Bazarr Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Bazarr hosting and run a self-hosted subtitle manager that finds and downloads subtitles for the series and movies your Sonarr and Radarr already manage, in the languages you choose. xCloud starts the pinned LinuxServer image, creates the administrator with Forms sign-in, keeps settings and the database on a config volume and publishes the interface over HTTPS. It starts with no providers or Sonarr and Radarr connected.

What is Bazarr?

Bazarr is a companion application to Sonarr and Radarr that manages and downloads subtitles based on your requirements, released under GPL-3.0. Upstream says you set preferences per show or movie, Bazarr scans your library for missing subtitles, keeps a history of what was downloaded, supports manual search, and upgrades subtitles when a better one is found. Self-hosted Bazarr is the option for people who would otherwise hunt for subtitles by hand on manual subtitle sites.

On xCloud the template runs the LinuxServer Bazarr 1.6.2 image, pinned by digest, as one container. Settings, the SQLite database, backups and logs sit on the bazarr_config volume, and media is mounted at /data. It bundles no subtitle provider, Sonarr or Radarr, and Bazarr does not scan the disk itself: it only manages items those tools index. Bazarr must see the same media files so it can write subtitles beside them.

From Sign-Up to a Live Bazarr Install In Just 3 Easy Steps

Self-hosting a subtitle manager normally means a container, a login, a domain and a writable media mount before a single subtitle can download. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account, pick Bazarr from the OneClick catalog, choose a domain, and set the administrator username and timezone. xCloud generates the password.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up Bazarr 1.6.2 with Forms sign-in turned on and anonymous usage analytics turned off, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Connect Sonarr, Radarr And Providers

Open the HTTPS Bazarr URL and sign in. Under Settings, add Sonarr and Radarr with their address and API key, then add subtitle providers and a language profile.

Everything Bazarr Does, On Your Own Server

Bazarr runs here with its subtitle search and download automation, on infrastructure you control.

  • Watches Your Sonarr And Radarr Library

Watches the series and movies managed by Sonarr and Radarr and searches subtitle providers for you.

  • Subtitles In The Languages You Pick

Downloads subtitles in the languages you choose, next to the media files.

  • Sign-In From The First Start

A generated administrator account and Forms sign-in are enabled from the first start, so settings are not left open to visitors.

  • Analytics Turned Off At Install

Anonymous usage analytics are turned off during installation.

  • Served Over Managed HTTPS

Served over xCloud-managed HTTPS; the app port is bound to localhost only.

  • Settings Survive A Restart

Settings, the database and the administrator sign-in all survive an xCloud Restart.

Everything You Need To Run Your Subtitles 24/7

Managed hosting for Bazarr, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Bazarr 1.6.2 deployed instantly
  • Forms sign-in enabled from first start
  • Anonymous usage analytics turned off
  • Connects to your own Sonarr and Radarr
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Bazarr

  • Subtitle every new episode automatically

As Sonarr adds new episodes, Bazarr picks them up and fetches subtitles in your chosen languages, so nothing waits for manual searching.

  • Fill the gaps in an existing library

Scan your existing library for missing internal and external subtitles and download any missing ones, with a history of what came from where.

  • Set languages per show or movie

Use language profiles to ask for different subtitle languages for different titles, including forced subtitles where providers offer them.

  • Replace weak subtitles over time

Let Bazarr upgrade a previously downloaded subtitle when a better one appears, and delete external subtitles from disk when you no longer want them.

Bazarr vs Alternatives

Manual subtitle sites
Searching subtitle sites by hand means one title at a time. Bazarr searches the providers you configure for every series and movie that Sonarr and Radarr manage, and keeps a history.
Sonarr
Sonarr has its own xCloud page and manages TV series. Bazarr does not replace it: it is the companion that adds subtitles to the series Sonarr manages.
Radarr
Radarr has its own xCloud page and manages movies. Bazarr works beside it, adding subtitles for the movies Radarr indexes in the languages you set.
Jellyfin
Jellyfin has its own xCloud page and plays your media. Bazarr writes subtitle files next to the videos, so a media server that reads them can show them.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

What is Bazarr used for?

Bazarr is used to fetch subtitles automatically for a media library. It watches the series and movies that Sonarr and Radarr manage, searches the subtitle providers you configure, and saves subtitles in your chosen languages next to the video files. It also keeps a history, upgrades weaker subtitles and lets you search manually.

Is Bazarr free and open source?

Yes. Bazarr is open source under the GPL-3.0 licence, and the LinuxServer packaging includes it under its upstream terms. There is no licence fee. On xCloud the bill is for the Cloud VPS carrying it. Subtitle providers you add may have their own accounts or limits, so use only those you are authorised to use.

Can you self-host Bazarr with Docker?

Yes. For Bazarr Docker hosting the template runs the LinuxServer bazarr 1.6.2 image, pinned by digest, as one container with a config volume and a media mount, plus HTTPS on your domain. It creates a Forms-based administrator and turns off anonymous usage analytics, so you do not write a compose file.

How much RAM does Bazarr need?

The manifest floor for Bazarr is 256 MB of RAM, one core and 5 GB of disk. The 6 GB plan on this page is ample. Subtitle synchronisation with ffmpeg and ffsubsync can spike memory on large files, so leave headroom if you enable it and share the server with Sonarr and Radarr.

Does Bazarr need Sonarr and Radarr?

Yes, in practice. Upstream says Bazarr does not scan your disk to detect series and movies; it only manages the ones indexed in Sonarr and Radarr. It starts with nothing connected, so you add each instance with its address and API key under Settings before Bazarr has anything to work on.

How do I connect Bazarr to Sonarr and Radarr?

Sign in, open Settings, and add Sonarr and Radarr with their address and API key. Then add subtitle providers and create a language profile, and assign that profile to your series and movies. The template bundles none of these services, so Sonarr and Radarr must already be reachable from this server.

How does Bazarr see my media files?

Bazarr writes subtitles next to the media files, so it must see the same files as Sonarr and Radarr. The /data mount is a private, empty named volume by default. To use existing media, set MEDIA_SOURCE in the environment to an absolute host folder that the container user can write, then redeploy.

How do I back up Bazarr?

Back up the complete bazarr_config volume while Bazarr is stopped or quiet. It holds config.yaml and the SQLite database, and Bazarr's own scheduled backups are written under its config folder too. Your media is a separate matter. Keep copies off-server and test a restore before relying on them.

How do I upgrade Bazarr?

Bazarr 1.6.2 is fixed by tag and digest, and its in-app updater is switched off, so only a template change moves it. Save bazarr_config, skim the Bazarr and LinuxServer release notes, choose a later template version, and then run one subtitle search to test it.

Is Bazarr password protected by default?

Bazarr ships with no sign-in, but the template creates an administrator with Forms sign-in during installation. If the settings ever appear without asking you to sign in, setup did not finish: open Settings, General, Security and set a username and password at once. Until then, anyone who reaches the address could change them.

Can I run Bazarr in the cloud on xCloud?

Yes. Bazarr cloud hosting runs on a dedicated Cloud VPS, with your domain and certificate attached. Remember that Sonarr and Radarr must reach the same media files that Bazarr writes subtitles beside. A machine rented from another provider can join as self-managed.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
