Cross-seed Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy Cross-seed hosting and keep a cross-seeding daemon running for your torrent client on your own domain. xCloud runs the official Cross-seed 6.13.7 image pinned by digest as a single container, generates a 48-character API key, mounts a persistent config volume and publishes the API over HTTPS in minutes — there is no web interface, just an API for autobrr, Sonarr/Radarr hooks and your client.

What is Cross-seed?

Cross-seed is a daemon that finds torrents in your torrent client that are also available on other trackers, using Torznab indexers, and injects the matches back into the client so the same data seeds in more places.

It has no web interface. It exposes a small HTTP API for webhooks, announce triggers and status, which you call from tools such as autobrr, Sonarr/Radarr hooks or your client.

From Sign-Up to a Running Daemon In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Cross-seed setup normally means a container, a config file, an API key, a volume, a domain and a certificate before the first match. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Cross-seed from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, and optionally enter your torrent client, Torznab indexer, Sonarr and Radarr URLs.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official Cross-seed image as a single container with no separate database, mount the cross_seed_config volume, generate the API key, and publish the API over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

Point Your Automation At The API

Save the API base URL and API key from the protected installation credentials, allow about a minute for startup, and check https://your-domain/api/ping. Then point autobrr, Sonarr/Radarr hooks or your client at the API with the key in the X-Api-Key header.

Everything Cross-seed Does, On Your Own Server

Cross-seed runs in full here: a cross-seeding daemon with its API on your own domain, configured from the values you enter at install.

  • Automatic Cross-Seeding

Finds torrents you already have in your client that are also available on other trackers, and injects the matches back so the same data seeds in more places.

  • Prowlarr And Jackett Feeds

Searches the Torznab feeds you provide from Prowlarr or Jackett to find matching torrents on other trackers.

  • Four Torrent Clients

Injects matches into qBittorrent, rTorrent, Transmission or Deluge, entered as type-prefixed URLs at install.

  • Webhook And Announce API

Trigger searches from autobrr, Sonarr/Radarr hooks or your client through the webhook and announce API.

  • Sonarr And Radarr Searching

Optional Sonarr and Radarr URLs enable ID-based searching.

  • Generated API Key

A 48-character API key is created at install and sent in the X-Api-Key header. Requests without a key or with a wrong key get 401; only /api/ping is open.

Everything You Need To Run Your Cross-Seeding 24/7

Managed hosting for Cross-seed, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Cross-seed 6.13.7 deployed instantly
  • Official image pinned by digest
  • API key generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Cross-seed

  • Seed the same data on more trackers

Let the daemon look through the torrents you already have and match them against your Torznab indexers, instead of searching each tracker yourself.

  • Feed matches into your client

Have matches injected straight into qBittorrent, rTorrent, Transmission or Deluge.

  • Trigger searches from your automation

Call the webhook and announce API from autobrr, Sonarr/Radarr hooks or your client so a search runs when something new arrives.

  • Use Sonarr and Radarr IDs

Add your Sonarr and Radarr URLs to enable ID-based searching alongside your Prowlarr or Jackett feeds.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Does Cross-seed have a web interface?

No. It is an API-only daemon; use the API base URL and key. The root address answers 404 by design.

How do I sign in?

There is no login. Send the generated API key in the X-Api-Key header. Requests without a key or with a wrong key get 401; only /api/ping is open.

What do I need alongside it?

A supported torrent client and Torznab indexers from Prowlarr or Jackett, reachable from your server over the network. With no torrent client configured the daemon runs in save-only mode and finds nothing to match.

What runs alongside Cross-seed?

Nothing else: it is a single container with no separate database. State is kept in SQLite on the cross_seed_config volume.

Which torrent clients are supported?

qBittorrent, rTorrent, Transmission and Deluge, entered as comma-separated URLs prefixed with the client type.

How do I keep the API key safe?

Anyone with the API key can trigger searches and announces, so keep it private and send it in the X-Api-Key header rather than a query parameter.

Why does the first start take a minute?

The HTTP server starts only after startup validation and client indexing, so allow about a minute, then check https://your-domain/api/ping.

Does it support hardlink or symlink matching?

No. Linking-based matching is unavailable because your client's media volume cannot be shared with this install; matching is strict.

What should I back up?

The cross_seed_config volume (database, logs, torrent cache and saved .torrent files) plus the site's environment values: the API key and your client and indexer URLs.

What survives a restart?

Configuration, database and saved .torrent files live on the persistent cross_seed_config volume and survive an xCloud Restart; the config was intact after a container restart in QA.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update Cross-seed?

No. The template pins Cross-seed 6.13.7 by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up first, read the upstream release notes, then bump the readable tag and digest together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 2 GB of disk; measured idle use in QA was about 29 MiB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

Is xCloud officially partnered with Cross-seed?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the Cross-seed project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source Cross-seed project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
