Deploy ClipCascade hosting and run your own clipboard sync server on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned ClipCascade server 0.7.0 image in a single container, replaces the upstream default password with a generated one, mounts persistent database and log volumes and publishes the web interface and client sync endpoint over HTTPS in minutes — your clipboard goes through a server you control, not a third party's.
ClipCascade is a lightweight, open-source utility that syncs your clipboard across multiple devices without manual input. It supports end-to-end encryption and runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
The server is the piece in the middle: your devices connect to it and it relays what you copy. Upstream offers a community server for people without one, or you can self-host the server from a Docker image, which is what this template deploys.
A ClipCascade server normally means a container, a changed default password, persistent volumes, a domain and a certificate before the first copy and paste. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick ClipCascade from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in, because xCloud generates the credentials.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the single ClipCascade container from the community image pinned by immutable digest, replace the upstream default admin password with a generated one before the app reports healthy, mount the clipcascade_database and clipcascade_logs volumes, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the admin password shown in the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS ClipCascade URL and sign in as admin. Then enter the server URL, username and password in the desktop or Android app and choose an end-to-end encryption passphrase — the same one on every device.
ClipCascade runs in full here: a sync server your Windows, macOS, Linux and Android clients connect to, with the data on volumes you own.
Copy on one device and paste on another: clipboard content updates across all connected devices in real time.
Clients encrypt clipboard content with a passphrase that only they know, so the server never sees it.
Upstream publishes apps for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, so one server covers the devices you actually use.
Upstream syncs text, images and files across its clients, with a configurable maximum message size.
A browser interface on your HTTPS domain to track clipboard activity and manage settings.
Self-registration is disabled, so the generated admin account is the only login until you choose to enable sign-up.
Managed hosting for ClipCascade, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Copy a link, a code or a snippet on your desktop and paste it on your Android device, without emailing it to yourself.
Point every client at your own HTTPS domain, so what you copy passes through a server you run rather than a public one.
Connect Windows, macOS, Linux and Android clients to the same server, instead of relying on one vendor's ecosystem.
Set the same end-to-end encryption passphrase in each client; it stays on your devices and never reaches the server.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Use the username admin and the generated password from the installation credentials, in the browser and in each client app.
With an end-to-end encryption passphrase set in the clients, contents are encrypted and the server cannot read them. The passphrase is never sent to the server, so use the same one on every device.
Not by default: sign-up is off, so the admin account is the only login. You can enable it in the environment settings.
Upstream ships admin / admin123. This template replaces it with a generated password on every start, before the app reports healthy, and QA confirmed the upstream default is rejected, including after restarts and a database reset.
Nothing else: it is a single container with no private services. Its web interface and client sync endpoint are published through xCloud-managed HTTPS and no other ports are opened.
Both volumes: clipcascade_database (the encrypted user database) and clipcascade_logs (application logs).
Yes, in the web interface. After you do, the installation credentials card still shows the original value, and editing ADMIN_PASSWORD in the environment has no effect.
No. DB_FILE_KEY and DB_USER_KEY encrypt the user database and are read only when it is first created; the existing database cannot be opened with different keys.
No. The desktop and Android apps connect straight to the server and cannot answer an extra HTTP login, so do not add one. The login page is visible to anyone who knows the address; clipboard contents are protected by your password and the client-side passphrase.
Upstream offers an optional peer-to-peer mode, but it needs a STUN server that clients can reach, some networks block it, and it was not tested on this template.
Users and settings, which live in the persistent clipcascade_database volume and survive an xCloud Restart.
No. The template pins ClipCascade server 0.7.0 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.
The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 340 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.
No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the ClipCascade project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source ClipCascade project, which is licensed under GPL-3.0.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No credit card required, and no plan you have to grow into.
