Convoy Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Convoy hosting on xCloud gives you a self-hosted webhooks gateway on your own domain, for sending and receiving webhooks reliably. Deploy Convoy from the OneClick catalog and xCloud starts the pinned v26.9.0 image with a delivery agent, private PostgreSQL 15 and Redis 7.4, generates the admin password and database credentials, mounts two volumes and publishes the dashboard, REST API and webhook ingest over HTTPS. You run it for your own use.

What is Convoy?

Convoy is, in its README's words, a high-performance webhooks gateway to securely ingest, persist, debug, deliver and manage events reliably, with retries, rate limiting, static IPs, circuit breaking and rolling secrets. It lives at the edge of your network to send webhooks from your services to your users and to receive webhooks from providers and route them on. It has two components, a server and an agent, which scale independently. Self-hosted Convoy is a gateway you run yourself, licensed under the Elastic License 2.0.

On xCloud this template deploys Convoy v26.9.0 from the upstream image, pinned by digest, as a control plane plus an agent, with private PostgreSQL 15 and Redis 7.4. Accounts, projects, endpoints, events and delivery history sit on convoy_postgres_data, and queued deliveries on convoy_redis_data. The dashboard, REST API and ingest URL share your HTTPS domain.

From Sign-Up to Your First Webhook In Just 3 Easy Steps

A Convoy stack normally means the server, a delivery agent, PostgreSQL, Redis, JWT secrets, a domain and a certificate before the first endpoint. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick Convoy from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the Convoy server and delivery agent, with private PostgreSQL 15 and Redis 7.4 kept off the public internet, mount the convoy_postgres_data and convoy_redis_data volumes, generate the admin password and secrets, and publish the server over HTTPS on your domain.

  3. Step 03

    Create Your First Project

Open your HTTPS Convoy URL (the first start runs migrations and can take a minute or two) and sign in as [email protected] with the generated password. Create an organisation and a project, add an endpoint and a subscription, then change the admin password from your profile.

Everything Convoy Does, On Your Own Server

Convoy runs in full here: a webhooks gateway with a delivery dashboard on your own domain, backed by a database and queue you own.

  • Reliable Webhook Delivery

Outgoing webhooks go out with automatic retries, rate limiting and circuit breaking, so one failing endpoint does not stall the rest.

  • Signed Payloads

Payloads are signed so the receiving side can verify that a webhook really came from your gateway.

  • Ingest And Fan Out

Receive third-party webhooks on an ingest URL under your domain and forward each event to several endpoints.

  • Delivery Dashboard

Browse every event and delivery attempt, organised into organisations and projects.

  • REST API On The Same Domain

The dashboard, REST API and webhook ingest are all served from one HTTPS domain; API keys you create grant access to their projects.

  • Private PostgreSQL And Redis

PostgreSQL 15 and Redis 7.4 are reachable only inside the install's private network, with generated passwords and no published ports.

Everything You Need To Run Your Webhooks Gateway 24/7

Managed hosting for Convoy, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • Convoy v26.9.0 deployed instantly
  • Upstream image pinned by digest
  • Admin password generated for you
  • Private PostgreSQL and Redis
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With Convoy

  • Send webhooks to your customers

Deliver events from your product with automatic retries, rate limiting, circuit breaking and signed payloads, instead of building that delivery logic yourself.

  • Receive and fan out third-party webhooks

Point an ingest URL at the gateway and forward each incoming event to several endpoints.

  • See what was delivered

Open the dashboard to inspect every event and each delivery attempt when a customer asks whether a webhook arrived.

  • Keep webhook data on your own server

Hold organisations, projects, endpoints, events and queued deliveries in a PostgreSQL database and Redis volume you control.

Convoy vs Alternatives

Svix
Svix has its own OneClick page. Convoy sends webhooks to your users and also ingests incoming webhooks and fans them out to several endpoints; this page makes no feature-parity claim.
Hookdeck
Convoy runs on a server you control, with its data in your own PostgreSQL and Redis, and this page makes no feature-parity claim against Hookdeck.
n8n
n8n has its own OneClick page. Convoy is a webhooks gateway: it delivers and ingests webhooks with retries, rate limiting and a log of every delivery attempt.
A delivery queue you write yourself
A hand-built queue costs no extra service, but you own the retries, signing and delivery log. Convoy ships those, in exchange for running an agent, PostgreSQL and Redis.

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin Pineda
I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul Singh
So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo Villa
Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson El
I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Is Convoy free?

Convoy is source-available under the Elastic License 2.0, linked from this page at the pinned v26.9.0 tag, not an OSI open-source licence. You can run it for your own use at no charge, and xCloud bills for the Cloud VPS under it. A commercial licence key lifts the community limits.

Can I offer Convoy to my customers as a hosted service?

No. The Elastic License 2.0 forbids providing the software to third parties as a hosted or managed service, and forbids bypassing its licence-key features. Run your own instance for your own use, such as delivering your product's webhooks, and ask the Convoy project about anything beyond that.

Can you self-host Convoy with Docker?

Yes, and this Convoy Docker hosting template does it for you: the upstream getconvoy/convoy image, pinned by digest, runs as a control plane and an agent beside private PostgreSQL and Redis containers on your own server, with HTTPS in front of port 5005. You never write the compose file.

How much RAM does Convoy need?

Convoy's manifest sets its minimum at 256 MB of RAM, one CPU core and 5 GB of disk for the server, agent, PostgreSQL and Redis together. Event volume and retained delivery history set the practical need. This page sells the 6 GB tier, which leaves wide headroom.

How do I sign in to Convoy?

Open your HTTPS address and sign in as [email protected] with the generated admin password from the credentials card. Then create an organisation and a project. Change the password from the profile page afterwards; the card keeps showing the original value and goes out of date.

Why does Convoy need Redis and PostgreSQL?

PostgreSQL holds organisations, projects, endpoints, events and delivery attempts. Redis holds the delivery queue with append-only persistence, set never to evict keys under memory pressure. Both are private to the install with no published ports. The first start runs migrations, so the dashboard can take a minute or two.

What are the limits of the Convoy community edition?

Without a licence key, Convoy runs in community mode with one user, one organisation and two projects. A commercial CONVOY_LICENSE_KEY from the Convoy project lifts those limits, and you add it in the Environment editor. Self-registration is off, and inviting more users also needs SMTP.

Is email configured?

No. Verification, invite and password-reset emails are queued but cannot be delivered until you add the CONVOY_SMTP settings in the Environment editor. Outgoing webhook deliveries go to whatever endpoint URLs you configure, and Convoy blocks loopback addresses by default.

How do I back up Convoy?

Back up both volumes together: convoy_postgres_data holds accounts, projects, endpoints, events and delivery history, and convoy_redis_data holds queued and scheduled deliveries. Keep the JWT secrets stable, because changing them signs everyone out. Stop the stack first for a snapshot, or use pg_dump.

How do I upgrade Convoy?

A running v26.9.0 gateway is not touched by catalog changes, and you adopt a newer template version when ready. Back up both volumes and read the upstream release notes first. Migrations then run automatically when the server starts, so a restart applies pending ones.

Is Convoy an alternative to Svix?

Svix has its own OneClick page. Convoy sends webhooks to your users and also ingests webhooks from providers and fans them out. This page makes no feature-parity or performance claim, so read both projects' docs and licences before you choose.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
