Deploy Ferron hosting and serve your static website from a fast, memory-safe Rust web server on your own domain. xCloud runs the pinned Ferron 2.8.1 Alpine image, keeps the web root on a persistent volume and publishes it over HTTPS in minutes. Until you add files it shows the bundled welcome page, and the site is public with no login.
Ferron is a fast, memory-safe web server written in Rust. It serves files from a web root, and its configuration file covers virtual hosts, redirects, reverse proxying and access control. Run on your own server it is a self-hosted Ferron, an alternative to a static site host such as Netlify or GitHub Pages, with the code under the MIT licence and your files on a volume you hold.
On xCloud it is the upstream ghcr.io/ferronweb/ferron 2.8.1 Alpine image, pinned by digest, serving the ferron_www volume as a website. The xCloud proxy terminates HTTPS, so Ferron's own automatic TLS stays off. The configuration is left at the image default, Ferron reads no environment variables, and there is no login, admin panel or upload form: files are copied into the volume on the server.
A Ferron site normally means the server image, a web root volume, a published port, a domain and a certificate before the first page. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Ferron from the OneClick catalog. Choose a domain and target server; the install form has no fields to fill in.
Step 02
One click. We start ghcr.io/ferronweb/ferron 2.8.1-alpine, pinned by digest, mount the ferron_www web root volume and publish it over HTTPS on your domain. It is usually ready in about 15 seconds.
Step 03
Open your URL to see the welcome page. Then copy your site's files into the ferron_www volume on the server. They are served at once with no restart.
Ferron 2.8.1 runs here as a plain static web server, with its web root on a volume you own.
Ferron is a web server written in Rust, a language chosen for strong memory safety, built for high concurrency.
The server serves whatever sits in its web root, seeded with a welcome page until you copy in your own files.
Copy new files into the ferron_www volume and they are served at once. There is no restart and no build step.
TLS ends at the xCloud proxy in front of Ferron, so Ferron's own automatic TLS is not used.
Virtual hosts, redirects, reverse proxying and access control live in Ferron's configuration file, left at the image default here.
There is no login, admin panel or upload form, so every file in the web root is readable by anyone.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Gary MoodyxCloud gave me what no other hosting platform could: the flexibility of a VPS with the convenience of managed WordPress. As a solo founder running an entire business on one server, that combination is an important unfair advantage.
Jorge de los Reyes MartínezI use Server Avatar and xCloud and I'll sooner use xCloud than Server Avatar personally.

Yes, and this template is Ferron Docker hosting without the setup: the upstream ghcr.io/ferronweb/ferron 2.8.1-alpine image pinned by digest, the ferron_www web root volume mounted, no database to run and HTTPS on your own domain.
The template minimum is 256 MB of RAM, 1 CPU core and 1 GB of disk. There is no database, so the server is ready within seconds. The first plan on this page sits well above it.
Copy your site's files into the ferron_www Docker volume on the server; docker volume inspect shows the folder. Changes are served immediately with no restart. Keep an index.html there, because the container health check requests the root page.
No. Ferron has no accounts, admin panel or upload form, so everyone who can reach the domain can read every file in the web root. Put HTTP Basic Auth in front at your own proxy if part of the site should be private.
Not here. Ferron supports automatic TLS upstream, but the xCloud proxy terminates HTTPS in front of it, so the template serves plain HTTP on the loopback port only and does not enable Ferron's own certificates or ask Let's Encrypt for any.
Ferron reads /etc/ferron.kdl, baked into the image. It serves the web root on port 80 and writes logs under /var/log/ferron. The template leaves it at the default, and Ferron reads no environment variables, so the Environment editor has nothing to change.
Yes. Ferron is released under the MIT licence, which carries no fee for the software itself. Your spend is the dedicated Cloud VPS that serves your static site, and there is no separate subscription for the web server on top. That makes it a Ferron cloud of your own.
Back up the ferron_www volume, which holds your whole website. There is no database to dump. Nothing schedules the copy, so run it yourself, keep a copy off the server, and take one before any upgrade you adopt.
The install stays on its pinned 2.8.1 image until you adopt a newer template version. Back up the ferron_www volume first, then redeploy without deleting it. Existing sites are never upgraded automatically, and the volume is not deleted by a redeploy.
Ferron's configuration file supports reverse proxying with load balancing and health checks, per upstream. This template leaves the configuration at the image default and gives you no way to edit it from the dashboard, so treat reverse proxying as upstream capability only.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
