Deploy Jean hosting and run a self-hosted AI coding agent workspace that gives each task its own git worktree and runs agent command-line tools against your repositories from the browser. xCloud starts the pinned jean-server image, generates the access token, keeps repositories, worktrees and provider logins on a persistent volume and serves it over HTTPS. Jean includes no model: you sign in to your own AI provider.
Jean is an open-source workspace for AI coding agents, released under the Apache-2.0 licence. Upstream describes running Claude, Codex, OpenCode and other agents in parallel, each in its own git worktree, with sessions, a multi-dock terminal, code review helpers and GitHub, Linear and Sentry integrations. It can run as a desktop app or as a headless jean-server whose full UI is served over HTTP and WebSocket with token auth. A self-hosted Jean is a browser-based alternative to a hosted cloud dev environment such as GitHub Codespaces.
On xCloud the template runs the official ghcr.io/coollabsio/jean-server v1.0.12 image, pinned by digest, as one container with one volume, jean_home, at /home/jean. There are no user accounts: one shared access token is the only login, and it grants terminals and agent execution inside the container. Agent tools are downloaded on first use, so the server needs outbound internet.
A self-hosted agent workspace normally means a container, a persistent home directory, an access secret, a domain and a certificate before the first prompt. This is the same result without assembling any of it.
Step 01
Create your xCloud account and pick Jean from the OneClick catalog. Choose your domain and target server — there are no extra fields to fill in, because xCloud generates the access token.
Step 02
One click. We start the official Jean container, pinned by immutable digest, as a single service with no database alongside it, mount the jean_home volume at /home/jean, generate the 48-character access token and publish it over HTTPS on your domain.
Step 03
Save the access token from the protected installation credentials, open your HTTPS Jean URL and paste the token at the sign-in prompt. Complete Jean's setup, add or create a project, install your agent CLI from Jean's settings, log in to your AI provider and send your first prompt.
Jean runs in full here: a browser workspace for repositories, worktrees and agent sessions on a server you control.
Manage git repositories and isolated worktrees from one browser workspace, so each task can run in its own worktree.
Chat with coding agents such as Claude and Codex that read and edit files in a project or a worktree.
Terminals and chat sessions are available from any browser, behind the generated access token.
Jean does not include a language model. You log in to your own AI provider inside Jean, and your prompts go to that provider.
Keep agent work on a server you control instead of a laptop, with repositories, worktrees, sessions and provider logins held in the persistent volume.
Data, git and SSH configuration, provider logins and downloaded agent tools live in the jean_home volume, which stayed in place across a container restart in verification.
Managed hosting for Jean, so the parts that keep it online are not your problem.
Give every task its own git worktree so parallel agent sessions do not collide.
Open your projects, terminals and diffs from a laptop or phone through one HTTPS address.
Use editable prompts for code review, commit messages and pull request content, tied to GitHub.
Log in to Claude, Codex or OpenCode yourself, with no model or key supplied by the host.

xCloud works really well, I am surprised by its performance being this the release version, I have tried many paid platforms such as runcloud, cloudpages or serveravatar, as well as free platforms such as CyberPanel, CloudPanel or Hestia Control Panel and direct competitors such as SpinupWP and FlyWP. Of all those that I have tried, the platform that works best for WordPress is SpinupWP and I believe that xCloud can reach and surpass that development, its roadmap is promising. Congratulations to the xCloud team, I hope they become the leading platform in the segment, it has all the potential to achieve it!
Brian GeovannyI've been with runcloud for the last 3 years. However, after trying xcloud for the last month, I'm switching over. They are on a roll with their setup.
Kevin PinedaI'm moving my servers to xCloud, a cloud control panel by M Asif Rahman and the WPDeveloper team. Their roadmap looks interesting and no, there are no team mates nor API limits with xCloud! #xCloud #wordpress #hosting
Leo KooHow Cloud Nine Web Elevated Client Experience While Streamlining Hosting Operations using xCloud
Ed EllinghamxCloud is like having an expert server team on call — without the big agency costs. It's given me back my time and given my clients peace of mind. Highly recommended for freelancers and small teams who want reliable performance and security.
Dumitru ButucelxCloud isn't just a solution. It's like one of that friend who got your back when you screw things up pretty bad.
Waqar AhmedTrust me when I say, once people explore the potential of xCloud they gonna switch from other panels, just keep delivering the best tech, lots of love for the team 😍😍
Rahul SinghSo far my experience has been smooth like silk. I didn't imagine that configuring and managing a VPS would be so easy. As of today, I have deployed 8 sites. The support is good, and they treat users with respect, even if they ask stupid questions (myself included). For the future, I hope for greater flexibility in scheduled backups and more comprehensive and consistent documentation. I'm sure that within a few months, xCloud will become the leader in its segment. This community is amazing, and the Staff here is super helpful.
Massimo VillaCame from cloudways then to runcloud then to xcloud. Looks like I'm staying here.
Gerson ElI've recently taken all of my Vultr-hosted sites and gotten rid of cPanel for them to substitute it with xCloud. I have to say, I'm really impressed with xCloud so far! The interface is definitely the standout feature for me.
Tony LewisI came from Cloudways and won't go back. Highly impressed with xCloud. Glad I gave them a chance.
Jared McDowellI like xCloud better than RunCloud, but one thing I'll point out is that some years ago RunCloud was hungry for business, the support was outstanding, and the community was active and helped each other. Maybe it was sold, there was a change in management, or they stopped being hungry, but the quality of the RunCloud offering declined and it hasn't been moving forward quickly. My point is that currently the xCloud team has the edge and it is theirs to keep or lose
David McCanHow Kevin Heinrichs Cut Hosting Costs by 84% While Running WooCommerce & Node.js Sites Efficiently
Kevin HeinrichsI had 150 sites on cloudways and am in the process of moving them to xcloud. Much faster and better priced.
Dan SpinozaDear xCloud Team, I have been using xCloud for some time now and am genuinely impressed with its capabilities and the flexibility it offers by allowing users to bring their own VPS for management. It's a fantastic service, and my experience so far has been very positive. Successful migrated 5 sites on a single server. Xcloud migration tool worked great. There were few hiccups with security plugin like MalCare but disabling the plugin prior to migration worked just fine.
Rahil MaknojiaCame from runcloud. Tried xcloud and never came back.

Yes. For Jean Docker hosting, the template runs the official ghcr.io/coollabsio/jean-server v1.0.12 image, pinned by digest, as one container serving the web interface, API and WebSocket on port 3456. It is bound to loopback and published only through xCloud's HTTPS proxy.
Jean is open source under the Apache-2.0 licence, so the workspace has no licence fee. The xCloud charge is for the Cloud VPS and the deployment. Your AI provider is separate: Jean uses your own CLI installations and subscriptions, and those carry their own cost.
The manifest asks for 1024 MB of RAM, one CPU core and 10 GB of disk, but agents, builds and repositories add their own memory and disk use. QA measured about 825 MB right after an agent session, and the 6 GB plan here leaves headroom above that.
Open your HTTPS address and paste the access token from your credentials panel when Jean asks. There are no user accounts, so the token is the only login. Rotate it by changing JEAN_TOKEN in the environment editor and redeploying. Never leave it empty or share it widely.
No. Jean has no bundled model. After signing in, you add repositories and log in to your own AI provider from inside Jean, for example Claude or Codex with an OpenAI key. The agents send your prompts and the code you share to that provider, so the server needs outbound internet.
Back up the jean_home volume while the site is stopped. It holds Jean's data, repositories, worktrees, git and SSH configuration, provider logins and downloaded agent tools. SSH keys and logins sit there in plain text, so protect the backup carefully.
The image tag v1.0.12 is pinned with its digest, so newer catalog entries touch only fresh installs. Before moving, snapshot jean_home, skim the upstream release notes, and then choose a newer template version. Agent CLIs live inside the volume and are fetched separately from the image.
Anyone with the token gets terminals and agent execution as the unprivileged jean user inside the container, and can read every repository, SSH key and provider login in jean_home. Treat the token like a root password for that workspace, and leave JEAN_ALLOWED_ORIGINS unset so only the same origin can call it.
Yes. Jean cloud use gives the workspace a dedicated Cloud VPS with your domain and certificate, usually ready within about a minute while the image pulls. A server you already rent from someone else works too, once connected as self-managed.
Yes. There is no lock-in — cancel any time. Hosting is billed monthly and charged for what you actually use, so when you delete the server the unused balance is refunded to your account, less up to 10% in payment-processing fees.
Connect your first server in minutes. No plan you have to grow into.
