teammapper_db_data volume beforehand and check the release notes. No upgrade runs automatically.
For the number of days you set in Map retention at install; the template default is 3650. A daily cleanup job deletes maps inactive for longer than that. Change the value in the Environment editor and redeploy if you need it shorter.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
