TubeSync Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy TubeSync hosting and keep a scheduled, self-hosted copy of the YouTube channels you follow. xCloud runs the pinned TubeSync v0.18.5 image as a single container with bundled SQLite, generates the web login, mounts persistent volumes for the configuration and the downloaded library, and publishes the interface over HTTPS in minutes. Only download content you are permitted to download.

What is TubeSync?

TubeSync is an open-source, self-hosted PVR for YouTube. You add channels and playlists as sources, and it indexes them on a schedule and downloads new videos, or audio only, into a media library folder.

The library layout is one that media servers such as Plex, Jellyfin and Emby can scan, so what you subscribe to ends up on your own server instead of depending on a remote service staying available.

From Sign-Up to a Running YouTube PVR In Just 3 Easy Steps

A TubeSync install normally means a container, volumes for config and downloads, a login in front of the interface, a domain and a certificate before the first channel is added. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick TubeSync from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then set the web login username (it defaults to admin).

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official TubeSync image, pinned by immutable digest, as a single container with bundled SQLite, mount the tubesync_config and tubesync_downloads volumes, generate a 24-character password, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Add Your First Source

Open your HTTPS TubeSync URL (the first start can take up to three minutes) and sign in at the browser prompt with the username and generated password. Add a channel or playlist URL as a source, pick a resolution and a schedule, and TubeSync starts indexing.

Everything TubeSync Does, On Your Own Server

TubeSync runs in full here: scheduled YouTube downloads into a library you own, behind a login, with nothing else to run beside it.

  • Channels And Playlists As Sources

Subscribe to YouTube channels and playlists and TubeSync indexes them on a schedule, picking up new uploads as they appear.

  • Automatic Video Or Audio Downloads

New videos, or audio only, are downloaded automatically with yt-dlp, at the resolution you choose per source.

  • A Library For Plex, Jellyfin Or Emby

Downloads are saved into a media library folder structure that Plex, Jellyfin or Emby can scan.

  • One Container, No Database Service

The web server, workers and PO-token helper run in one container with SQLite, so there is no separate database to run or secure.

  • Login In Front Of Everything

The whole interface sits behind a generated Basic Auth login, so adding sources, triggering downloads and deleting media all need credentials.

  • Persistent Config And Downloads

tubesync_config holds the database, cache, thumbnails and cookies.txt; tubesync_downloads holds the library. Both are persistent named volumes.

Everything You Need To Run Your YouTube PVR 24/7

Managed hosting for TubeSync, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • TubeSync v0.18.5 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • Generated 24-character login
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With TubeSync

  • Keep a copy of channels you follow

Add a channel as a source and let TubeSync fetch new uploads on a schedule, so the library keeps growing without manual downloads.

  • Feed a Plex, Jellyfin or Emby library

Point your media server at the downloads folder and watch YouTube subscriptions alongside the rest of your collection.

  • Listen to channels as audio

Choose audio only for a source when you want podcasts, talks or music from a channel without the video files.

  • Archive playlists on your own disk

Subscribe to a playlist and keep its videos in a library you control, with the download history stored alongside.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in?

Use the username you chose at install (default admin) and the generated password from the protected installation credentials when the browser prompts. TubeSync has no accounts of its own; the Basic Auth login protects the whole interface.

What runs alongside TubeSync?

Nothing else. The web server, workers and PO-token helper run in the one container, with SQLite for data, so there is no separate database service.

Can I use it with Plex, Jellyfin or Emby?

TubeSync saves downloads into a library folder structure those media servers can scan.

Who can see or change my sources and downloads?

Only people with the login. Anyone with it can add sources, trigger downloads and delete downloaded media, so share it only with people you trust.

Why is the Logs link in the menu dead?

The upstream /web-logs/ viewer is served outside the password check, so the template disables it and the Logs link returns 404 by design. Read container output with docker logs instead.

Why is the first start slow, and what if YouTube blocks it?

The first start runs migrations and sets up the PO-token helper, which can take up to three minutes. YouTube may also rate-limit (HTTP 429) a datacenter IP, which delayed first indexing in QA; if it asks for a sign-in, place a Netscape-format cookies.txt at /config/cookies.txt.

What should I back up?

Both volumes: tubesync_config (sources and download history) and tubesync_downloads (the media files). Back them up while the container is stopped; restoring only the config volume makes TubeSync download everything again.

How much disk do I need?

Downloads grow quickly, so size the disk for the library you expect. The template's baseline asks for 10 GB of disk before any downloads.

What survives a restart?

Sources, download history and downloaded files live in persistent named volumes and survived a restart in QA.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update TubeSync?

No. The template pins TubeSync v0.18.5 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 1024 MB of RAM and 10 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 564 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

Is xCloud officially partnered with TubeSync?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the TubeSync project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source TubeSync project.

Can I download any video with it?

Only download content you are permitted to download.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
