Trailarr Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Trailarr hosting and keep trailers for your Radarr and Sonarr libraries in one place. xCloud runs the pinned Trailarr 0.13.1 image as a single container, generates the web UI password and API key, mounts persistent volumes for settings and downloaded trailers, and publishes the interface over HTTPS in minutes.

What is Trailarr?

Trailarr is a self-hosted app to download and manage trailers for your media libraries. It connects to your Radarr and Sonarr instances, reads the movies and shows they track, and downloads a trailer for each title.

Trailers are saved next to the media files and named following Plex conventions, which also work with Emby and Jellyfin. Downloading is handled by yt-dlp and video processing by FFmpeg.

From Sign-Up to a Live Trailarr In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Trailarr install normally means a container, a config volume, a media volume, a login, a domain and a certificate before the first trailer. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Trailarr from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, set the web UI username and timezone; the password is generated for you.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the community Trailarr image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with the trailarr_config and trailarr_media volumes mounted, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain with the generated password and API key shown in the protected installation credentials.

  3. Step 03

    Connect Radarr And Sonarr

Open your HTTPS Trailarr URL and sign in; the first start migrates the database and can take a minute or two. Then add Radarr and/or Sonarr under Settings, Connections with their URL and API key, and check the path mapping.

Everything Trailarr Does, On Your Own Server

Trailarr runs in full here: a web interface and API on your own domain that finds and downloads trailers for the titles in your libraries.

  • Radarr And Sonarr Connections

Connect one or more Radarr and Sonarr instances by URL and API key and sync the movies and shows in your libraries.

  • Automatic Trailer Downloads

Trailers are downloaded through yt-dlp and saved next to your media files; existing trailers are detected and duplicates skipped.

  • Custom Profiles

Profiles control the quality, format and processing options for the trailers you download.

  • Plex, Emby And Jellyfin Naming

Files follow Plex naming conventions out of the box, which also work with Emby and Jellyfin.

  • A Web UI To Browse Your Library

Browse your synced library and manage the trailer for each movie or show from the browser.

  • Generated Login And API Key

The web UI uses a generated password rather than the upstream default, and the API requires a key. Both are shown in the protected installation credentials.

Everything You Need To Run Your Trailer Manager 24/7

Managed hosting for Trailarr, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Trailarr 0.13.1 deployed instantly
  • Community image pinned by digest
  • Generated password and API key
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Trailarr

  • Add trailers to a Radarr movie library

Sync your movies from Radarr and download a trailer for individual titles, saved next to the movie files.

  • Add trailers to a Sonarr series library

Connect Sonarr and fetch trailers for the shows it tracks, using the same profiles and path mapping.

  • Offer local extras to Plex, Emby or Jellyfin

Because trailers sit beside the media files with Plex-style names, a media server pointed at the same folders can pick them up as local extras.

  • Keep the web UI and API on your own domain

Run the interface behind HTTPS with a generated login and an API key, instead of exposing a container port yourself.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What does Trailarr do?

Trailarr reads your Radarr and Sonarr libraries and downloads trailers for each title, saving them next to your media files. This template deploys version 0.13.1.

How do I sign in?

Use the username you set during installation and the generated password from the protected installation credentials. A generated API key is shown there too.

How do I connect Radarr or Sonarr?

Open Settings, Connections in Trailarr and add each instance with its URL and API key, then check the path mapping so the media paths they report match folders inside the Trailarr container.

Can my Radarr or Sonarr on another xCloud site use the trailers?

Not by default. Each site has its own volumes, and trailers land in this install's /media volume (folders /media/movies and /media/tv), which Radarr, Sonarr and media servers on other sites cannot see unless an administrator mounts shared media into the container.

Where do trailers come from?

Downloads come from YouTube through yt-dlp. In xCloud's QA run, the install had outbound access and downloaded a trailer for a synced movie.

Does it need a GPU?

No. Video conversion uses software ffmpeg only, and there is no GPU acceleration on this install.

How do I change the password or API key?

The username, password and API key are applied on every start, so a password changed inside Trailarr is reverted on the next restart. Edit the values in the Environment editor and redeploy, and keep them private.

What should I back up?

The trailarr_config volume, which holds databases, logs and backups (Trailarr also writes a database copy to /config/backups on every start), and the trailarr_media volume if you want to keep downloaded trailers.

What survives a restart?

Settings, the database and downloaded trailers live in the trailarr_config and trailarr_media named volumes, and they survived an xCloud Restart in QA.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Trailarr?

No. The template pins Trailarr 0.13.1 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the version tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 120 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Trailarr?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Trailarr project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Trailarr project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
