FeatBit Hosting Live In 5 Minutes

Deploy FeatBit hosting and ship code behind feature flags on a stack you own. xCloud runs the pinned FeatBit 6.0.0 dashboard, management API and SDK evaluation server with a private PostgreSQL 15 database, creates the first administrator with a generated password, mounts a persistent volume and publishes all three endpoints over HTTPS in minutes.

What is FeatBit?

FeatBit is an open-source feature flags management tool for developers. You create flags in a dashboard, decide who sees each feature and when, and your applications read the result through FeatBit's SDKs, so code can be deployed first and released later without another deployment.

A standalone FeatBit install is three services: the dashboard, a management API and an evaluation server that SDKs talk to, with PostgreSQL behind them. Upstream describes the project as MIT-licensed, with certain features requiring a valid FeatBit license key.

From Sign-Up to a Live Flag Dashboard In Just 3 Easy Steps

A FeatBit stack normally means three services, a database, generated secrets, a volume, three domains and certificates before the first flag. This is the same result without assembling any of it.

  1. Step 01

Create your xCloud account and pick FeatBit from the OneClick catalog. Choose domains for the dashboard, the API and the evaluation server — all under one parent domain — then enter the administrator email.

  2. Step 02

    We Deploy It For You

One click. We bring up the official FeatBit dashboard, API and evaluation-server images, pinned by immutable digest, with a private PostgreSQL 15 database kept off the public internet, mount the featbit_postgres volume, generate the administrator password, database password and session signing key, and publish each endpoint over HTTPS.

  3. Step 03

Sign In And Create A Flag

Allow a minute or two for the first boot, open your HTTPS FeatBit dashboard and sign in with the administrator email and the generated password. Name your organization and first project, create a feature flag, then point your SDKs at the evaluation server URL with an environment's SDK key.

Everything FeatBit Does, On Your Own Server

FeatBit runs in full here: the dashboard, the management API and the SDK evaluation server on your own domains, backed by a database you own.

  • Release Without Redeploying

Ship code behind feature flags and switch features on or off from the dashboard, so deployments and releases are separate steps.

  • Targeted And Gradual Rollouts

Roll a feature out progressively and target specific users or reusable segments based on user attributes.

  • A Dedicated Evaluation Server

SDKs connect to their own HTTPS evaluation endpoint, which supports HTTP and real-time WebSocket streaming.

  • Official SDKs

Connect applications with FeatBit's official SDKs for .NET, JavaScript, React, React Native, Node.js, Java, Python and Go, plus OpenFeature providers.

  • Management API With Access Tokens

Automate flag changes through FeatBit's management API using access tokens.

  • Private PostgreSQL, No Extra Services

Users, organizations, projects, flags, segments and audit logs sit in a private PostgreSQL 15 database; the standalone stack needs no Redis, Kafka or ClickHouse.

Everything You Need To Run Your Feature Flags 24/7

Managed hosting for FeatBit, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.

  • FeatBit 6.0.0 deployed instantly
  • Official images pinned by digest
  • Administrator password generated for you
  • Kept behind xCloud nginx
  • Free SSL certificate
  • Server backups and snapshots
  • Server security updates included
  • 30+ server locations
  • Unused balance refunded

What You Can Do With FeatBit

  • Decouple deployments from releases

Merge and deploy code whenever it is ready, then switch the feature on from the dashboard when the business is.

  • Roll out to a few users first

Release to a small share of users or a defined segment, watch what happens and widen the rollout step by step.

  • Switch a feature off without a redeploy

If a release misbehaves, turn the flag off instead of shipping a new build.

  • Keep flag data on your own server

Flag definitions, users and audit logs live in your own PostgreSQL database rather than with a hosted flag service.

Hear what people are saying about us

See why agencies, developers, startups, and growing businesses choose xCloud to power their projects.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian Geovanny
I've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.

I'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting

xCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.

xCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.

Trust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍

So far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.

Came from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.

I've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony Lewis
I came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowell
I like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose

Dear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

How do I sign in the first time?

Use the administrator email you entered at install and the generated password from your installation credentials. Upstream's default demo login is replaced, and it is rejected.

What runs alongside FeatBit?

FeatBit's standalone stack is three services — the dashboard, the management API and the evaluation server — plus a private PostgreSQL 15 database with no published port. You do not need Redis, Kafka or ClickHouse.

Where do my applications connect?

Point FeatBit SDKs at the "Evaluation server (SDKs)" URL from your credentials, using the SDK key of the environment you want to read. The evaluation server supports HTTP and WebSocket streaming.

Why should the three domains share a parent domain?

The dashboard keeps you signed in with a cookie set by the API. Browsers do not send that cookie between unrelated sites, so a dashboard and API on different parent domains would sign you out after a few minutes. Use something like flags.example.com, flags-api.example.com and flags-eval.example.com.

Can other people sign up?

No. There is no public sign-up: /register redirects to login and the API returns 401 without a token. Invite teammates from the dashboard.

How do I change the administrator password?

Change it from your FeatBit profile after the first sign-in. Editing ADMIN_EMAIL or ADMIN_PASSWORD later does not change the existing account.

What should I back up?

The featbit_postgres volume, which holds every user, project, flag, segment and audit log. A pg_dump of the featbit database plus the stored POSTGRES_PASSWORD is enough to restore; keep copies off the server.

What survives a restart?

Users, organizations, projects, flags and their on/off state, because they sit on the featbit_postgres named volume; they survived an xCloud Restart in QA.

Does changing JWT_KEY or POSTGRES_PASSWORD matter?

Changing JWT_KEY signs everyone out. POSTGRES_PASSWORD is applied only when the database volume is first created, so rotate it inside PostgreSQL first.

Are all FeatBit features included?

FeatBit is MIT-licensed open core: upstream states the bulk of the code is MIT and certain features need a valid FeatBit license key. See FeatBit's license documentation for which ones.

What are the server requirements, and why does this page sell 6 GB?

The template's baseline asks for 1 CPU core, 512 MB of RAM and 5 GB of disk; measured use in QA was about 200 MB idle and about 265 MB after active use, and busier instances should have 1 GB. This page sells the 6 GB tier as the entry rung, with real headroom above that baseline.

Does xCloud automatically back up or update FeatBit?

No. The template pins the FeatBit images and PostgreSQL by immutable digest; new installations use the pinned release, existing sites are not automatically upgraded. Back up the database first and read FeatBit's release notes; moving an existing install to a newer release also needs that release's database migration scripts. Then bump the readable image tags and digests together on your own schedule. Server-level backups and snapshots are available on every Cloud VPS.

Is xCloud officially partnered with FeatBit?

No. No official partnership or endorsement between xCloud and the FeatBit project has been verified. This is a deployment and server-management option for the open-source FeatBit project.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
