Daptin hosting gives you a self-hosted API backend with an admin dashboard on your own domain. Deploy Daptin v0.13.44 as a self-hosted API backend platform: xCloud runs the pinned image with a private PostgreSQL 17 database, claims the administrator account with your email and a generated password before the site opens, mounts persistent volumes for the database and files, and publishes it over HTTPS.
Self-hosted Daptin is an API backend platform. Its README describes loading schema files into its runtime so that each configured table becomes a permission-aware JSON:API resource at /api/{entity}, with permission gates on the table, row, relation or action, and other surfaces such as optional GraphQL, WebSockets, file storage and scheduled actions configured as data. Teams run it instead of a hosted backend such as Firebase when they want the API and data on their own server. It is LGPL-3.0 licensed.
On xCloud the template runs the official daptin/daptin v0.13.44 image with a private PostgreSQL 17 database, a one-shot job that claims the administrator and a Caddy gateway, all pinned by immutable digest. The daptin_db and daptin_storage volumes persist the database and uploaded files. HTTPS is published on your domain, public sign-up is rejected once the administrator is claimed, and SMTP is disabled by default.
A Daptin stack normally means the server, a PostgreSQL database, a first-run administrator claim, volumes, a reverse proxy, a domain and a certificate before the first table. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Daptin from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server, then enter the administrator email — that is the only field to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We bring up the official Daptin image pinned by digest with a private PostgreSQL 17 database and a Caddy gateway, mount the daptin_db and daptin_storage volumes, generate the administrator and database passwords, claim the administrator account before the site opens, and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Wait a minute or two for the first start, open your HTTPS Daptin URL and sign in with the administrator email and the password from the protected credentials card. Then create your first table in the dashboard or through the API.
Daptin runs in full here: a schema-driven backend with its dashboard, API and file storage on your own domain, backed by a database you own.
Describe tables in a schema or through the dashboard and Daptin serves them as a permission-aware API at /api, with no server code to write.
Users, groups and ownership, with permissions checked on the table, the individual row, relations and actions.
Manage tables, records and users from the dashboard served at the root of your domain.
Asset columns and uploads are stored on the daptin_storage volume, and the proxy accepts uploads up to 1 GB.
Daptin's /live WebSocket endpoint is proxied through the same HTTPS domain, so clients get record events without a second hostname.
Define actions with inputs, conditions and outcomes, and run them on a schedule, all configured as data in the app.
Managed hosting for Daptin, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Describe tables in a schema or through the dashboard and Daptin serves them as a permission-aware API at /api, so a front-end team can start without writing server code.
Use users, groups and ownership to set permissions on a table, an individual row, relations and actions, rather than one rule for the whole API.
Use asset columns to keep uploaded files on the daptin_storage volume, with the proxy accepting uploads of up to 1 GB, alongside the PostgreSQL data.
Connect to the /live WebSocket endpoint, proxied through the same HTTPS domain, so apps receive record events without a second hostname.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

The manifest asks for 1 CPU core, 384 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk, and QA measured about 200 MiB idle across the app and database. The 6 GB Cloud VPS sold on this page leaves ample headroom as your tables, uploads and API traffic grow.
Yes. Daptin is licensed under the LGPL-3.0, per the LICENSE file at the v0.13.44 tag, and the software carries no fee. xCloud's bill covers just the dedicated Cloud VPS, and your tables and files stay on the daptin_db and daptin_storage volumes of your own server.
Yes, and this is Daptin Docker hosting prepared for you. Upstream documents a docker run and a Compose stack with PostgreSQL; the template runs the official daptin/daptin v0.13.44 image with PostgreSQL 17 and a Caddy gateway, pinned by immutable digest, with two volumes and HTTPS on your domain.
No. The administrator account is claimed before the site opens, and public sign-up is rejected afterwards. Sign-in stays open for the accounts you create. Use the administrator email you entered and the generated password, and change that password inside Daptin after first login.
Optionally. The README describes JSON:API resources at /api/{entity} with GraphQL as an optional attached surface, so do not assume every table is queryable through GraphQL until you have checked your own setup. REST access at /api is the main interface.
Daptin loads new tables when it starts. After you create a table, restart the app from xCloud once and the API will serve it. Do not expect a table created in the dashboard to answer immediately, because the template does not hot-reload the schema.
No. Daptin's SMTP server is disabled and its FTP and IMAP listeners are not exposed, so mail features stay off until you change that in the Environment editor. Do not depend on emailed password resets or notifications until you have configured and tested mail yourself.
Uploads up to 1 GB are accepted through the proxy. JSON bodies on the API are buffered by Daptin with a 10 MiB default, and larger ones are rejected with a 413, so send big payloads as file uploads to an asset column rather than inline JSON.
A backup needs the daptin_db and daptin_storage volumes together, plus the stable environment values. Daptin keeps its JWT and encryption secrets in the database, so losing daptin_db loses those as well as the data. Test a restore before depending on the copy.
Nothing upgrades it for you: the template pins v0.13.44 by immutable digest. Back up both volumes, read the upstream release notes, then adopt a newer template version when one is published, and check that sign-in and an API read still work.
It is your own Daptin on a dedicated Cloud VPS provisioned by xCloud, not a hosted backend service. The container, PostgreSQL and the volumes belong to your install, and only the HTTPS domain is reachable; the database and the Daptin container are private.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
